I used 25 rhinos for this level and didn't build any other kind of amoeba.
After the cut scene where you're told to save the stingrays, head north or up as far as you can go. Don't head into the undergrowth just yet.
Save your game!
You can use this save point to work towards the other level 7 achievement and can load it up again if you mess this one up.
The chaos amoeba is coming for your amoebas as soon as you head through the undergrowth. There are a seemingly huge number of cysts to fight through and if you try without help, some will eventually hatch and slow your progress to the exit.
Luckily, you have the poison probe, and if you've remembered to use the gather probe on the 4 points, you'll have plenty of energy to drop poison probes on the cysts. I attack moved towards the cysts and dropped a poison probe to the rear of the cluster. This cuts through them like a hot knife through warm butter. Repeat until you reach the exit.
