Instinct mode is activated by pressing during a mission. When you know what you are doing and have enough experience, this is pretty easy. Quite simply, don't press for an entire mission.

This can easily be done on Level 1, ‘Ghosts of the Past.’ Refer to “Once Upon a Time” for a video on how to get this and five other achievements in the first level.
