Complete 3 Sniper Rifle I Challenges
How to unlock the Sniper Ace achievement in Anthem - Definitive Guide
All of the Weapon I Challenge achievements are quite similar. For this one, you need to kill a total of 50 enemies with 3 different variants of the sniper rifle.
You can track your progress by pressing , then browse to Challenges -> Weapons -> Sniper Rifle. Select the rifle you want to track and hit .
The sniper rifle challenges required for this achievement are:
Deadeye I
Devastator I
Whirlwind I
Basically, any mob can drop them. You will also get it off treasure chests and other mission rewards.

The challenge is completed on my game, however the achievement never popped. Not sure what to do for it to register the completion.

Quite a few people reporting similar things for some of the other gun achievements. You'll just have to wait for a bit I guess. Hopefully EA will implement a solution for this very soon!

There are three sniper rifles in Anthem, and for this achievement, you'll need to get 50 kills with each. You can see your progress by pressing , then over to Challenges, scroll down to weapons and then to sniper rifle. Sometimes, you'll need to press twice, then to get the game to show all the challenges available. For the first challenges, all enemies count the same, so focus on the weakest enemies available.
You'll want to make sure that the weapon you are using is close in power level to the rest of your gear. Any newly collected or crafted weapon will do. It can be hard to get a specific weapon to drop. You may just have to keep killing bosses and replaying missions until you get the weapon you need.
Each Sniper Rifle functions differently, but they all have low reserve ammo. I recommend bringing gear to improve your ammo storage and carrying a machine pistol or assault rifle for backup.
The Deadeye is exactly what you expect from a sniper rifle. 5 rounds in a magazine, fires slowly, high zoom. Unfortunately, Anthem's fast-paced combat makes it hard to get kills with something so slow. I recommend going into freeplay and killing wildlife from a safe distance.
The Whirlwind is more like a scout rifle with zoom. If you used the raptor in Mass Effect, you'll find this similar. It hold 12 rounds, and each will kill a weak enemy with one shot.
The Devastator is weird. It fires a round that explodes on impact, then immediately needs to reload. It doesn't deal enough damage to kill elite enemies in one hit. After some trial, I've found the best use for the devastator is hit weak enemies just as they spawn in. You can often get multiple kills this way.
