The best way to do this is to find an easy hat you haven't found yet, find it, then quit out via dashboard. As long as you don't finish the level the hat will still be collectable again and you will gain progress also.

This is an easy way for new players if you want to get this out of the way quick. In level two you will unlock a hat as you are going through the level. It is in a red clear container once you hit the hat pause the game.

Then you will click go down to the game and quit. You can see the achievement process go up. Then just replay and follow the steps above.

You can complete this 20 times to get all three hat achievements out of the way early.

THIS GUIDE IS AN EASY SOLUTION AFTER THE ONLINE SUPPORT WAS PULLED.

So as you're probably aware, you need to disconnect from the internet to even start this game now. This doesn't make the dashboarding and killing the game method of getting 20 hats easier, even with the hat right at the beginning of Level 11. Here's what I did.

MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS (EXCEPT HAT ACHIEVEMENTS) BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT THIS.

Once you're actually in your game, and earned all the other achievements, follow this path.

1. Hit
2. Hit Main Menu
2a. Hit to Accept ToS (you may not need to do this your first time)
3. Hit
4. Move Cursor up to Account Info and hit
5. Hit to reset progress
6. Hit twice to confirm
7. Hit again
8. Move cursor to Start Hub and hit
9. Select "Adventure" and play the first level of Boulogner Forest, "El Legendo Begins"
10. Collect the BANANA HAT and immediately press
11. Check your achievement process. If the counter has moved up showing you had collected a new hat go back into the game and IMMEDIATELY repeat step #1.

You do not need to leave the game to Dashboard or kill the app at all and go through the laborious process of disconnecting your Ethernet cord to get past the title screen. The first level is very easy, and it only takes about a minute to get to the hat. After you get into the flow of doing this a few times, you'll get through 20 hats VERY quickly (depending on how many you need) with as little fuss as this often glitchy game can get.

This is only an alternative solution in case your game doesn't respawn the hat (even if you didn't complete the level and you just started the game (not much progress). Do not use this method if you are still progressing through the story or story related achievements.

When I attempted the reload method after getting the first had then going back to the menu, it still counted the hat as being retrieved. Since I only needed story-related achievements left and didn't start them yet, I used this method which worked pretty well.

What I ended up doing was hitting the select button on the game's menu hub and then scrolling up to my name. If you click on it, you have the option of hitting to erase your game's progress.

I then launched the first mission and the first hat (banana hat) was at it's location. I retrieved that hat and immediate went back to the game's main menu hub, hit select and repeated until I got all 20.
