Unfortunately, I did not 100% obtain this during questing in the post game. This was my second to last achievement (Last was secret arena). But if someone needs an easy way to finish it, you can do the rubber band trick while walking on an arrow tile. This way you can walk away and you will just keep moving forward then back, over and over.

The last achievement for me as well, just popped the 25k footsteps right before the true ending boss fight

Last achievement for me too, got the 25k one during the post-game quests. Was at a little under 35k after completing everything and grinding to lvl99 (with the mantle). Anyplace that has the tiles without random enemy encounters so I can rubberband this?

Oddly, unlike the other Kemco game where the step achievements come naturally well before the end of the game, I had 10k steps left to do after I unlocked all the other achievements and had to walk back and forth in a town for the rest. It didn't take long (about 30 minutes), but it was a bit odd that this didn't come along the way like usual.

Self-explanatory.  This will likely come naturally during your playthrough if you're exploring the world, or you may need to farm it after you've finished everything else you need to do in the game.  If you do need to farm it, do it in a safe and enemy-free location, like a town, or hop on the dragon Maraug and fly around the map.  You can track how many steps you've taken - it's one of the trophy prize tasks in the pause menu.
