How to unlock the Cold Arms, Cold Heart achievement in Alice: Madness Returns - Definitive Guide
Defeat the Drowned Sailor without taking any damage.
You will come across the Drowned Sailor in Chapter 2. The Drowned Sailor has many of the same attacks as the Lost Souls you encounter earlier in the chapter.
Surprise Attack: The Drowned Sailor will disappear undergound and will eventually rush at you, slicing up with his weapon. When he does so, tap RB to dodge the attack. After the initial attack, he will drop back and release a second downward slicing attack. Again tap RB to dodge. After missing with the downward attack the Sailor will become stunned and he will be sitting on the ground. At this time you're free to use any weapon you please to attack him.
Bombs Away: The Sailor will appear with two bombs in his hands. Shoot at him with the pepper grinder, and the bomb will eventually blow up on him, stunning him and knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, feel free to use any weapon you please to attack him.
Rinse and repeat. Dodge the attacks and before too long, you will down him easily, without taking any damage.
*If you don't succeed, hit the Start button and then choose Restart. It will take you to your last checkpoint, which is just before you encounter the Drowned Sailor.*
Lastly, you will know when you are encountering the Drowned Sailor instead of a Lost Soul. How? It tells you. Subtitles come up and say "Drowned Sailor."
If you're going to vote negative, please say why! Thanks!

Thanks to Sandwich Lady for the exact chapter reload to go to in case you miss the cheeve on your first playthrough.
"Just to add if you're reloading checkpoints then it is "Lost Souls Locker" on chapter 2 (one from last)"
Find the third Radula Room. It is a good deal through the level and you'll only access it after pulling a chain to gain access. Jump over two air vents and enter the shell. The challenge for this room is simply to survive. You'll fight two drowned sailers, as well as two daimyo wasps. For me, this got to be way too much, so I started dodging (since you only need to survive, not kill everything). Do this for about two minutes and the achievement should pop if you avoid getting hit. When I got it, I was surprised to say the least. If you're having trouble or simply dont want much hassle, this should work for you.
This is the easiest method I'd say.
Hope this helps.
I found the best way is to, fully upgrade your pepper grinder and stay at distance with him.
When he goes to attack you, the screen will slow down and you’ll have a short amount of time to dodge. Once you do that he will do another attack right after, dodge again. Remember to keep your distance.
Once You dodged his attacks he will be “stunned” on the ground, just use your pepper grinder until he stands back up.
Once he does, wait for him to bring his bombs out and hit those bombs, once he does this, his shield will be down, if you hit his bombs he will be “stunned” again on the ground and just keep using your pepper grinder and he should be dead/finished after that.
REMINDER - FULLY UPGRADED PEPPER GRINDER!
Tip: when fighting him, use your auto lock button at all times with him which is LT
You will fight the downed sailor in chapter 2, after talking to the Carpenter that is riding on a whale. In the spoiler tag there will be info on how to defeat the Sailor, this was also played on Nightmare difficulty with the Vorpal Blade fully upgraded. If you get hit once, just restart from the pause screen. Remember to get the Snout and memory that is there.
You can get this trophy during any fight sequence with the Downed Sailor, remember he is the one that throws the bombs. You will have three chances to get this trophy later in the chapter, during the time where you have to free the souls of the Downed Sailors. Also Radula Room three (3) in the Queensland chapter has a Downed Sailor, you can also earn this trophy there as well. Thanks BreadSkin for confirming.
He moves underground and jumps up to attack, stay close but not to close. When he goes up to attack (Alice will move a little slow) hit the button to dodge, press it a few times to get away as quickly as possible. Once goes up and attacks the ground he will bounce back and be dazed, just attack a few times and then press to back away.
Minor attack is to swing with a broken glass from and stay visible for a short while, so you can use your pepper Grinder or any other weapon to attack him.
His second attack is the bombs. He holds two bombs, one in each hand and then throws it at you make sure none of them hit you or blow up next to you. You can either use the pepper Grinder and shot at one of the bombs, Preferably the one in the right hand (Alice left side) and then attack when he is dazed or just wait until he goes underground and wait for his other attack (see above).
After six to seven attacks with your blade hitting him multiple times the battle will be over and the trophy should be yours.
In Chapter 2, after completing the picture puzzle you will come across a graveyard and meet the Drowned Sailor. He acts like the Lost Souls earlier in the chapter, but is a bit stronger.
While he is burrowing in the ground, place a bomb down for him to attack. While he is resting get in close and attack him. Repeat this process until he is dead and you will unlock the achievement.
