Find a chinchilla, they walk towards you and let you jump up on their heads. There are a few around.
If you have the flute you already know about the sleeping ones to the left of the egg room. There is also one if you go right, up & 5 more rights from the central statue room.

Maybe I'm confusing it with a room I used to get to a chest, but I was pretty positive I had to do this in the rooms in the uppermost right corner of the map, to be able to reach the chameleon boss.
I've since had to do this again to reach one of the eggs, so it's important to know of the existence of this travel method to use it to get around.

Isn't this story related? To get to the chameleon boss in the upper right section, there's a room you need to ride a chinchilla across spikes with the yo-yo. This achievement unlocks there, and I don't see how you could avoid it.

This achievement requires the Yo-Yo and a chinchilla. Chinchillas can be found in the chameleon area in the northeast. Simply jump on one's head and then shoot out the Yo-Yo in front of you, and the chinchilla will chase it, carrying you forward. This is required to be able to reach a couple secret eggs.
