How to unlock the Rising Star achievement in Alpha Protocol - Definitive Guide

For this achievement, you need to proceed to the end of the game (Operation Full Circle) and start the mission in which you infilitrate Alpha Protocol. Now, if you haven't made Leland angry, he will give you an offer to join with him. Just keep the conversation professional up until this point throughout the game. Then, choose to join him.

Now, for the mission. You will have to find Mina (who is in the doors to the left of those you go through to get to your handler) and do what you see fit with her, kill her or don't. Once you've beaten the final boss (who should be Westridge), choose the option that is NOT "Betray". You should unlock the achievement.

You actually don't need to kill Mina, and you CAN betray him at the end. Weird but true.

You should still edit your solution. As OldChili360 said you CAN betray him and get the achievement. Forgetting to check up on Mina also works btw. So you can just ignore her like I did.

Weird the description says "Reconcile with Alpha Protocol and stop Halbech". On the Achievement screen, it states "You joined Halbech and put an end to Alpha Protocol", which makes a little more sense.

I joined Leland, saved Mina and betray him at the end. cheevo pops up.

This achievement will take a bit of planning, and is a somewhat of a pain to get.

Throughout the game, the game will bring you back to the present time, during which you will be talking to Henry Leland about your actions. During these conversations, you need to get Leland to like you. Stick with mainly Professional responses, and when given the chance, try to Bluff him via the Suave stance. Stay away from sarcastic or mocking responses, as otherwise you will not be able to get this ending.

When you finally come to the final mission itself, if Leland likes you enough, he will give you the option of joining Halbech. When you finish off the final boss, you will be talking to Leland near your boat. No matter if you stay loyal or betray him, the achievement will unlock by the end of your conversation with him.

On the "Infiltrate Alpha Protocol" mission, accept Leland's offer of employment. You will receive the trophy for this ending regardless of your response to Shaheed, or whether or not you betray Leland at the end. Credit to Usul for additional information.
