How to unlock the Energized! achievement in Alan Wake - Definitive Guide

Really this one takes no time at all to get. By the time I finished the game I had over 350 batteries used just look for the Y on the screen when your flashlight is drained and push the button.

Easy one to get. Good Luck

If you're like me you wont get this in your first playthrough because either you dont bother using batteries and just wait for your flashlight to recharge, or dont use batteries often.

Well Instead of waiting for the prompt which tells you to press Y just tap Y repeatedly while you are focusing your flashlight with LT, you dont have to wait for your flashlight energy to be fully depleted. So everytime you grab a battery pack, tap Y until you use up all your batteries

This will come within one playthrough easily and is almost impossible to miss.

You can change your battery by pressing Y.

like everyone has said you'll probably get this in one playthrough but to be safe and get it out of the way in practically any checkpoint you should have at least 10 batteries just drain the light a little pop another battery in and restart the checkpoint once your out this should take you all of 2-3 minutes.

I didn't really use that many batteries on my first playthrough, so I ended up just shining the torch randomly, then replacing the batteries... (on normal playthrough, you can get through most of the game without needing to replace the batteries.)

You'll probably get this naturally if you play through both Normal & Nightmare, but if not, just flick the torch on for a few seconds, then replace the batteries...

Check your progress in the stats...

This achievement is very manageable over the course of the game. When your flashlight starts running low on juice just press the Y button to recharge it for a battery usage. Over the course of the game you should use around 100 or more, if your hasty enough hah.

P.S. With each new chapter you will lose all weapons and ammo storage you have before transitioning. It's best to purposely use up any left over batteries before moving on to the next chapter.

You'll then pop this 10G achievement upon using your 100th battery!

Like everyone else is saying, you'll get it for sure with one play through. But if your desperate to get it right away, right at the start of the game you'll have to kill that with an axe, and you have to pick up that flashlight on the log. Just use the 2 batteries by hitting Y, then just reload checkpoint.

Probably will happen naturally as you play the game. but you can always spam it whenever you want to open this achievement.
Easily achievable as you play through the game, specially if you are going for all achievement anyway.

This won't take long to unlock through natural progression. Batteries are what enable you to boost your Flashlight, and you can hold up to 20 batteries at one time. Just keep doing what you're doing. If you find yourself nearing the end of the game without having unlocked this achievement, just burn through whatever batteries you have in stock. Also, if your battery inventory is full, burn out your current battery to use one so you can pick the next one up.

Playing on normal the first time through you're likely to never run out of batteries - there are a ton of them dotted around. Don't be afraid to use them when they run out by clicking  as you're likely to pick up loads & more often than not, have a full supply. Use 100 of the batteries (pressing ) & you get this achievement.
