use the Shotgun more often, and keep an eye for the ammo because you can carry limited amount of shells
switch to pump action shotgun whenever possible it is quicker and carry 8 shells instead of just 2
this is an easy achievement and you can get it in your first playthrough so there is no need to rush or reload sectors as long as you use the shotgun whenever you have ammo
just a tip : to conserve ammunition try to get close to any unfortunate taken you're aiming at, it's much deadlier at close range, so if possible take out their dark barrier and get close, then shoot them with the shotgun for maximum effect, it is also possible to kill two with one shot which unlocks another achievement

very easy achievement first all you need is a shotgun and play the game threw and kill as many taken as you can. or find a checkpoint where you are loaded with shotgun ammo and theres at least 3-4 taken and just kill them and kill yourself and rinse and repeat because your kills cary over even after you die and do not hit a checkpoint.

Shotgun ammo is pretty common. If you're playing on Easy, don't worry about conserving your ammo. Even though the Shotgun will help take down the big Taken easier, use your shots on the regular Taken to get the achievement quicker. If done right, you should be able to nail the Revolver, Hunting Rifle and Shotgun achievements in one play through.

The same as the hunting rifle this one, except ammo and shotguns are more often found than the hunting rifle. It's pretty much one shot kills for most things if you're close enough. Remember to whittle away at that dark presence first. Don't waste ammo either... if you can, try and get a two-for-one shot once in a while.
