How to unlock the Mountain Mastery achievement in Alto's Adventure - Definitive Guide
This achievement unlocks after completing the 60th and final level. Once you complete level 50 you'll unlock Tupa, who you should be playing as for the rest of the missions (and the rest of the time you're playing this game). Brief guides and hints for levels 51-60 are below.
Level 51
- Fall into one chasm as Tupa: as easy as it sounds
- Land a 13x combo: you should have a fully upgraded wingsuit at this point, and with Tupa you can do double backflips very often, so this is just a matter of waiting for grind opportunities to line up
- Escape 5 elders in one run: the 5th elder shows up around the 20,000m mark
Level 52
- Double backflip to grind to backflip: very easy now that you can double jump with Tupa and flip fast too
- Wingsuit to rock bounce: you've likely done this a bunch during previous challenges so just wait for the timing to line up
- Land 75 backflips in one run: another very easy one with Tupa
Level 53
- Jump across 15 chasms in one run: depending on what chasms you get, you'll likely need to travel 15 - 20,000m to get this many chasms
- Smash 3 rocks in 10 seconds: with Tupa you can backflip off pretty much every hill, so just keep doing them and purposely smash through every rock you see
- Collect 10 super coins in one run: another very easy one, just collect all the coin magnets you can and stay near the ground
Level 54
- Wingsuit for 1500m in one run: having the wingsuit fully upgraded makes this easy. Just keep using it to tie combos together
- Score 10,000 points in the first 3000m: this will require lucky grinds showing up early or lots of double and triple backflip opportunities. You'll want to earn your wingsuit as fast as possible so you can start doing big combos
- Rip 500 bunting flags in one run: with Tupa you can double jump onto every grind you see so this is an easy one
Level 55
- Double backflip to wingsuit to grind: another very easy one with Tupa. Double jump to allow enough time to double backflip, then wingsuit and wait for a grind to appear
- Slide on 15 ice patches in one run: stick near the ground and depending on your luck you'll likely need to travel pretty far to get this many ice patches
- Pick up a coin magnet 4 times in one run: very easy since these show up every few hundred meters
Level 56
- Roof grind between 2 bunting grinds: this one is all about waiting for the right setup. You need to do roof grind, bunting grind, roof grind all in one combo. Keep your wingsuit ready and every time you do a bunting grind hope that you'll get grinds in this order
- Land a 14x combo: same as the 13x combo
- Smash 3 rocks with one boost: once you make it past the 15,000m mark you'll find plenty of groups of rocks to do this
Level 57
- Triple backflip off a grind: another one that requires the right setup to appear. You need a grind with a massive dropoff after it. Make sure to double jump off the grind and hope for the best
- Wingsuit in between 3 separate grinds: another easy one once you get the right setup
- Survive for 2 days straight: this will be a 15 minute run so I'd take the first 10,000m or so slow to kill time. After that you'll want to flip often to avoid rocks and wingsuit as much as possible to stay off the ground
Level 58
- Escape 6 elders in one run: the 6th elder shows up around 25,000m. See below
- Travel 30,000m in one run: you'll want to have a fully upgraded wingsuit. Earn the wingsuit and save it. Backflip constantly. Use your wingsuit only in emergencies, such as accidentally jumping and landing in a chasm, quick activate your wingsuit and fly out of it
- Land 3 triple backflips in one run: this one is tough but doable. Just double jump off anything that seems high enough, and if you aren't going to be able to finish that third flip, quick activate your wingsuit so you don't crash
Level 59
- Grind to rock bounce to backflip: another one that is all about luck and timing. You can try to activate your wingsuit after the grind and look for a rock to make it easier
- Rock bounce to backflip 3 times in one run: this is another one that's all about luck and timing. Just try to bounce off of every rock you see with your wingsuit
- Land a 15x combo: same as 13x combo earlier
Level 60
- Catch 3 llamas in an unbroken wingsuit flight: you'll have to proximity wingsuit to catch the llamas so it'll be tricky getting no rocks to interfere with this. Ready your wingsuit, grab a llama horn, activate your wingsuit and hope for the best
- Land a 15,000 point combo: see below
- Score 250,000 trick points in one run: this is the final challenge and definitely the hardest one by far. This will take a serious amount of concentration and some luck that you don't accidentally jump and land in a chasm. Stay aware of elders during chases so you aren't too distracted by doing tricks. You absolutely need to have a fully upgraded wingsuit for this. Tie together tricks as often and long as you can. Every time you find a grind, use the whole thing, backflip off it, wingsuit to more loops or backflips and hope more grinds come into view. String together as many combos as you can but just as important is not getting too reckless. Don't try for triple backflips because you don't want to blow a whole run on that one time you got greedy. Stay calm and focused and with a bunch of attempts and some good grind setups you'll be able to achieve this
My highest score for a single combo is somewhere around 35,000 points but it all comes down to getting good setups with grinds to give your wingsuit a break.
