How to unlock the Raiders achievement in Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX - Definitive Guide

At the start of the fight Funky Monkey will laugh at you and then climb a tree on the left side of the screen. From the branch in the top left corner, Funky Monkey will throw seeds at you throughout the entire fight. Keep an eye out for the seeds as they approach to make sure you don't get hit by them.

Now comes Grizzly Bear. He'll chase after you for roughly 3 seconds, after which he'll lift up his sword. At this point you can start punching/shooting him. Quickly back away before he slashes his sword downwards. Repeat this process until you defeat him.

It is one of the chievos that ONLY unlock if you was playing without infinite lives, so you'll NEED to go from the beggining to the end of the level (boss included) with just 3 lives +any that you could find in the way.

Note: You still can smooth the pain using stage select after beat the game for the first time at your own pace and conditions.

I won the fight but didn't get the achievement.
Is it glitched? Or do you have to do something special during the fight?

At the end of level 9, you will run into Funky Monkey who will jump into the trees and call over Grizzly Bear who wishes to loot Alex. Defeat Grizzly Bear by dodging his attacks and Monkey's attacks until Grizzly Bear raises his sword to slash down. At this point he is vulnerable to attacks. Defeat Grizzly Bear to also defeat Funky Monkey, and earn this trophy.
