As you run around with your flash light, you'll occasionally find yellow arrows that only show in the light. If you follow them, they will take you to one of these hidden chests, which will usually have ammo, batteries, flashbangs, and flares in them. So you definitely want to keep an eye out for these. You should be able to get this achievement on your first play through if you just keep your eyes out for them.
