After the intro and fighting tutorial, you will be outside. Jump up to the top of the building on the right to get the wrench, then to back to the NPC you spoke to at the start.

Once you return this, you will go into a short side scrolling section. Head all the way to the left, and at the end smash the boxes there to meet your new chicken friend. Interact with him, watch the scene and the achievement will unlock.
