If I have completed a Normal playthrough and want to start a Nightmare playthrough, do stats/collectibles carry over, or will they be reset?

Is there anyway to know which one you're missing? I just need one, but I don't know which. FML.

For those who prefer visuals, I found these "Hidden Chest Locations Guides" on youtube (which you would have found yourself anyways).

Hidden chest locations : Episodes 1-3

Hidden chest locations : Episodes 4-6

Credits to XCVii007r1 for making these video guides!

Any suggestions to improve this guide are welcome.

Thanks for voting thumbs up if this guide was helpful.

Good luck!

There are many guides around the internet but i found this one on Xbox360Acievements.org easiest to use as they have the items colourcoded too.

Here is the link:
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23...

I do not take responsibility or credit for this guide, The user Tyger7 on xbox360achievements.org is the one who made the guide and full credit should go to them.

Realistically, you cannot follow a video guide or individual list for your "collectibles" run through this game. There's just too many things to watch for. You'll need to follow a sequential guide, and it will most likely ruin the experience, but it would suck to miss a chest and not know which chapter it's in.

Tyger7 has a great walkthrough available in a zipped doc here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23...
I recommend using Dropbox or email to send this doc to your iPad/mobile device, so you can play in the dark!

There are thirty chests. Your cumulative total after completing each chapter should be:

Chapter 1: four
Chapter 2: nine
Chapter 3: fourteen
Chapter 4: eighteen
Chapter 5: twenty-five
Chapter 6: thirty
8
9

There are 30 chests in all to collect in the action scenes of Alan Wake, which are hinted at with blobs and arrows of yellow UV paint. Check out the full list here.
