While I can't remember for sure whether I maxed out Arcanist Loyalty from a mission or by talking to someone right after, I also didn't get the achievement. I have friends who did unlock it

This achievement is the only one that glitched on me. Despite all of that just have faith that EA and Bioware will fix this as soon as they get the game back on it's feet. It got rushed and everyone knows that.

Having had this achievement originally bug out on me I loaded up after today's patch and tried a sentinel contract with no luck. Figured I'd give the new Stronghold a look and straight after the first chest spawn my achievement finally popped!

The Achievement now unlocks as of patch 1.1.0. Just go do any Arcanist mission (I did the Mathias legendary mission) to earn some rep and it will unlock as soon as the mission is finished.

I had this one glitch as well. My GF on the other hand had it unlock no problem.

Only difference we noticed between our experiences is I hit 3,000 XP with the Arcanists while in the Fort (from a conversation) while she hit the target while on a mission. Her achievement popped at the information unlock screen at the end of the expedition, while I never got that info screen and didn't get the achievement.

So maybe try to make sure you hit 3,000 with each faction while out on a mission, not in the fort? Not sure that's the thing but it's all I've got so far.

To get this, you need your arcanist loyalty to reach 3000/3000.

Arcanist loyalty is increased in couple ways, but most importantly, by opening chests. Resolving world events and progressing through strongholds will let you open chests. You can also complete contracts for the arcanists.

The Arcanists are one of three factions in Anthem. To gain loyalty with a faction, you must talk with their personnel in Fort Tarsis, complete contracts they request, and get collectibles related to them. In addition to reaching Loyalty 3, you need to completely fill the loyalty bar (essentially reaching a non-existent Loyalty 4). You shouldn't need to go out of your way for any of the loyalty achievements, but if you have completed the story, all collectibles, and gotten your Masterwork rarity, you can do additional contracts from the board next to Matthias in the building next to the fountain and open treasure chests while on missions for the Arcanists.

*Potentially glitched*

This will increase slowly over time and based on certain actions that you can take. You will need 500 points to complete level 1, 1,500 for level 2, and 5,000 for level 3. The following will increase your Freelancer rep:

  • World events.
  • Opening treasure chests and finding collectibles in freeplay.
  • Mattheus’ contracts and missions.
  • Conversations in Fort Tarsis.

Reputation carries over across characters, so if you find the grind to be too much after completing the story, create a new character and complete missions again.
