This is a circular puzzle that kit controls via 4 valves. There are 2 pipes on the outside of the circle, 1 on the left and 1 on the right.
Start from the left most valve and connect to the pipes on the outside of the circle. Then move on to next value on the right and then the next and next until you get a small cut scene showing the steam going through the pipes.

The bent one on the outside needs to connect to the right pipe.

if you have the cat near the machine then you can press RB to switch characters so you can look at the puzzle in the light rather than trying to work it out in the dark, so when kit has hold of a wheel switch to the cat and it will show the puzzle then switch back to move the wheel and keep switching each time to see where you need to alter the puzzle.

You will unlock this trophy while in the London Sewers (A taste of the Renaissance). Kit will come across a dial puzzle with four wheels, each of which controls a single part of a circle. If you imagine this circle as a clock, you need to connect pipes to run from 8:00 to 2:00. You'll know you've done this correctly when you pull the lever just right of the puzzle and the pipes light up, showing the path you just built.
