Walking up to the head of any dangerous animal will trigger the QTE (quick time event) to either dodge or attack.
Have a sharpened stick ready if you want to kill/injure it after 2 dodges.
Dodge too many times and dopamine levels will send you running.
Bring 2 adults males, each with a baby on back, when away from the settlement. If one gets hurt, the other can save him and the infant.
Fun game. Get into it.

Find yourself a cat (yellow, black or white)
Wait for him to attack you and dodge twice.
So far so good.
For you to dodge correctly, you have to press X when its asked for but realize it only when the sound clue happens. If you have a weapon equiped, remember to move the left stick out of the way to dodge and not attack. Easier if you are alone and runing straigth at him after the dodge to enter again an attack animation.
Remember that a white cat will always spawn when you change your setlement (until you kill it) so you can practice there.
