Become the Kill Leader
How to unlock the Kill Leader achievement in Apex Legends - Definitive Guide
To get this achievement you need to be the person with the highest amount of kills at any point in the game. People have said this doesn't work when getting first blood in a game but others have said it does work. For me this popped late in the game when I got my 4th Kill and it came up on the screen that I was the Kill Leader. Just by playing this game a lot you should be able to unlock it.

Just to add my anecdotal experience
I managed to get first blood and kill the kill leader without getting the achievement. Obviously these were two separate games. But yeah those two experiences resulted in no achievement unfortunately.

this achievement is definitely skill-dependent but i found myself the kill leader quite a few times while working towards the other achievements while being pretty mid at the game if i am being honest.. now, if this is absolutely the last achievement you need and you have no interest in continuing to play the game, you could always tank your rating then become the kill leader in a game in which you are, by far, the best player.. not very sporty.. but it works

Kill leader is a bit more complicated than it may seem. Although it is still very simple. To put it straight forward it seems the first to get 3 kills is awarded kill leader. Then after that You need to get more kills then the kill leader.
If you kill the kill leader and have 3 or more kills, you should become the kill leader regardless if someone has more kills. If you have more kills in that situation, you will have to get another kill to register you as the kill leader.
If you wanna know how many kills the kill leader is currently at, there are screens all around that cycle through the champion and kill leader and will show their kills.

I don't know if this is true or not but i had 6 kills and my teammate had 4 and he was kill leader, so i assumed it was a glitch but i think if you kill the kill leader you become the kill leader in some situations but not sure

I got this by getting the final kill of the game, two of my squad were bleeding out and I had the lowest kill count of my squad, but the achievement still popped.
Hey Gamers! Welcome to APEX Legends!
This video will discuss what you need to know to get the Kill Leader Achievement in APEX! Basically, you must have at least three kills and the kill leader must be alive..so if a kill leader dies he will no longer be kill leader and it will fall to who killed him and subsequently the next player with the most kills will take over.
I hope you find the video helpful!

This trophy isn’t as hard as it sounds and should unlock naturally just by playing the game. To become the Kill Leader, you’ll need to be the current player with the most kills in the match at any current time. It usually takes about 3-6+ kills to become the new Kill Leader. You should get it without thinking about it.
Killing the final remaining #2-4/20 Squads can also result in you becoming the new Kill Leader near the end of the match. You’ll know you’re the current Kill Leader when the words YOU ARE THE NEW KILL LEADER appear in the center of your screen along with your current kill number. The trophy will unlock as soon as those words appear.

The Kill Leader in any given match is, obviously, the person with the most kills. However, a small caveat is that is does not unlock on the first kill of the match, or even the second. You must have a minimum of three kills to become a Kill Leader. If the current Kill Leader is taken out, a new one will be appointed, so you could get this by default if you have three kills and someone else with four is killed across the map by someone else. This should inevitably come as you get your wins with each character.

When the game starts you need to kill 2+ players, the best place is bridges. The main task is to kill more players on the server, the more time passes, the more difficult it is

I don’t agree about the place, the place for killings can be completely random and it all depends on the players in the match. Just play and gain skill, sometimes you come across not very strong “squads” and just dismantle the new Kill leader.

You don't have to be a leader the entire game. The main thing is to let them know that you are the leader and the trophy is yours
