How to unlock the Distinguished Service Medal achievement in Aliens Colonial Marines - Definitive Guide

This cheevo will be awarded for completion of all the challenges.

There are 86 challenges in total through 3 catagories, Marine, Campaign & Multiplayer.
You can only work on 1 challenge per catagory at a time so at all times you will have 3 active challenges.
Unfortunatly the game wont allow you to complete challenges in any order you want, they have to be done in a set order.
Luckily all challenges can either be done through the main campaign or in private multiplayer matches.

Here i will list each challenge and try to describe the easiest way to complete it.
If anyone has any easier ways please feel free to comment and i will include it and give credit where required.

Please also check the comments for various other ways the awesome TA community have found to complete these challenges and if you have left a comment and i have not put it in the guide im sorry but i obviously cant add everything but your advice is still greatly appreciated

Thanks and credit to Hordesman, shredsector, Goggs25, x PAYLOAD x, scuzzybunny,Xx SpazemxX, MunknDrunky79, Meszerus for their input.

BIG thank you to "shredsector" who has given me permission to use his guides for the campaign related challenges so head over to his solution and give him a thumbs up.
Aliens: Colonial MarinesStay FrostyThe Stay Frosty achievement in Aliens: Colonial Marines worth 70 pointsComplete an entire Challenge category

Marine Challenges:

1- Field Modified: Purchase a Marine weapon upgrade
Once you level you marine to level 2, press start and select arsenal upgrades, a weapon will be highlighted so select it and spend a point to upgrade.

2- Spray N' Pray: Kill 5 enemies with hip fire
Simple enough, just kill enemies without using LT to sight up.

3- Two For One: Kill two enemies with one shot from an Underslung Grenade Launcher
You can use any rifle as long as you select the grenade launcher attachment, select mission 1 and after you rescue keys and grab the flight recorder you will go through some corridors, just before you get into the lift there will be lots of aliens grouped together. If you dont complete the challenge just restart checkpoint and try again.

4- Boom Stick: Kill 20 enemies using the Pump Shotguns primary fire
Press and hold Y, Select secondary weapon and then choose pump action shotgun. Get 20 kills. As far as i am aware using hicks shotgun does NOT count towards this.

5- Big Fucking Signal: Track 5 xenos at once on your Motion Tracker
Select mission 1, after rescuing keys and grabbing the flight recorder, just before you get in the lift there will be far more than 5 aliens chasing you, dont kill any and press LB to pull up your motion tracker.

6- Heavily Armed: Kill 7 enemies using a primary weapons alternate fire
Simple enough, on any mission use any rifle or shotgun and press RB to kill enemies, obviously using grenade launchers on the rifles is easiest way to go.

7- Kill Or Be Killed: Kill 20 enemies with any rifles primary fire
Make sure you use any of the 3 rifles and just kill enemies untill challenge complete. Mission 2 is good place to farm this cheevo, kill all enemies at the starting area and reload checkpoint.

8- Straight Shooter: Get 10 headshots using the Service Pistol
Make sure you select the service pistol and not gormans pistol. Load up any mission and get 10 head shots, aliens and humans count and it does not have to be in a row.

9- Airtime: Kill 20 enemies that are climbing on the walls or ceiling
Load up mission 1 and again just before you get into the elevator the aliens will come down the corridor, they will be all over the walls and ceiling, reload the checkpoint and repeat untill challenge complete.

10- Pop Goes The Melon: Get 10 headshots on xenos with any rifle
Load up any mission that has an abundance of aliens and simply aim for the head.

11- Short, Controlled Bursts: Do not miss an enemy with any bullets from a full rifle mag
This is a pain in the butt hole to do in campaign, the bullet registration is awful. It can be done and take your time and make sure you get a hit with each round. You will know when a hit has registered as a small red X will flash up.
Use the battle rifle as it is single shot and only has a 15 round magazine, best done in private MP match. As a marine get a friend as an alien to find you and shoot them twice, let them regenerate health and repeat.
If your fortunate enough to have the DLC plasma pulse rifle this is much easier as it has a 4 round mag, Thanks to Xx SpazemxX & scuzzybunny

When you have to survive against the queen on second to last level go into the container with the armour and ammo and she will stand outside with her head down very easy to get on that fight if you have no mp partner. You could do the pistol one here too (Submitted by MunknDrunky79)

12- Sharp Shooter: Kill 20 enemies that are 15m away or farther, using the Battle Rifle
Make sure to select the battle rifle, Load up mission 2 and when you see an enemy back away as far as you can and kill them. Reload checkpoint and repeat.
I suggest level 7 (One Bullet). Shortly after you see the first and second spotlights, and your character comments, "They sealed it up. No Xeno can get through, they're not that stupid," you enter a small room which takes you immediately back outside. This outside portion is a rather long straight stretch. Once Bella and O'Neil move into the area, Xeno's will pounce in at varying parts of the land stretch. Position yourself at the top of the stairs in the small room, back up enough so you can make a little more distance, and shoot the Xeno's from here with your battle rifle. When they stop spawning, move out of the door yourself so more spawn, then back up and repeat for another 4-6 Xeno's. Reload this checkpoint (which is super awesomely at the bottom of the stairs) to repeat. (Submitted by Meszerus)

13- Trapper: Kill 20 enemies with Battle Rifle Mines
Make sure you select battle rifle and from the aresenal upgrade select Proc-mine launcher (alternate fire). Again load up mission 2 and use RB to kill enemies, if you run out of ammo or enemies simply reload checkpoint and repeat.

14- Second To None: Kill 15 enemies with any side arm
Again mission 2, press right on the D-pad to select side arm and kill all enemies, reload checkpoint and repeat.

15- Carry A Big Stick: Kill 3 enemies with a primary weapons alternate fire without dying
Follow same as 13 - Trapper and this is easily done.

16- Back On Your Feet: Revive 5 other players in Coop Campaign or Versus Matches
This will either come naturally through MP or coop but if you wanna get it done easily, grab a 2nd controller, sign in a guest profile and load up any mission on badass difficulty. Have player 2 stand still while P1 shoots and downs P2, now stand next to the downed friendly and hit X to revive, Repeat 4 more times and challenge complete. (1st time should net you a cheevo if you aint already got it)

17- Equal Opportunity: Kill 20 enemies using the Combat Pistol
On any mission, Press and hold Y, select combat pistol and kill 20 enemies.

18- Set Em Up, Knock Em Down: Kill 10 enemies with Claymores, Mine Launcher Mines or Acid Traps
Follow same as 13 - Trapper and this is easily done.

19- Spread The Love: Kill 2 enemies within 10 seconds using the SMG
Load up mission 2, Select the SMG as a primary weapon and kill the 1st 2 enemies that come through the door.

20- Xenophobia: Kill 10 Soldier, 10 Lurker or 10 Spitter xenos
Mission 1, After rescuing keyes just kill aliens until challenge complete, You only need 10 of 1type, Not 10 of each.

21- Blown To Hell: Kill 20 enemies using the Assault Rifles Grenade Launcher
Select the assault rifle with grenade launcher attachment. Mission 2, kill all enemies with RB when you run out of enemies or ammo reload checkpoint and repeat

22- Make It Count: Shoot enemies with an entire clip using the Service Pistol without missing or reloading
Can be done in campaign but again easier if you follow 11- Short, Controlled Bursts. I did this on mission 2, press LT and make sure every shot hits the target, ALOT easier that 11- Short, Controlled Bursts though

23- Down But Not Out: Kill an enemy while incapacitated
Grab a 2nd controller and sign in a guest, load up mission 2 and run to the 1st 2 enemies that come through the door, allow them to down you and then while you are down use the pistol to kill one of them.

24- Amateur Surgeon: Decapitate a xenomorph
I did this as i rescue keyes, i had pump action shotgun, when i got to keyes i can see the alien in the wall, i shot it and it jumped down at me, when it was on the floor it was crouched down showing me only it's head so i fired and BOOM head shot and decapitation.
Im sure this is also possible using the battle rifle and getting head shots

25- Flash Fire: Kill 2 enemies with fire damage within 10 seconds
Load up mission 1, equip the fire bombs as your tactical. When you get to the corridor just before the lift you will be attacked by multiple aliens so throw you fire bomb and carnage ensues, challenge complete.

26- Judge, Jury And Executioner: Execute 20 enemies using the Pulse Rifles primary fire
Same area as 25, Simply equip your pulse rifle and kill as many enemies as you can, reload or die and repeat untill challenge is complete.

27- Shotty Workmanship: Kill 20 enemies using the Tactical Shotguns primary fire
Same area as 25, Equip the tactical shotgun, possibly upgrade the magazine for fast reloads if you want and kill all the aliens, reload checkpoint and repeat until challenge complete.

28- Keep Up The Fire: Kill 6 enemies in under 60 seconds using the SMG
Same area as 25, Equip the SMG and upgrade the magazine size if you want to, as soon as you hit the corridor this is when you should start using the SMG, there are way more than 6 aliens to get the challenge and the 60secs is plenty of time.

29- Reflex Action: Kill 5 xenomorphs that are inside a vent using the Pump Shotgun
Mission 1, after you retrieve the flight recorder equip your shotgun, The next couple of aliens will come out of windows and vents and if your quick enough to kill them it will count towards this challenge. When you get to the corridor just before the lift an alien will come from the ceiling, kill it quickly and reload checkpoint and repeat untill complete.

30- The Silent Killer: Kill 5 enemies using a suppressor on the Battle Rifle
Same area as 25. Equip the battle rifle and upgrade it to equip it with a silence and kill enemies untill challenge is complete.

31- Amputation: Remove 20 limbs from xenos using the Tactical Shotgun
Same area as 25, I found the easiest way is to stun the alien with RB and then aim for a leg or arm, does not always work, continue on killing aliens and trying to aim for legs and arms, if you get to the lift, run out of ammo or die simply reload checkpoint and repeat untill challenge is complete.

32- Stand Your Ground: Make the killing shot on a crusher using the Service Pistol
This is hard and will take multiple tries. Load up Mission 9 until after you defend the cargo bay with the sentry turret and the ammo cache. Afterwards you will encounter the huge crusher, which has a ton of health. The frustrating thing about this will be that O'neal will be firing his Smart Gun so actually getting the last hit is hard. You can try to glitch him by jumping on the incline to the left but that takes a long time to get his health down. I used extended mags on the pulse rifle and unloaded a full 300 bullets on him then started shooting at him with the Service Pistol. He will die soon, just hope that it's by your bullet. It helps to have to regular fire rate and not the increase damage that slows the rate of fire down. (Submitted by shredsector)

This is much easier in a private match, TDM, Last hope map, Find the APC in the centre of the map, the crusher spawn points are at either end of the corridor with the apc, the spawn points look like alien hive sections.
You can spawn the crusher twice per round once around 3:00min mark and 2nd around the 1:00min remaining mark.
Have a friend spawn the crusher and make sure you get the kill shot with the service pistol.
If your friend does not damage you and you dont already have the cheevo you should recieve the anytime, anywhere cheevo.
Aliens: Colonial MarinesAnytime, AnywhereThe Anytime, Anywhere achievement in Aliens: Colonial Marines worth 37 pointsKill a Crusher without it damaging you

33- Combined Arms: Use the Combat Pistol to kill 10 enemies that were on fire
Easiest to use your Assault Rifle flame thrower to just light up any xeno and switch to your Combat Pistol. They do not have to be ON fire as they die, only at one point. Using extended mags and full auto for the pistol help but are not necessary. (Submitted by shredsector)

Combined arms you can also use firebomb grenades & firebomb launcher on the pulse rifle i did this on mission 2 in fact i done challenges 33 to 37 on mission 2 right at the start of the level. (Submitted by Goggs25)

34- Feel The Burn: Kill 20 enemies using firebombs
Load up mission 3, Press and hold Y and left on the left stick, now select U4 firebombs. Now kill as many enemies as you can untill either they all dead or you run out of ammo and reload checkpoint until challenge is complete.

35- Assault With Intent: Kill 20 enemies using the Assault Rifles primary fire
Load up any mission, press and hold Y and up on left stick, select the assault riffle and just play until you get 20 kills, i believe it can also be done in multiplayer.

36- Light Em Up: Kill 20 enemies using the Assault Rifles Underslung Flamethrower
Same as 35 but this time press pause and go into your asenal upgrades, assault rifle and select the flame thrower as the attachment and get 20 kills, misson 3 is good place to do this as you can abuse the reload checkpoint.

37- Shock Trooper: Kill 20 enemies that were stunned using the Tactical Shotguns Arc Rounds
Same as campaign 6 Double tap, but this time you must kill 20 enemies, Ensure you have arc rounds as a secondary attachment through the arsenal upgrades and press RB to stun an enemy and then RT to kill them.

Campaign Challenges:

1- Solid Legs: Complete a campaign mission on any difficulty
-Easy enough. Just like it says.

2- Splattered: Gib 5 enemies in a single campaign mission
-Use your secondary fire grenade launchers and splatter some xenos. The default ones on the Pulse Rifle and Pump Shotgun work great.

3- Better Than Harsh Language: Kill 5 enemies with melee in a single campaign mission
-Melee 5 enemies to death until you get this.

4- Nice Groupings: Kill 2 enemies with a single shot from the Pump Shotgun
-When you've got 2 enemies close to each other and pretty much right in front of you, kill them both with one shot. Might require some luck.

5- Tactical Supremacy: Kill 6 enemies with Tactical weapons in a campaign mission
-This was very confusing when I did it as I thought it meant the tactical shotgun but what it refers to are your firebombs, grenades, and claymores. Hold Y and push your left stick to the left to equip different ones and get 6 kills in one mission. Use left on the D-Pad to bring them out and RT to throw/place.

6- Double Tap: Kill 2 enemies that are stunned in a campaign mission
-Use the Tactical Shotguns secondary fire to stun and then finish them off.

7- Bug Hunter: Kill 5 facehuggers
-These are the annoying little scorpion-like things that jump on your face. They appear as early as Mission 2 but there are also a ton at the start of the second to last mission after you pick up the flamethrower.

8 -Sawbones: Remove a total of 20 limbs from xenomorphs
-This can take time if you're just firing at their center of mass. It's best to just aim for their legs and you will get this eventually. Rifles and shotguns are both fine.

9- Iron Fist: Kill 10 enemies with melee in a single campaign mission without dying
-This can be tricky if there are human enemies around firing at you and also with your partners shooting everything. It's best done on recruit on the first mission after rescuing Keyes. Keyes will cut open a door and you will be on your way to retrieve a Flight Rec. There are some easy xenos here to melee and just reload the checkpoint until you have 10, as long as you don't die.

10- Superior Firepower: Kill 2 enemies with the Smart Gun, Flamethrower or RPG in a campaign mission
-Smart gun is in Mission 4 but the fastest way to get this is the start of the second to last mission. Just run to the door and cut it open. You'll find a flamethrower soon on your left and keep going past the cocooned scientists to start burning away. Also the area with a lot of facehuggers.

Beginning of mission 3 just before the 1st set of enemies is a armory door that has a flame thrower too. (Submitted by Devious jedi)

11-Inside Out: Kill 5 enemies with explosives in a campaign mission
-These can be with grenades or launchers. Just blow up 5.

12- Battle Hardened: Complete a campaign mission on Hardened or higher difficulty

13- Ultimate Badass: Complete a campaign mission on Ultimate Badass
-For the last 2 challenges just play the last level as it's easy and relatively quick.

Multiplayer Challenges:
All of these challenges can be boosted in private matches

1- Mutation: Purchase a Xeno combat upgrade
You must play a MP game or 2 in order to get your alien up to rank 2. Now from main menu select VERSUS - EDIT LOADOUT - XENO LOADOUT. Now spend your point upgrading anything that has become unlocked, i did the secondary attack "whirlwhind" on the soldier xeno.

2- Eggstermination: Win an Extermination mode match,
From main menu select VERSUS - EXTERMINATION and win the match. might take you a few tries but keep at it. You do not have to be top of the leaderboard, just be on the winning team.

3- Survivalist: Win a Survivor mode match
From main menu select VERSUS - SURVIVOR and win the match, may take a few games but keep at it.You do not have to be top of the leaderboard, just be on the winning team.

4- Escape Artist: Win an Escape mode match
From main menu select VERSUS - ESCAPE and win the match, may take a few tries but keep at it. You do not have to be top of the leaderboard, just be on the winning team.

For this you can set up a private match and start it with just your self in the lobby. As marine run to all the markers on your way to escape, then once the next round starts just sit there as the alien untill the 15 min timer runs down (Submitted by x PAYLOAD x)

5- Victorious: Kill 25 enemies in Team Death Match
From main menu select VERSUS - TEAM DEATHMATCH, Just get 25 kills overall, does NOT have to be in 1 game so this will come with time. Marine and alien kills both count.

6- Raking Claws: As a Soldier Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Quick Strike
As a soldier alien kill enemies with RT primary attack, make sure it is quick strike and that you have not upgrade the primary attack or if you have just reselect quick strike as your primary attack.

7- Spit In Your Eye: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Acid Spit
As xeno spitter class kill enemies using RT primary attack. ensure that you havnt upgraded the primary attack or just reselect the spit attack.

8- Cat-Like Reflexes: As a Lurker Xeno, pounce on three enemies in less than 10 seconds
Easiest done in private match, Select the lurker alien when you spawn, Get 3 buddies as marines to line up in front of you with roughly 4-5 meter gap between them. Now press RT to perform a pounce, you should jump on the marine and hit him once or twice, quickly do the same to the 2nd marine and then the 3rd and challenge should complete

Equip the speed pounce (RB) in your Lurker's loadout and you can use this 3 times on the SAME enemy. I did it in a public match to the same guy (after the initial pounce, I took a step back and waited for him to get back to his feet and pounced on him again, repeated and got the challenge on the third pounce) but from the previous solutions it should work in a private match as well. (Submitted by Hordesman)

9- Heads Up: As a Xeno, kill an enemy from the wall or ceiling
As a soldier class press and hold LT to climb on a wall or ceiling and then press RT to perform a primary attack, should be some kind of tail whip, if you kill the marines the challenge completes

You can get this as the Spitter using the Primary "spit" attack (RT). Find a wall or ceiling (I did this from a wall) overlooking the enemy and climb up it using LT. While still holding LT, Spit on an enemy twice using RT.. Netted it in a public match but should work in a private one (Submitted by Hordesman)

10- Sentry Duty: Destroy 5 Sentry turrets
This can be done in survivor mode (condemned) and much easier done in a private match. You must be the aliens, allow the marines to set up the sentry gun preferably facing a wall and let the alien destroy it, now its quicker to kill the marines and end the match. This can be done over multiple matches.
Its would also be preferable to do this as 1 vs 1 and both be on same challenge as you can take it in turns.

11- Two Birds: Kill two enemies with one shotgun blast
Now when my boosting group tryed this it seems a little glitchy, we found that if you get 2/3 aliens close together, equip hicks shot gun and quickly blast all 3 aliens, preferably 1 blast to each head and the challenge appears to accept this. None of the peeps i played with got 2 kills with 1 shot but all completed the challenge following this method.

Also you can get a double kill, upgrade your pump action, get 2 xenos to spawn as lurker xenos, shoot both in the head 3 times with a pistol and then pull out your pump action stand back a little and aim just between their heads and blast away.

12- Scout: Track 50 Xenos on the Motion Tracker
As a marine in any versus game type, press LB to bring up your motion tracker. After you have tracked 50 xenos the challenge will be done, this can be done over multiple matches and will come in time.
The 50 does not have to be 50 diffrent xenos, i did this on the same xeno and the challenge counts the blips, just keep the xeno moving so the distance changes and you will prob get this in one match

13- Blunt Force: As a Soldier Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Heavy Strike
After you rank up your xeno class a bit, spend a point and upgrade the soldiers primary attack to heavy strike and then kill 10 enemies in any gametype, can also be done over multiple matches.

14- Hawked It All Up: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 2 enemies at once with a single fully charged Spit attack
Easiest done in a private match, select the spitter class xeno and get 2/3 marines to crouch down together in a corner, now press and hold RT untill your spit attack is fully charged and unleash it, you should kill atleast 2 if not all 3 marines and complete the challenge.
If you struggle to get the double kill try to reduce the marines health with 2/3 melee strikes then use the spit attack.

15- Ricochet: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Acid Rebound
This requires your alien to be rank 16, Spend an unlock point and equip your xeno spitter with acid rebound primary attack and kill 10 enemies.

16- Kill Em While They're Down: As a Lurker Xeno, kill an enemy after knocking them down with Speed Pounce
This requires your alien to be rank 14, spend an unlock point and equip the speed pounce as secondary attack for your xeno lurker. Approach a marine and press RB to speed pounce and while they are down attack with RT and kill them.

17- Fire In The Hole: As a Marine, kill 25 Xenos using the Smart Gun, Flamethrower or RPG
On any map/gamemode as a marine find and equip any of the above weapons and get 25 kills, kills are accumalitive so feel free to get them over several games. Also i belive that the kills can be a mix of any of the 3 weapons, can anyone confirm this?

18- Berserker: As a Soldier Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Flurry
Rank up your alien sufficiently to unlock the flurry primary attack, equip it to your xeno soldier and get 10 kills.

19- Stepped In It: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 5 enemies with Acid Trap
Rank up your alien sufficiently to unlock the acid trap primary attack, equip it to your xeno spitter and get 5 kills, either lay the traps 2-3 together on the ground near objectives or just hit the enemies with them untill they die. These acid traps are similar to marine mines.

20- Shock And Awe: As a Lurker Xeno, hit 2 enemies with a single Shockwave Pounce attack
Easiest done in a private match. Rank up your alien sufficiently to unlock the shockwave secondary attack and equip it to your xeno lurker. Now get 2/3 friends as marines to stand close together, press RB to pounce on them with the shockwave, if you hit 2 together and preferably them 2 die the challenge is
complete.

21- Hard Boiled: As a Marine, kill 5 Xeno Boilers during a multiplayer match

TDM Origin has 2 boiler spawn points and if boosted you should be able to get 2-3 boilers per round, spawn points are one on white building in center of map, the building has a "2" on it. 2nd spawn point is on some red shipping crates. Get your bud in a private match and when available spawn the boiler and kill him, try to get as many as you can in the round and in the next round do the same for your bud.
The 5 kill are accumalitive so they despite the description they DO NOT have to be done in 1 match.

For Uncrushable and Hard Boiled...
They spawn on all maps I believe both for TDM and Extermination. These challenges should be boosted. The main boosting map is The Hive so I will just describe the locations for them here.

At about the 4:00 remaining mark there is a boiler spawn husk at the very top level (from the center pit keep going up and look around the catwalks.) It will not always spawn but sometimes it will be there. There might be a second husk somewhere but after playing through many times to get through this achievement I have yet to find one.

At around the 3:00 remaining mark there will probably be a crusher spawn in one of two locations. The crusher spawns are the large growths on the walls and will sort of glow yellow. Pressing X will activate it. Both spawns are on the bottom floor, one sort of near the pit and another on the other side. Once you figure it out they will be there. These spawn locations do not change, however the appearance probability at each location will.

There seems to always be 2 upgrades per round (whether crusher or boiler) so keep that in mind. A new one will not spawn unless there is 1:00 in between. It seems that if you do get let's say a crusher in the first round, it will not be possible to get it from the same spot in the second because the hole in the wall is still there, so I would advise to restart your games after one round(Submitted by shredsector)

22- Extended Reach: As a Lurker Xeno, kill 5 enemies using Lunging Strike
Rank up your alien suffieciently enough to unlock the lunging strike attack and equip it to your lurker xeno. Now kill 5 enemies using the lunging strike attack.

23- Liquefy: Kill 8 enemies with acid damage
Any acid kill count towards this challenge but the easiest way to do this is to equip the rupture mutation and suicide the enemy, when they kill you, you will explode and kill the marines with acid.
Also if you do a private match and your the only alien with 2-3 marines, get them all to stand very close to you and kill you and your acid explosion should kill all marines and complete the challenge in 1 round.

24- Mercy Killer: Use the Combat Pistol to kill 5 enemies that were covered in fire
You will want the following loadout, Assault Rifle with the flamethrower upgrade and the combat pistol (Hight rate of fire upgrade helps). You just need to use the Flamethrower on someone and quickly press right on the D-Pad to change to the Combat Pistol and finish them. You need to be the one who sets him/she on fire as it does not count if your team mate had done it. Submitted by x PAYLOAD x)

Can be boosted 1 Vs 1 in private

25- Left A Mark: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Acid Strike
Rank up your alien sufficiently to unlock the acid strike attack and equip it to your xeno spitter, now use the secondary attack to kill 10 enemies.

26- Trap Sprung: As a Marine, kill 25 Xenos using Claymore mines
As a marine equip claymores to your tactical slot and in any gamemode try to set them up near corners or on objectives, get 25kills over multiple matches to complete the challege.
The fastest way to do this is in a full lobby private match, get the alien team to all stand together, set the claymore up in front of them and BOOM, plenty of kills, repeat until challenge is complete.
There is also a great idea in the comments section by "Your skill died" on how to get this in 1v1 in 2 matches. If anyone else can confirm his idea works well I will add it to this guide.

27- Flurry Finish: As a Lurker Xeno, kill an enemy with Flurry after a Speed Pounce
Equip flurry and speed pounce to your xeno lurkers primary and seconday attacks. Now find a marine and speed pounce onto them which should knock them to the floor, now finish them with a flurry attack.

28- Sliced And Diced: As a Soldier Xeno, kill 2 enemies with a single Whirlwind attack
Easiest done in private match. Equip the whirlwind attack to your xeno soldier seconday attack. Get 2 marines and melee them twice to reduce their health, now get them to stand close together and use whirlwind to kill both marines.

29- Uncrushable: As a Marine, kill 5 Xeno Crushers during a multiplayer match
This is much easier in a private match, TDM, Last hope map, Find the APC in the centre of the map, the crusher spawn points are at either end of the corridor with the apc, the spawn points look like alien hive sections.
You can spawn the crusher twice per round once around 3:00min mark and 2nd around the 1:00min remaining mark.
Have a friend spawn the crusher and make sure you get the kill shot with the service pistol. Working in a 1vs1 this should only take 2 matches to complete.
The 5 kill are accumalitive so they despite the description they DO NOT have to be done in 1 match.

30- Acid Bath: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 10 enemies with Rupture Mutation
Rank up your alien sufficiently to unlock the Rupture mutation and equip it to your spitter xeno. Now run up to the enemy and when they kill you, you will explode and if your acid blood should kill the enemy, repeat 9 more times.

31- Free Hugs: As a Lurker Xeno, kill 20 enemies using the Pounce attack
Spawn as the lurker xeno and press RB to pounce on an enemy, you should jump on them and hit them a few times causing them to die, repeat 19 more times.

32- Easy Prey: As a Soldier Xeno, kill an enemy after stunning them with Bludgeon
Rank up your alien sufficiently to unlock the Bludgeon attack, find an enemy an bludgeon them which should knock them to the ground, now attack and kill them.

33- From The Shadows: As a Lurker Xeno, kill 5 enemies without taking any damage
Spawn as a lurker xeno and get 5 kills without taking any damage, this means trying to sneak up on a marine and kill them without being shot, easier done in a private match, i believe these can be done over multiple matches.

34- Alpha: As a Xenomorph, kill 5 Marines without dying
Not as easy as the marine one but still possible in public match, try to get the crusher and kill as many as you can, easier to do in a private match.

35- Ace: As a Marine, kill 5 Xenos without dying
Simple enough, get 5 kills in a row without dying, easily done in public matches, utilise the grenade launcher, shot gun for close range, even easier if boosted in a private match.

36- Hard To Kill: Completed an Escape Match without being incapacitated
You can use the same guide as challenge 4 for challenge 36 - Hard To Kill: Completed an Escape Match without being incapacitated. Just tried challenge 4 solution on Challenge 36 and i can confirm it works :)(Submitted by x PAYLOAD x)

8- Cat-Like Reflexes: As a Lurker Xeno, pounce on three enemies in less than 10 seconds

9- Heads Up: As a Xeno, kill an enemy from the wall or ceiling
You can get this as the Spitter using the Primary "spit" attack (RT). Find a wall or ceiling (I did this from a wall) overlooking the enemy and climb up it using LT. While still holding LT, Spit on an enemy twice using RT.. Netted it in a public match but should work in a private one

4- Escape Artist: Win an Escape mode match. For this you can set up a private match and start it with just your self in the lobby. As marine run to all the markers on your way to escape, then once the next round starts just sit there as the alien untill the 15 min timer runs down.

11- Short, Controlled Bursts: Do not miss an enemy with any bullets from a full rifle mag

For this you suggested using the battle rifle because it has 15 bullets. But it is sooooo much easier if you use the plasma pulse rifle as it has 4 bullets, also you can just use this on boss monsters that can't be killed so you wont miss any shots.

DNC i have updated that challenge with a little more info for you.
Xx SpazemxX i have not actually completed the campaign yet so i not sure where the plasma pulse rifle is, is is upgraded in arsenal upgrades or found in one of the levels. Can you give a little more detail and i will stick it in the guide and give you the credit.

Pounce does work in private btw...and for 32 much easier and fool...proof in origin in tdm. Once the crusher spawns have him stand still while you bloody it, then finish of with the pistol. No ai or random bad luck to ruin it.

For the crusher, it actually spawns every round, about two minutes in (3 remaining)...about the same time as the smart rifle and rpg. Once you see the big guns on the map, it should be ready.

24- Mercy Killer: Use the Combat Pistol to kill 5 enemies that were covered in fire.

Can be boosted 1 Vs 1 in private

One last note...while the category for the #4 challenges is mp, you can actually do them in the campaign (unless specified as multiplayer...haven't tried one of those in campaign). I did the 11&12 on mission 4. After you get/drop the smart gun(can't use motion tracker with the smart gun) super easy to track fifty, especially since it counts them over again if you push the LB repeatedly rather than holding it down. Got it in maybe 30 seconds in the tunnel.

Just a quickie a somethings I found worked for the unloading a full pistol without missing . I done this on chapter 2 recruit level three body shots kill a bad guy . Also for short controlled bursts . When you have to survive against the queen on second to last level go into the container with the armour and ammo and she will stand outside with her head down very easy to get on that fight if you have no mp partner. You could do the pistol one here too .

32- Stand Your Ground;
There is a textile glitch that I found and tested on the APC in Mission 9 for the Crusher. You can get him stuck on the back of the APC where he won't move or attack, and if positioned just right won't be attacked by the NPCs. Be sure to kill the 6 or so Xenos in the area before dragging him around the APC in a counter-clockwise motion. Stick close to the APC and stay far enough ahead of him to be on the opposite side of the APC when he is at the back. It may take a few tries but you should eventually get him to move out and stop just far enough out to shoot him in the tail/right hind leg between his right front leg/head. Some shots will still go wide and miss or deflect from his armor, but this way you can use only your Service Pistol. Feel free to test for yourself and edit the tip as needed.

12 - Sharp Shooter;

With the bullet challenge on the crusher make sure you unload an entire clip on the crusher back, alot of people are finding that that it does not seem to count if you hit the head, but again try this in private MP match its a lot easier. Again i know it sounds silly but just souble check you are useing the normal service pistol (try with no upgrades) and not one of the legendary guns like gormans/vasquez pistol as they dont seem to count..

Cat like reflexes is much easier in private match and if you have speed pounce you can pounce on the same guy 3 times which makes it much easier.

17- Fire In The Hole: As a Marine, kill 25 Xenos using the Smart Gun, Flamethrower or RPG

I can confirm you can get this with a mix of the three weapons. I got this over a series of matches and checked my total was updating as I used each weapon. I mainly used the RPG and Smart Gun but got the final kill with the Flamethrower.

5 - Tactical Supremacy;
Try level 2 (Battle for Sulaco), as human enemies drop grenades and firebombs most often, and human enemy movement is more predictable to use tactical weapons on.

11 - Short, Controlled Bursts;
Level 10 (Derelict Reclaimed) is best for this if you don't have the Plasma Rifle DLC. Equip your battle rifle and shoot the Queen when she is trying to swipe at you. Aim for her large head which isn't easy to miss. The Queen appears in Level 11 too, but any bullets you fire at her will not be registered.

It seems that if you do get let's say a crusher in the first round, it will not be possible to get it from the same spot in the second because the hole in the wall is still there, so I would advise to restart your games after one round.

For Marine Challenge 9, the one for killing enemies while they are on the ceiling, its worth noting that you cannot get this on the second level, 'Battle for Sulaco'. There are no Xenomorphs in this level, save the few Facehuggers.

I just recently did the cat-like reflexes in the public TDM, the 2 hardest parts of it is that most of the time you get killed before even touching the pounce button, and a couple times I would've got it but other ppl on my team came over swinging and killing them, so it was extremely a by chance moment.

I'm actually having a hard time with the "make it count" challenge, cause I've shot people and am beyond certain that I didn't miss, I even went and tried it on the crusher since it's a big target and hard to miss, but it wouldn't complete the challenge even doing that, the worst thing is being forced to do them in order, cause I kept letting the bullets go to see if it'd work and by chance the bullet that killed it was from my pistol on the first try, (and yes I'm using the service pistol).

I'll go and make sure to unload a clip into her back, or I'll get my buddy to stand there and let my shoot him 12 times, and ya it's hard doing cat-like reflexes in public matches, you can do it if you want a challenge, but most of the time people are sticking together as a squad.

For Marine mission 20, an optional method of killing ten Xenos would be going into 'One Bullet'. Thirty seconds in, a bunch of Xenos come over the wall which you can kill and restart checkpoint to farm off of.

I got past the "Make it count" challenge, however the crusher turns around too fast and picks up on you too quick to get a real good shot of getting one shot, I even tried with a friend for him to distract her but still failed, I had to resort to letting me shoot him 12 times to do it.

Would like to recommend Kanji Shinu's suggestion from the above comments. The textile glitch worked perfectly for me, cheers! The Crusher gets stuck around the back of the APC, out of vision of the NPCs. I unloaded my unlimited ammo into its sides and legs, and it eventually fell, rather quickly on easiest difficulty.

Ya, I did the same, I went on the level with the crusher and decided to go over to the ACP for cover from the crusher while I killed the Xenos, after a while the Xenos stop coming, and the crusher just stopped infront of the ACP and the NPC's were at the gate you enter through so I just shot her till she died, even if you shoot it in the face it will eventually die. But I suggest taking out Xenos first, as they will annoy you and kill you eventually. I didn't test it but if you leave the cover of the ACP the crusher might follow you.

Hey Goggs25 im sorry to hear you had a stat reset, this is a known problem and its happened to a few people, i dont believe this cheevo is the cause of the reset. There are a few forum posts if you havent seen them and some people have identified some of the issue lies in when people boot the game up and then sign in.
However I think it would be worth you putting this warning into the forum page (located on the A:CM page) to ensure peeps dont clear the system cache.
Thanks for the heads up.

Regarding Goggs25 problem with Multiplayer Challenge 35. The 5 kills don't count/you can't progress if you're using a character from the films/pre-order characters. You have to select the male/female marine for your progress to be counted.

If you have a better solution feel free to comment and i will add it to the guide and credit you.
In future you may wanna think how you phrase your comments, the people who have contributed to this guide have put a lot of hard work and effort into finding these methods and to call their work "Dumb" is unacceptable, Next time try re-phrasing it something like "K ur iron fist guide is not working very well for me, are there any better places to do it"
Thanks

Okay, so i think i figured out the challenge 35 ACE, I was boosting this today with a friend we both needed the challenge, but wasnt working for some reason. we did this 2 times in a row. Then i started to think why is this not working something must be wrong here not right. I Noticed that we both were playing as DLC MARINES FROM THE COLLECTORS EDTION. DO NOT PLAY AS DLC MARINES, HUSDON, HICK, SGT APONE, DRAKE FOR THIS CHALLENGE. we went back and changed to a custom marine apperance . tried again and it works! first kill your bar will and should go up... I can comfirm this. thank you and hope it helps!

Figured this out when playing coop with a friend. When doing the melee campaign challenges, switch to your grenades to punch aliens on Mission 1 after getting Keyes. Stay in the room where Keyes cuts the door and tells you to shoot anything that moves. The aliens will down Keyes and come into the room. If playing with another player, have them kill or keep the other alien's attention as they usually come in pairs. Using the grenade to melee, you won't execute the xenos with your pistol. Letting the come into the room prevents Keyes from killing them while you are trying to melee them.

11- Two Birds: Kill two enemies with one shotgun blast.

This can be done in co-op campaign.

I just unlocked it with my buddy on Mission 05 - The Raven. The area I was at was when you must defend the white chick while she worked on the tactical communications right after rescuing her. There's so many Xenomorphs attacking the AI and you/coop partner, I inadvertently used your listed method for boosting, but wasn't actually trying for it.

Multiplayer challenge 28- Sliced And Diced: As a Soldier Xeno, kill 2 enemies with a single Whirlwind attack

You can get this with two players & a turret. Set up a private survivor match. Equip your soldier xeno with the whirlwind secondary attack. Have the marine set up the turret in a corner facing a wall & stand away from the turret. Have the soldier xeno do one whirlwind attack (RB) on the marine without the turret, the have the marine stand next to the turret and have the xeno unleash 3-4 whirlwind attacks on the turret & the marine. You'll switch roles for the next round & you can return the the favor.

If you have the right set up on your alien, quick pounce I think then you only need 2 people as you can quick pounce on the same marine 3 times without killing them and it still completes the challenge.

For the 09 Challenge "Iron Fist" for Campaign I found easiest to do it this way rather than the first mission.
Also the tatical shotgun with shock will freeze them so they don't shoot at you.

Foolproof way to do Campaign Challenge 9, Iron Fist: Melee 10 enemies in a level without dying.

Just done this, works perfectly. Load Mission 2 on Recruit. Use your Tactical Shotgun secondary fire to stun the two troops running into the room. Melee them twice each to kill them. Reload the checkpoint. Do this until the challenge is completed.

Very, very little chance of even getting hurt, let alone dying.

PLEASE OH PLEASE add this as a note to the claymore challenge, doing this my friend and I got it in 2 rounds (20 kills per round we averaged testing this after), load up last hope, the person who's the alien (this is 1v1 btw) choose a spitter while you have rupture equiped, then head over to the raised side of the APC (it slopes downwards) and head right (opposite side of where the boiler would be) into the big open room with another APC, the marine faces the doorway you came through, put the claymore down and back off (not to far) and have the spitter run into the centre of the claymore (this is important, running into the claymore gets the kill but it takes 2-3 claymores to kill stationary aliens, spitters are also more vunerable to this) then as the spitter dies, have the marine run into the rupture to kill himself, netting the alien 60 points a death. The marine will normally spawn in that room from now on, maybe somewhere else once or twice a match though. You'll be able to meet up at the exact same spot 20 or so time give or take a match. Just thought this would help because this can be a soul-crushing challenge if done improperly.

Thanks for the information and the great guide! The 3 challenges I was concerned about was M11 Two Birds, M14 Hawked It All Up and M20 Shock and Awe. If I understand people's comments then M11 can be done in campaign while M14 and M20 can be 1v1 but with a need for a turret?

For the 09 Challenge "Iron Fist" for Campaign I found easiest to do it this way rather than the first mission. Also the tactical shotgun with shock will freeze them so they don't shoot at you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axrAb4lG3Tc

Foolproof way to do Campaign Challenge 9, Iron Fist: Melee 10 enemies in a level without dying.

Just done this, works perfectly. Load Mission 2 on Recruit. Use your Tactical Shotgun secondary fire to stun the two troops running into the room. Melee them twice each to kill them. Reload the checkpoint. Do this until the challenge is completed. Very, very little chance of even getting hurt, let alone dying.

Oh wow, I never even thought about doing this. I got through all the campaign challenges last night and stopped at this one on Level 2 because it was frustrating me. Now I know how to do it. Thanks!

And the guide says that you can reload the checkpoint as long as you don't die and the melees will accumulate. Is that really true?

EDIT - I guess they do. According to the video posted above, they do! Sweet!

EDIT 2 - But... has this been patched...? I'll test it tonight and report back.

Great guide Devious.

For the melee kill challenges load up chapter 2 run to the 1st door and there will be 2 soldiers, melee kill them both reload checkpoint. Much much easier than trying xenomorphs

Thank you for the appreciation, I'm not worried about the down votes as unfortunately they are usually just trolls who downvote for the sake of it and don't have the balls to give a legit reason for negative votes.
But it does make it all worth it when I get a little positive feed back so thank you and enjoy the game.

I just wanted to add that I used the very start of the 2nd mission A LOT for completing challenges.
It takes almost no time to reach the 1st 2 enemies and works great for all the non-Xeno challenges.

I used Derelict Reclaimed to do the Battle Rifle challenges. The part where you appoach the large slope that goes down and there are a large group of humans fighting aliens is a great spot to reload over and over for the Battle Rifle long distance kills followed immediately by the proxy mine kills.

Also, I dont think that I read it, but you can do the match-specific ones for multiplayer SOLO in private. You dont even need a partner, but I think you need a partner on the opposing team to get the very last MP challenge.

Honestly, the hardest ones to do are the ones that require multi-kills.

14- Hawked It All Up: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 2 enemies at once with a single fully charged Spit attack

For this one, I found that it was best to aim at the ground just between their feet in a private match. This is after making sure they only have 1 health bar after hitting them with quick strike.

As a side note, when trying to get the 5 crusher kills, if you have a fulla upgraded Pulse Rifle with increased Fire Rate and the Extended Mag, the crusher dies if you shoot every bullet into its buttocks. It seems to die exactly on the last bullet, but I could be over-killing with like 1-2 bullets tops.
So if you keep that in mind for getting the service pistol kill, its a great way to get its Health low enough so you dont spend 5 minutes shooting it over and over with the pistol

I'm looking for a boosting partner for any of these challenges. I have given up trying to do Hawked it all up legit and I need someone to stand by a turret or another person for me. PM me if you're interested smile

Apologies if this has already been mentioned. For the melee kills chapter 2 is ideal but incapacitating the goons with the arc rounds (tactical shotgun) makes this pain-free and reduces the risk further. Great guide man!

Just thought i'd other people know that the DLC weapons you can purchase count towards these as well, those S.E. Ballbreakers will also work for the Double Tap challenge(They are grenades that emit an electric shock) and the SHARP Rifle and Plasma Pulse Rifle also work for the Short Controlled Bursts challenge, the latter makes it very easy as the clip only holds four rounds and it's very easy to hit the enemies with all of them, just hold down the button to charge your shot and release when you see an enemy in sight and they will be vaporized.

According to Xbox Achievements apparently you don't actually need two other people to get certain MP challenges done(I.E. the Whirlwind and Spit ones)you can also get those done with another player and a turret, just knock the other player down to low health and hit the turret until it starts sparking, then get the other player to stand close to the turret and hit them both with a spit attack/whirlwind/shockwave attack and that should take care of those MP challenges, very useful if you have a hard time finding more then one other person to do this with.

5 - Tactical Supremacy;
Try level 2 (Battle for Sulaco), as human enemies drop grenades and firebombs most often, and human enemy movement is more predictable to use tactical weapons on.

11 - Short, Controlled Bursts;

By WilowBlackWidow on 17 Feb 2013 07:36
With the bullet challenge on the crusher make sure you unload an entire clip on the crusher back, alot of people are finding that that it does not seem to count if you hit the head, but again try this in private MP match its a lot easier. Again i know it sounds silly but just souble check you are useing the normal service pistol (try with no upgrades) and not one of the legendary guns like gormans/vasquez pistol as they dont seem to count..

Cat like reflexes is much easier in private match and if you have speed pounce you can pounce on the same guy 3 times which makes it much easier.

By Devious Jedi on 17 Feb 2013 12:25

And doing so u get hit by the alien, and one of there hits takes half your health lol there has to be a better mission to do this on.

I didnt write that section of the guide but i followed that advice and it worked easy enough for me.
If you have a better solution feel free to comment and i will add it to the guide and credit you.
In future you may wanna think how you phrase your comments, the people who have contributed to this guide have put a lot of hard work and effort into finding these methods and to call their work "Dumb" is unacceptable, Next time try re-phrasing it something like "K ur iron fist guide is not working very well for me, are there any better places to do it"
Thanks

17- Fire In The Hole: As a Marine, kill 25 Xenos using the Smart Gun, Flamethrower or RPG

I can confirm you can get this with a mix of the three weapons. I got this over a series of matches and checked my total was updating as I used each weapon. I mainly used the RPG and Smart Gun but got the final kill with the Flamethrower.

"8- Cat-Like Reflexes: As a Lurker Xeno, pounce on three enemies in less than 10 seconds
Easiest done in private match, Select the lurker alien when you spawn, Get 3 buddies as marines to line up in front of you..."

Am I able to do this with 4 people (1vs3) or do I need 6 people (3 on each team to start)?

If you have the right set up on your alien, quick pounce I think then you only need 2 people as you can quick pounce on the same marine 3 times without killing them and it still completes the challenge.

For the 09 Challenge "Iron Fist" for Campaign I found easiest to do it this way rather than the first mission.
Also the tatical shotgun with shock will freeze them so they don't shoot at you.

Set up gaming session,
join any current session already set up by others,
rent 2nd copy, (requires 2nd xbox too)
get friend to buy and help you,
message people on boost request list,
message people on recently won list

how many people max are needed to boost all of the multiplayer challenges? I am seeing a couple of challenges requiring you to kill 2 people within a short period of time so would a session with 1v2 in a private match cover everything on the multiplayer challenge list? or 2v2?

Everything is possible in 1v1 but 4 players would be ideal. Read through the comments for some great advice on how to get all the challenges done in 1v1

For the melee kill challenges load up chapter 2 run to the 1st door and there will be 2 soldiers, melee kill them both reload checkpoint. Much much easier than trying xenomorphs

Apologies if this has already been mentioned. For the melee kills chapter 2 is ideal but incapacitating the goons with the arc rounds (tactical shotgun) makes this pain-free and reduces the risk further. Great guide man!

8- Cat-Like Reflexes: As a Lurker Xeno, pounce on three enemies in less than 10 seconds

12 - Sharp Shooter;

32- Stand Your Ground;

I got past the "Make it count" challenge, however the crusher turns around too fast and picks up on you too quick to get a real good shot of getting one shot, I even tried with a friend for him to distract her but still failed, I had to resort to letting me shoot him 12 times to do it.

By WilowBlackWidow on 18 Feb 2013 08:30
Would like to recommend Kanji Shinu's suggestion from the above comments. The textile glitch worked perfectly for me, cheers! The Crusher gets stuck around the back of the APC, out of vision of the NPCs. I unloaded my unlimited ammo into its sides and legs, and it eventually fell, rather quickly on easiest difficulty.

This is an add-on solution to Devious Jedi's. I talked with him and he wasn't able to edit his in a good format any longer, so I am creating this to supplement his.

This covers alternatives to multiplayer challenge boosting, and only requires 1v1 for all of these. Due to this game having nearly nobody playing it anymore 1v1 is certainly easier to get than 1v2 by all means. This was done on 6/16/17 and 6/17/17, so no patches or game changes will affect these methods.

11- Two Birds: Kill two enemies with one shotgun blast
Load up the second campaign mission.
Have one partner use the tactical shotgun with stun rounds as the alt fire, and the other booster use a pump shotgun.
The booster with the tactical shotgun will stun the enemies as they enter the door, and the pump shotgun booster will line them up and shoot. If you shoot quickly enough 2 head shots will count.
This may take a little practice.

14- Hawked It All Up: As a Spitter Xeno, kill 2 enemies at once with a single fully charged Spit attack
Survival on Condemned.
The Xeno will have quick strikes as their RB attack.
The marine will set up a auto turret by the wall (facing the wall) and then move away from the turret.
The Xeno will strike the turret 7 times with a quick strike, and then move over to the marine and damage them till they are almost dead.
Then the marine will move over to stand directly next to the turret, and then crouch.
The Xeno will then spit a fully charged attack at the marine. The splash damage will destroy the turret and kill the marine in the same shot.

17- Fire In The Hole: As a Marine, kill 25 Xenos using the Smart Gun, Flamethrower or RPG
This can be done in the campaign.

20- Shock And Awe: As a Lurker Xeno, hit 2 enemies with a single Shockwave Pounce attack
Same setup as 14. No need to damage either the Marine or turret. Just use the Shockwave pounce once the Marine is standing directly next to the turret.

28- Sliced And Diced: As a Soldier Xeno, kill 2 enemies with a single Whirlwind attack
Exact same setup as 14. Follow the directions all the way through, but instead use Whirlwind to kill both turret and marine at the same time.
Additional note: You should hit the turret 7 times with the quick strike + 1 time Whirlwind move before you laid the final Whirlwind. Otherwise only the marine will die. Just 7 quick strikes not enough for that config.

Challenges become available in sections that need to be completed in order to unlock more. Each category will have 1 active challenge, giving you 3 challenges that are available at a time. There are a total of 86 challenges that grant 500 XP for each one completed towards your marine's rank. Please note that Legendary Weapons may not count towards some challenges. For example, Hick's shotgun is a "pump shotgun", but as for the challenges that say "pump shotgun" (Boom Stick challenge) using Hick's weapon won't count. This is undoubtedly the most difficult trophy in the game and will be the deciding factor in whether or not you earn the Platinum trophy. The Challenges are split into three categories – Online/Offline, Offline Only and Online only. The majority of challenges included in these categories are relevant to their section; however there are a few which can be completed outside of the "recommended" area. For example, there are a handful of challenges in the "Online Only" section that are actually easier to complete Offline.

There are a total of 86 challenges in the game, all of which must be completed in order to unlock this trophy. Please refer to the Challenges Guide Thread that I have posted for more information.

While there is no normal test guide, I want to share my little experience. For the most part, test descriptions correspond to the actions required to pass them. But there are several tests that need to be described.

1) Kill two stunned people in one episode. Tactical shotgun, an alternative weapon with an electric charge.
2) Kill 5 boilers in one multiplayer game.
3) Kill 5 thugs in one online game.
4) Kill 5 xenomorphs as a Marine without dying.
Every Boiler and Bruiser counts, even if you don't kill 5 in one game. The penultimate token is “kill 5 Xenos with a Marine without dying” if you have a collectible and you play a character like Hicks and others, the count will not count. To count, you need a regular game Marine.
[B]5) Playing as a lurker, attack 3 opponents with a swoop in no more than 10 seconds.[/B ]Managed to do it in a team battle. I chose a quick attack. Found a lone Marine, jumped on him, then when he stood up, jumped again, then again. Apparently a psychological factor played a role: after the first attack, when the enemy stood up, he did not shoot, apparently he was used to the fact that after a attack he dies. In general, the test is not that difficult.
6) Kill an enemy by jumping on him from a wall or ceiling. Killed with a blow from his tail while on the ceiling. You can also spit someone from the ceiling with spit.
7) Kill an enemy while incapacitated. In survival mode, I installed a turret, after I was killed, or rather after the inscription “Marine is out of action,” the turret killed the enemy.
8) Destroy 5 turrets. I managed to spit on 5 turrets in survival mode.
9) Kill 5 enemies hiding in the ventilation. I did it in campaign mode, level 1, when a partner opens the door and throws a grenade at the starship. You immediately run behind the barricade and wait for the first wave of xenomorphs. The first xenomorph should come out of the ventilation in the floor, to the left of the starship, kill him with a grenade launcher (to be sure) at the moment when he comes out and restart before passing the test. But it happens that the first xen appears from somewhere above, then you just need to restart.

PS. 99% of Marine challenges are done both online and in campaign mode.

You can also destroy turrets in the campaign. Mission 10 where you need to destroy anti-aircraft guns. They count too.

In the 14,20,28 tests for xenos, a third person is not needed. Double kills are done with the turret. Weaken the turret, the character, one player stands next to the turret, the second xeno attacks with the required blow, the test is passed.

The challenges are really quite easy, but there are a couple of them that will make you angry. To make it easier to complete tasks, I can recommend this guide , in English.

Kill 5 Xenos in the mines. It’s written correctly, but in fact it turns out that you need to kill the one who got out of the ventilation. Thus, we kill the first one to the left of the ship, run to the right side on the wall, a hatch will open and 3 more things will come out from there, it doesn’t matter if you killed them at the mine or they have already jumped off and they count. Checked personally.

A way to play via LAN, all online modes, unlock challenges and gain experience as an Alien.
Internet is not needed. Everything is done offline.

This is how I passed the tests: Win in the “Extermination” / “Rescue” / “Survival” mode.
Startup instructions:
  • Main menu : select Confrontation .
  • We choose (for example) Extermination .
  • Click Extra options.
  • Select Network mode : set to Local network .
  • Select Join : set to Create new .
  • Presses Back.
  • Click Create game .
  • Buttons And choose a team: Marine or Alien.
  • Click Start game .
You will be taken to a Local game. You will be absolutely alone in it. You will go through two matches in total. Playing as an Alien is just a matter of putting down the gamepad and waiting for the match time to end. You can run around and complete match missions as a Marine. For example, I leveled up the Alien and the Marine in the “Extermination” mode. The Alien just stands and waits and gets +300 XP at the end of the match. As a Marine, you need to run around and destroy clutches of xenomorph eggs. Can get above +1,000 XP in 5 minutes.
