I found 10 and the achievement popped. So it seems like paintings count double. Got all 6 from the first area and then 4 more in the 2nd area.

Not my work but helpful as the one I was missing was in a shed and not the house and you can be sure you are searching the correct house and the exact room.

This is glitched, but I suppose in a good way? I gotten the achievement after getting and selling all the paintings on the first 2 islands. Don't know why that happened but least it saves some time.

The map is missing one hidden stash. There are 33 on the left island. The missing stash is at the end of the train rails ( north east).

Advice: if you find a painting, try to immediately sell it to an art buyer because... Only the sold painting counts towards the trophy. And if you have a painting in your inventory and you die, explode in a car, or accidentally run over a train or something else, then you will have to, so to speak, repeat the escape attempt and the Painting, like everything else, will disappear from your inventory and return to that place where you found it, you will have to remember where you got it and go after it again.

I didn’t use the guide, I just went through the game and sometimes ran into the nearest houses, as a result, the statistics showed 21/20 pictures.

At the moment of death before respawning, I pressed PS and exited the game. As a result, things remained on me, and some paintings were restored in place. By the end of the first episode I had 14/20 paintings, by the end of the second episode 29/20 paintings.
