How to unlock the Benefactor achievement in Amnesia: Collection - Definitive Guide
This is for one of the endings. It's a little more complicated than the others as you need a few more items which are located earlier in the game, so technically this is missable if you do not acquire certain items earlier on. Alternatively you can finish the game and load a save in the Nave when you first enter it to start this process again easily. You can start acquiring the items once you enter the Nave for the first time. You need the following:
- Jar of Blood (Acquired in Transept, accessed via the Nave). You need the Jar which you will already have and a string which can be found in the Transept which is in the room up the staircase. Use String + Jar, then dip the jar in the blood drain on the cell on the right also in the Transept.
- Poison Gland (Found in the Choir Main Hall, just outside one of the cells on the far end of the level, use your hammer to open the mushroom)
- Remains - You first need a piece of meat which is obtained in the Nave on level 2 in the prison area. Take the meat into the hall connecting the Nave and Transept and put the meat on the crank. Winch it down then back up again to obtain Remains.
- Bonesaw - This can't be obtained until after you are captured in the Chancel and return to the Nave a second time. A new room will now be open to the left of Agrippa, You will need to cut off Agrippa's head with the bonesaw once you have created the Tonic (see below).
You can't actually make the tonic until you first have all the items listed above the bonesaw and then return to the nave a second time after being captured. Once you return and acquire the bonesaw, head up the stairs next to Agrippa and you'll see a lab with various apparatus. In here you need to use all the items you obtained above on the equipment to make and acquire the tonic. Once you have the tonic, use it on Agrippa then use the bonesaw with his head. Now continue through the game as normal.
Once in the Orb Chamber, where you confront Alexander, put Agrippa's head in the portal when it opens.

If you still missed the moment when you can pull the lever (characteristic signs: there is no saw in the right place, you can’t draw blood and yes, Agrippa’s head has already been sawed off), as was the case with me, apparently you didn’t press the lever, then so as not to replay the whole the game can be exited to the menu and through loading the autosave we load the Altar save, which is before the Cameras. After loading, we return back to Agrippa, pull the lever and continue along the plot. You will have to replay one location, but this is not the same as replaying the entire game.
