I know this guide is old and there are no other comments but I'm going to leave one for anyone who encounters the same situation I did.

For whatever reason this achievement did NOT unlock for me even though I completed the mission. I got all the other story based achievements during my run but this one.

I haven't completed my playthrough but once I do I'll go back and re-do the mission and see if it unlocks then.

Edit 1: Completed my playthrough, was hoping completing the story would cause it to unlock as well somehow but that wasn't the case.

Edit 2: I finished the level again and the achievement unlocked after I took the private transit to the Apollo Core.

To anyone who is reading this I recommend you save at the last save point before boarding the transit car and just re-load checkpoint if the achievement doesn't unlock. It should save you having to re-do the entire level like I did.
