The Revolver can be obtained in Mission 3 – Encounters. Fairly sure this is story related as there is a key card you have to get in order to progress and the revolver is right next to it.
In order to get this achievement you only have to fire the revolver, it doesn't have to hit anything.

This achievement can easily been unlocked with the Crew Expendable DLC.
Choose Play Game>Survivor Mode>Yes
Choose the first level that pops up and then choose Ransome as your character.
Their default weapon is the revolver. LT to aim, then RT to fire.

During Mission 3 (Encounters) you will have an objective that requires you to pick up a key card. Once you reach the key card, the Revolver is sitting right next to it. Pick it up.
Now all you have to do is shoot the gun. You don't have to hit an enemy. Just shoot the wall and the trophy is yours. Oh and you may die from the alien since you made a sound. Just reload your most previous save and continue on as normal!
