How to unlock the Arbitrarily Exterminated achievement in Aliens Colonial Marines - Definitive Guide

After playing through the game twice, once on recruit and UBA and finishing all challenges. I loaded up the first level you get to use the SmartGun (No Hope For Hadleys) and went down into the tunnels with the SmartGun and killed and reloaded checkpoint.

I was getting 20-30 kills every few minutes and it popped after about 20-25 minutes. Remember though this is after I did everything else to minimize the kills I would need.

Might not be the fastest but worked for me

Just to clarify for anyone getting this still. after you get the smart gun the next area you encounter aliens is the area the guide means you should run out of ammo by the time you reach the end of the corridor. (Don’t forget you can still kill with other weapons when you run out of ammo for the SG)

You can also spawn 1 more alien by going in the room on the left just over half way up the corridor tunnel

there is NO way to track your progress other than counting yourself but just keep shooting it will unlock as soon as you kill the required number xeno
Reloading the checkpoint does not reset your kills to where they were before - hope this helps

Yeah, I can confirm it counts within Multiplayer. I unlocked it yesterday during a Public TDM match.

Great tip and grind spot. Out of interest, is there any way of tracking the number of xenos you've killed? +1 from me

just a note, while ths game is in the works, NEVER clear your Hard Drive Caché, it'll reset all your progress....meaning challenges/kills/ level progress...everything will need to start from scratch

This method still works (24th Oct 18) and it does count all kills, even though it says it won't save any progress. I got it after about 40 minutes +1

@Spazem

Yeah and maybe that's why there's 3 negative votes or maybe like the new Playstation4 feature, they want me to play the game for them.

On Mission 10 "Derelict Reclaimed"

After you have destroyed all the AA Guns and get to the section where you drop down and have to run from the Queen.

DON'T DROP DOWN!!!!

To the right and front of the platform is a few stacked containers.

There is an infinite Xeno Spawn here!!!!

I was able to get over 200 kills before exhausting all of the ammo on my weapons(not shotguns). Once you run out of ammo you can reload the checkpoint and run it again.

Side Note: I also farmed over 3000 XP by the time the achievement popped.

Itried this last night and it is a GREAT spot... but how did you stop the AI from getting all the kills? i had to headshot them at the top of the container because the minute they crawled down, O'neal/Hicks tagged them with the smartgun. is there a way to get them to stop or is it just 'try to shoot them first"...

sorry... meant to continue. That means I can only use my battle rifle and get 90 kills max before releoading and that is hoping i am faster than their guns... and even on recruit, they are pretty fast!

Yea you just have to beat them. I was able to use all my guns and get 250+ before reloading.

Is there a way to tell how many kills you have so far?

By Kirkless on 26 Jun 2019 12:21
if you aim the battle rifle (preferably with variable scope) at the top of the lower container you can effortlessly camp snipe the 2 xenos when they slow down to transition between the upper and lower container, racking up kills rather quickly. Dont bother using other weapons as they are rather inefficient when it comes to time to kill vs the BR, just reload checkpoint when you run out of BR ammo.

After completing the game on recruit, UBA and finishing challenges, load up mission 4 (No Hope in Hadley's). When you first get the SmartGun, start killing in the tunnels and restart checkpoint when it's cleared out. You can get about 20-30 kills every few minutes. This seems to be the fastest method so far.

This trophy is cumulative and will come over time. All kills earned both Offline and Online will count towards this total. Unfortunately there is no way to check your total kills but if you don’t have this before finishing everything else, then there is a good spot in the campaign that allows you to rack up a fairly decent number of kills in only a few minutes.

Play through the fourth chapter, No Hope in Hadley's, on Recruit difficulty up until the point where you acquire the Smart Gun. The long corridor area contains at least 30 Xenomorphs that can be killed very quickly with the auto-tracking feature of the Smart Gun. Make your way to the end of the corridor, ensuring that you kill all of the Xenomorphs, then restart the checkpoint. All of your kills will carry over and you'll be able to go through the corridor area with the Smart Gun again. Just make sure that you don't accidentally trigger the next checkpoint and you can repeat this process for as long as necessary. As a guide, I restarted the checkpoint as soon as O'Neal tried to reach the other Marines on the radio. Thanks to Shakey for testing and confirming this.

Cumulative trophy. You will receive it while you are receiving the rest of the trophies from both the story campaign and the online game, since all kills are cumulative. In a multiplayer game, kills only count when playing on the Marines' side.

It’s best to replay the moment in the Hopeless mission in Hardley’s Hope, when they give us a smartgun, go down into the tunnel, kill everyone and get blown up.

The fifth mission is at the exit from the sewer, there are a lot of enemies there.

The trophy is easy, but tedious. I would advise you to go through a company rather than online, because there they ate how you kill xenians, and in light company xenians die easily. For +2 completions.
