How to unlock the EGG WELL achievement in ANIMAL WELL - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 64 secret eggs to find in the game, and you will assuredly find many yourself just from natural exploration and curiousity as you progress through each area. There are many eggs that not only require the five main items you need to beat the game (bubble wand, slinky, yo-yo, disc, and lantern), but also some extra items too. On top of that, you get rewards from finding set numbers of secret eggs, and those reward items are needed to find more eggs. You can check your overall egg count at any time by pressing . Your total amount of eggs is tallied on the left. To see specifically which eggs you have, you need to go to the egg display room. This room is easy to find - from the central room with the animal statues, head left one screen, up the ladder at the top, then left one screen. This room has a huge peacock displaying all your eggs on shelves. Unfortunately, they aren't labeled or anything, so you can't tell the names of the eggs you're missing, just where on the shelves you're missing.
Speaking of the shelves, if you're interested in tracking down the eggs yourself without a guide, one additional hint is that the eggs' locations on the shelves roughly correspond to where on the map they are located. Missing an egg on the right side of the top shelf? Then you should probably explore the upper right corner of the map. This can help you narrow down your search.
Now, there are also more items, as mentioned above, that you will need to collect beyond the story ones in order to be able to reach/access all eggs. Here's a quick list of what items you'll need to collect, beyond the five story ones:
There is one more item not on that list, and it's the UV Wand. It is obtained with the E Medal, and I again cover that in the FAQ. This item isn't used to directly get any eggs, but it is helpful for figuring out which rooms still have eggs. Of course, if you want to use the guide below, then the UV Wand won't be necessary. If you're finding eggs yourself, it's very helpful for narrowing down where to look.
For a list of all secret eggs and where to find them, there are lots of guides already out there. Personally, I preferred THIS LINK over at techraptor because it's the only one I saw that actually took the egg layout in the egg room and related it to where each specific egg is on the map, and it's organized by area so you aren't backtracking all over the place. What I did was took a screenshot of my egg room and just kept it handy to compare to the grid in that link, and then went through each section of the map to find ones I was missing. It made mopup pretty quick and easy, especially once you have all items listed above and there's nothing stopping you from getting the eggs other than knowledge of where to go and what to do.
Remember - when you get to 8 and especially 32 eggs, don't forget to return to the egg room to get the Flute and the Top, respectively.

- The Remote - this is obtained with the S Medal after beating the Chameleon boss
- The Bouncy Ball - this is obtained with the K Medal from the giant kangaroo
- The Animal Flute - this is collectable after finding 8 secret eggs
- The Top - this is collectable after finding 32 secret eggs
- The Wheel - this is obtained by using the Animal Flute to free five caged bobcats and then returning to their mother's lair, which is only accessible with the Top
