How to unlock the High Voltage achievement in Aliens: Fireteam Elite - Definitive Guide

Easy solution: Load up the very last level (The Only Way to Be Sure: Regicide) as a Technician. Make sure your kit ability includes Charged Coils. I would also suggest upgrading your perks to allow faster ability recharge and more damage if you can.

Play on casual and private (unless your party won't shoot the eggs). Again, make sure you select the Technician.

This last level (Regicide) features plenty of facehugger eggs. Throw a coil grenade at a group of eggs and back away. The goal is to avoid having Alpha or Beta hit an egg with fire or one of their own grenades. Simply lead them away from the spot and kill the facehuggers crawling towards you. Now notice that the eggs will continue to be electrified. In a few moments they will all explode--this is the fastest way to move the achievement progress. Simply take your time and rinse and repeat.

I was able to move from 67% to 87% progress in one succeful mission completion. The achievement then popped next mission replay mid-level for me.

***The Phalanx electric ground slam (Shock Pulse) will count.

***The ammunition consumable (Electroshock Rounds) will count (death by electricity & not the bullet).

***Consumable Electroshock Sentry Guns and Electroshock Popup Mines DO NOT count.

Electroshock popup mines can count for sure. I couldnt get the technician to work so I loaded up level 3 of chapter three on intense, killed my ai teammates, and used mines during the first engagement with the little exploding pathogen. If you can run around and geouo them up you can use just a couple of mines to knock out a LOT. Took five minutesish per run and usually got 6 to 7% per run.

Tracker for this hasn’t gone up for days of playing. Possibly bugged still.

100% the electroshock mines work. I used them on horde to great effect. Bring 15 with you, you can take out as many as 5 aliens at once on the chokepoints

I was getting no progress for this playing mission 3-3 as the Technician with anything that deals shock damage so decided to switch to 1-1 as the Gunner and the shock rounds on the Pulse Rifle started working. I then went back to 3-3 as the Gunner and shock rounds continued to work with the Pulse Rifle. Very strange but got there in the end.

Hi guys!
This achievement is pretty easy now;
Just go Demo, take shock bullets and electric turrets or static field, load mission 3-3 on the easiest difficulty, you can get like 300+ electric kills if you only focus on using the special ammo on the pathogens, finish the mission and repeat.

Happy hunting! 🦝

The static field does not seem to work. I just tested it.
The bullets 100% work and are the best.
Just wish you could take more than 3 clips with you.

Took some testing, the Turrets do work, but suck. I put 2 down in front of a Pathogen swarm, got 1% increase.

the mines work. Same swarm, like 2 or 3%. But its wasteful. If you have a ton of them, use them. But don't go buying them with credits.

I just got to 75% without having to buy anything, but now out of everything elec so need to buy some elec bullets.

OP seems right, Demo with a smart gun is a good idea on 3-3. There are two pathogen swarms fairly early. Takes about 5 mins, pulse your shots to save ammo. I am getting 10% per run. Leaving mission, repeat. Solo, on casual.

In the latest patches, the method of obtaining the trophy has been fixed. Now consumables of the following types are counted: electroshock ammunition (clips), hardened electroshock turret and electroshock frog mine . Previously, this trophy could only be obtained using the method described below (I leave it just in case):

At the moment, the easiest way to get this trophy is with the Charged Coils skill of the Technician class (set). To optimize the process, it is advisable to upgrade the technique to at least the third rank so that you can insert modifiers into the grid for the duration, radius and recovery speed of this skill.
Actually, the farming of kills is done on eggs in the last task - The only way out. Kill the queen (there are most of them there). It's better to do this solo with bots on the easiest difficulty. Please note that you need to kill with electricity not the facehuggers that crawl out of the eggs, but the eggs themselves (they count towards the kills). It is necessary for the eggs to burst from the discharges of the charged coils .
Video guide (en) for clarity.
In one go you can farm about +- 150 eggs. It is not necessary to complete the mission to the end, so you can farm as convenient as possible, and your progress is saved.

PS In the PS5 version of the game, the completion percentage is indicated correctly if you are the host (this is for those who decide to invite friends to replace bots)

We take any class that uses heavy weapons. We take a smartgun + electric cartridges.
Easy difficulty level and a mission with a lot of pathogens (headcrabs). We load electric cartridges into the smartgun and kill one enemy with one shot.
For three packs, approximately 400-500 electric cartridges will fit into a smartgun.
You need to kill 1000 enemies - 2-3 passes and the trophy is yours

I found one bug with which you can endlessly farm eggs with reels and make a trophy in one go. In mission 4-2 in the middle of the game there will be a place where you go out into the room, there will be a couple of steps down and there is also a box with cartridges and a lot of eggs, and there is also a drone that pops out. From this moment onwards until the very end of the chapter there will be a lot of eggs along the way, you can smash them, go through the next door, smash the eggs there too, go back and in the previous room again all the eggs will be in place, as if you passed by, but did not carry them around. Then go forward again and there again all the eggs will be whole. This can be repeated ad infinitum.

We take any class that uses heavy weapons. Take Smartgun L56A3 (weapon) + electric cartridges (consumables).
Easy difficulty level and mission Gift of Fire. On board. where there are a lot of pathogens (headcrabs)
We load electric cartridges into the smartgun and kill one enemy with one shot. We shoot while aiming so as not to miss.
For three packs, the smartgun will fit 375 (125+125+125) electric cartridges.
If you activate the "Ammo Storage" card before the mission
Then in just three packs a smartgun will fit 750 (250+250+250) electric cartridges.
You need to kill 1000 enemies - 2-3 passes and the trophy is yours.

I’ll add, or more precisely, make an adjustment, that when playing as a Phalanx and using Shock Pulse , nothing will count toward the trophy; only deaths from electricity count from Coils when playing as a Technician. Personally completed the Phalanx with “Shock Impulse” level The only way out. Kill the queen and after viewing the progress, the percentage did not move one iota, but when trying to pass as a Technician with “Coils”, the percentage of progress began to increase.
Shock Pulse deals periodic damage to the enemy, which is not electrical damage, while Coils deal damage specifically from electricity.
