These are not to be confused with the flashback memories that have their own tab in your journal. These are Cylinders that you collect in the game and will be listed as a "note" in the respective rooms you collected them in. They will look like this:

Though do keep in mind that a handful are toppled over and/or on dark shelves, so they might be hard to see without the glowing bits being visible. There are 17 in total you need to collect. The breakdown of the Chapters they're found in are as follows:

• The Cistern: 1
• The Alchemist's Chambers: 4
• The Chamber of Pillars: 1
• The Hunting Grounds: 2
• The Laboratory: 7
• The Lower Factory: 1
• The Tower: 1

You must get all 17 in one run. Your progress/collectibles do not carry over onto a new game, so if you miss one, you'll need to start over to get this trophy. Before you start over, though, be sure to check the "load" list on the main menu as this game is very fruitful when it comes to autosave points and there's a chance you'll have one going back to where you need.
 
The last Recorded Memory is in the final chapter of the game, so once you pick that up, the trophy will unlock.
