How to unlock the A True Engineer achievement in Alien: Isolation - Definitive Guide
In order to get this achievement you need to craft the 7 available items and you'll be able to craft these using the bits you pick up along the way during the story but you will need a blueprint for each in order to make them.

I've missed picking up the Molotov blueprint. Is it possibly to get this blueprint later on in the game or am I screwed?

I know you can get MK2 versions of the Blueprint that improve the weapon but I'm not sure if you can pick it up if you don't have the previous ones. Molotov is the last one so maybe reload the chapter its in, obviously depending on what level you are on. Understandable you wouldnt want to do that if you on say...level 12

What's the point in making a duplicate solution to the one above? Makes no sense..

I wanted to add a little more info in the description and added the video because i already had one done. I don't see the harm when people can choose between 2 guides. Just ignore the second one if you like the first one. No need to downvote if there's nothing wrong with the guide in my opinion :)

In case you miss this Achievement (yes it's easily missed) because you didn't find the Pipe Bomb schematic and don't want to replay a mission just to find it, if you have the Nostromo Edition of the game, just start a Survivor match as Dallas. He can craft Pipe Bombs. It should take less than 20 seconds into the actual Survivor match to find the necessary components to build it.
I just tested it and it WILL count toward the Achievement.

Just to set this straight. Around Mission 12 You can easily back-track (without being hunted), maybe even earlier, to fetch the pipe bomb schematic.

there's not enough parts to build a pipe bomb in that first survivor level I tried it three times and 5 minutes of skulking around and getting killed a bunch of times it definitely not a 20 second thing if it's even possible

There are 7 craftable items in total and in order to find them you need to find their respective blueprint. You should come across them if you are thorough and most are placed in areas you got past anyway. To craft an item hold and select the item you want crafted from the radial menu. Then select the materials needed with and press to craft the item. Once you have crafted all 7 items you should have the trophy.
Here is a list of all craftable items and where to find there blueprints:
- Medikit – In the 2nd mission after you crouch under an electrical wire the blueprint should be in front of you.
- Smoke bomb – In mission 3 after you get the revolver, you should come through a door that needed a keycard to open, after this there should be a room with two large tables and the blueprint on it.
- Flashbang – During mission 3 shortly after the smoke bomb blueprint you should come across a room with a corpse in a chair and the blueprint on the wall.
- Noisemaker – During mission 4 you will head up some stairs with a save station at the top, you will then see a door with a brace on it. Unlock it and the blueprint can be found in the room on a table.
- EMP mine – During mission 4 when you reach Internal Communications, you will come across a save station in a side room at the back and the blueprint should be on a table beside it.
- Pipe bomb – During mission 5 after you find Dr. Morley’s location exit the room and turn right and it will be on a table in the first room on the right.
- Molotov – During mission 6 when you are looking for a trauma kit, you will come across a room with a security desk sign outside and a save station inside. The blueprint is in this room.

For those who want to carry more. When you create a maximum of one type of product and when you select it in the inventory on the right, “no space” lights up, click doesn't matter!
