How to unlock the Meet the Deadline achievement in Alan Wake Remastered - Definitive Guide
Episodes - Easy - Ep3: Ransom - Mirror Peak
Timer starts once you reach the Museum and the "kidnapper" is calling you. I had a timer running next to me.
By around 10 minutes I was at the train with the keys next to it and by the 16 minutes mark I crashed the cable car. Í arrived at the lake around the 20 minutes mark.
There is no real strategy to this. Just ignore everything unless it's right next to your objective or on your path and run without depleting your stamina.

Even easier on the remastered version than the 360 due to the addition of Easy difficulty, although it wasn't especially hard being forced to do it on at least Normal once you'd played through once and knew where you were going. But now there's the bonus of even less chance of dying than there was in the past.
The timings seem about the same as i had, got to the steam train after 10 minutes or so and finished with between five and ten minutes to spare

Did this on normal difficulty, while also picking up collectibles. Died like 3-4 times and STILL made it in time for the achievement. Just run efficiently and this is an EZ cheevo.

Starting from the moment the call ended, it took me 32 minutes until the achievement popped right after the ambush in the ruined house. So a couple of things...
1. Either the clock starts sometime later, they are really forgiving on time, or certain things (cinematics) don't count toward time.
2. For those who don't know, the Cauldron Lake sign is NOT the end. I was around 26 minutes at that point.
3. I died twice in the last house and still made it. (I also died once getting across the dark trainyard because I crashed the car.) I ended up running through the house after the fall, dropping flares to keep them off me. It popped right as I went through the gap on the roof.
4. The train sequence didn't slow me down either time I went through because I stood behind poles and boxes while shining my light. They can't go through them, and you can aim around the objects. Just don't stand in the open.
I have no idea how people are claiming to do it faster. Even accounting for dying, I couldn't have made it in less than maybe 28 minutes, and I can't think of a thing I could have done to be more efficient, much less look for collectibles. (The hike up the mountain for the manuscript page and the thermos took 3-4 minutes alone my first time through.) The point is that the clock seems to be forgiving. If you think you aren't going to make it, get through the last house ASAP anyway, and you might be surprised.

This is 100% complete guide to all achievement/collectibles and full game.

Load up Episode 3, Part 2 (Mirror Peak) & dash from the beginning to the end in 30 minutes. Quite easy, so long as you just concentrate on moving forward quickly.
The starting point is actually after a phone call cutscene at the mine museum, not the beginning. You can reload checkpoints to reset the times if you screwed up and went the wrong direction or couldn't figure out where to go.

Episode 3 (Mine Museum). The countdown begins when Alan Wake receives a call on his mobile phone. We just run, dodge the possessed and run again. The achievement is counted after you pass the abandoned building. In principle, there is enough time for the eyes. Video guide (en) with passage in 19 minutes.

Episode 3, Mirror Peak. The countdown begins after you get to the first floor. You can die, you can pause too
