How to unlock the Cannon Connoisseur achievement in Anthem - Definitive Guide

All of the Weapon I Challenge achievements are quite similar. For this one, you need to kill a total of 50 enemies with 3 different variants of the Autocannon.

You can track your progress by pressing cn_back, then browse to Challenges -> Weapons -> Autocannon. Select the rifle you want to track and hit cn_X.

The autocannon challenges required for this achievement are:

Torrent I
Cloudburst I
Mauler I

Basically, any mob can drop them. You will also get it off treasure chests and other mission rewards. Also, note that this is a Colossus-only gun so it can only drop when you are playing the Colossus javelin.

I just want to say that as of 3/10/19 this is a bugged achievo and is not unlocking for me. great guide!

Also bugged ;( 3 days ago I finished the challenge with a weapons, but achievement not unlocked.

I have cannon connoissueir and straight shooter finished and unpopped . Nothing works , even uninstalled the game for every patch and updated when bioware released them . Needs patched now , not later !

This ones really odd (along with some of the other Weapon cheevos). I scored this shortly after release day before the first patch hit. People are still scoring this achievement now so it's not like it doesn't work for anybody which makes troubleshooting this a bit more difficult I suppose.

Can confirm this is now patched. Jumped into freeplay and killed two enemies with an auto cannon and achievement popped.

same here, no matter what I do I cant get the torrent autocannon to drop at all .... how strange!! and annoying.

I know this is an older guide but would have been good to know you can only use autocannon on the colossus and thus I couldn’t get the them to even drop on a ranger.

For some reason the Torrent I will not drop for me while playing my Colossus. I have tried freeplay, strongholds, legendary mission, quickplay random mission. quickplay random stronghold, on different difficulties ranging from easy to grandmaster 2. Still no luck with getting the last autocannon to drop....

If you're anything like me, I got tired of using the colossus quick and saved these until the endgame. When I finally came back to it, i just needed one auto cannon left (torrent i think). While farming strongholds looking for it, i stumbled across a way easier way to get this. Once you hit max level, you unlock masterwork weapon challenges for those weapons. These also count toward the achievement (confirmed this through AR's and Marksman as well) making it alot easier to find a required weapon and complete. If anyone finds issues with this solution, please comment so I can change. Good luck to the masses on completion of this trash can of a game!

To unlock the Cannon Connoisseur trophy in Anthem, you will need to complete three of the Autocannon challenges which can be found by opening the Menu > Challenges > Weapons > Autocannon

You will find four challenges available -- one for each of the game's three Autocannons, and a final one for completing all three of the Autocannon challenges.

The three challenges you will need to complete are 50 kills with the following three weapons:

Cloudburst
Mauler
Torrent

Autocannon I challenges task you with killing 50 enemies with a specific weapon. You must use the Torrent, Cloudburst, and Mauler and kill 50 enemies with each to unlock this achievement.

You can check your progress toward this under Weapons in the "Challenges" in the menu.

Each of three weapons in a given class has multiple challenges associated with them. For this, you need to complete the level 1 challenge which is 50 kills with each.

This is a Colossus only weapon class.

  • Cloudburst
  • Mauler
  • Torrent
