How to unlock the No Offense achievement in Aliens Colonial Marines - Definitive Guide

You can actually get this off what I think is the first alien you encounter. In the first mission when you go to cut down Keyes an alien attacks you and you fend it off by tapping X. If you are alone that is, usually in co-op someone else would've killed it already. So play Solo Recruit to make it easier. Just keep fending the alien off with X until you get the timing right. It seems to have a pattern of attack where it will just run at you attacking a few times before it tries to pounce. Keep your eyes and ears open because it looks like it's getting ready to pounce and hisses as it pounces. So after the initial quicktime event keep on your toes and use melee even to fend off it's regular attacks, just hitting once and backing up a bit to stop its attack. It may take a few tries but it's easy to get those few tries easily.

This is how I got it as well. I actually got it when you go to cut down Keyes and the alien first jumps out of the wall.

I made a video showing exactly what a lurker looks like when it pounces at you in case some of the guides were unclear. So hopefully the video helps you! I got my achievement on The Raven Mission.

This one depends a little on your luck.

I found it highly unlikely to get on a normal walkthrough, so it's best, if you really grind for it. It can be done on every level. I got it on "Fall of the Sulaco". After you short-circuited the doof of the controll-room, there is a section where you get attacked by two groups of three Xenos. Just wait till one of the Xenos comes charging at you and start your melee-Attack. If it's not working, just reload the checkpoint and retry. I got it on the third run...

I just want to point out, and for all I know it is probably a glitch, but I managed to obtain this achievement on mission two when you encounter the facehuggers for the first time. I just hit a facehugger when I was trying to go the challenge for meleeing 5 enemies, and instead I got this. I dont know if it will work for someone else but if you dont have this achievement, try slapping a facehugger.

The easiest way to get this is to play mission 1 on recruit difficulty.

Play up until you get to the cargo bay and the mission is to get to the control room. As soon as you enter the room, an alien will come up from the floor and pounce at you.

It will pounce at you every time. The checkpoint is literally through the door so if you fail then you can just try again

This is one of the harder trophies to obtain Offline. A Lurker is the Xenomorph that jumps at you and pins you to the ground whilst slashing at you. When you encounter one, try to keep your distance and learn how to interpret its movements. You can tell when a Lurker is about to pounce as it will be crawling on all four legs and will bow down before striking. You will have a very small time in which to react and melee it with the button. To perform this correctly, you need to physically hit it mid-pounce so that the animation stops and the Lurker gets knocked back. This will take a bit of practice and trial and error to get right. A good place to try for this is the Derelict Reclaimed level. There's a spot early on in the chapter where a Lurker will ambush you. Thanks to Terminator for providing the location.

If you're struggling however, there is a much easier way to earn this trophy Online. You can set up a Private game with two people and boost this trophy if you wish. To make it easier, have the Xenomorph player choose the Enraged Pounce ability, as this is considerably slower than a regular pounce and allows a greater window of reaction time for the human player to execute their melee.

Another achievement that is easily boosted in a private 1 vs. 1 Team Deathmatch. Have your friend spawn as a Lurker and meet at a open area (preferably a long hallway). This is about timing. The further away the Lurker is, the easier to react. Melee the lurker before it hits you with a pounce. The player controling the Lurker holds down  and will see a trajectory of where they will pounce. Aim this at the person trying for the achievement and release when they're ready. May take a couple of tries. There's a few campaign locations for these, but perhaps the best is mission 4, at the very end. Before the final door is unlocked, you must kill 3 lurkers that spawn one at a time. Restart checkpoint if you can't get the timing for this achievement down before the 3rd one is killed.

The trophy is very easy to get, when we meet a lurker for the first time, we just stand there waiting for him, if you see him running, get ready. When he starts jumping, hit him with the button if he didn’t jump, but started scratching, then stand there stupidly and start again, or turn on Last CT through the menu.

Lurker is a standard (ordinary) alien. He is first encountered in the very first stage, when you free the Marine.

You can try your luck in the fifth chapter before the fight with the Pritorian; in the complex you will be attacked by lurkers (there are three or four of them there). Or in Chapter 4 when you first pick up a smartgun. After the fight with the xenians, when diving deeper, there will again be about 3 lurkers there. We stand somewhere in the doorway and try to knock out the trophy.
