How to unlock the Iron Will achievement in Alan Wake Remastered - Definitive Guide

Difficultly can be completed on: Easy
Goal: Don't get health to grey/less then one bar during the final boss fight.

At the end of the episode you will encounter a boss fight with "Barry". I found this achievement was very easy if you stockpile the flares for the boss fight.

There will be an ammo crate for revolver ammo and I believe also a shotgun crate. The first part of the fight consists of a few taken.

After the taken are killed, Barry will jump down get close to him, throw down flares next to him and shine your light to remove his darkness shield quickly and then unload into him. This will need to be done three times. Run up to him as quickly as you can and repeat with the flares and flashlight.

During the fight you will get swooped by multiple groups of ravens. If you are constant with flares they shouldn't do too much damage. You can tell the a group of ravens about to attack as they will screech right before doing so.

Once Barry is dead your achievement should pop.

* Note: Not I am not sure if checking point during the fight will still count for the achievement.

The original solution for the 360 version had a tip that said to back up against the refrigerator that's near the entrance to the bridge, the one that you crossed to get to the final encounter. That's what I did, and it's perfect, because you can't get flanked and all you have to do is watch what's in front of you. Easy peasy.

*MISSABLE*

You must finish the last scene without going into low health (being in the last quarter of life or lower). You must fight darkness infused characters from the story. Dr. Hartman, the Anderson brothers (both at once), and Barry. They are the in the form of the "fast" taken, that go blurry while moving quickly to different areas around you. Crows will also attack you. Use flares if crows are attacking and do your best to dispose of the enemies quickly. Barry is the last of the encounter, and you will have to essentially defeat him three times. If you do fall into low health, I advise to reload your checkpoint and try again.

What exactly is needed? At the end of the game, during the battle at the cottage on the island with Barry and others, you should not receive damage below 20%, as I understand it, this is not below the last 2 bars of health. If it still falls below, you can try
Restart the checkpoint to try again, but keep in mind that restarting the checkpoint doesn't always work.

Additional episode “Writer” You really need an iron will and nerves. In principle, the episode is easy to complete due to the large abundance of weapons and ammunition, but at the beginning of the episode there are a lot of moments where you can very easily fall and thereby ruin your passage. It took me about 10 tries to get the hang of rock jumping. Just run, shoot, dodge and take your time. I strongly recommend accumulating charges for the flare gun and flares (False Flares) so as not to experience difficulties with the final enemies at the end of the episode

The final battle, if you haven’t received the trophy, then click “continue” after the credits, find yourself again before the battle and, if you complete it with a minimum of damage, you will receive the trophy.
