How to unlock the The Spirit of Vengeance achievement in Aragami 2 - Definitive Guide

Repeat the final mission with S rank until you get. This mission is short (3 - 5 minutes) and has the highest xp in the game.

Definitely the best way. My quickest time was 3.28.

What are the requirements for an S rank on that mission?

I thought S-rank requirement was knock-outs only unless you have to kill a target as an objective? I've been detected once and ran away, still got S-rank.

I thought S-rank only depends on detection. When you are undetected...you get S-rank. No matter if you kill enemies or knock out. I even get an S-rank with one discovered body.

I believe an S rank is related to the three special reward medals at the end of the missions. It's been a tad buggy at launch where I killed everyone in a level and was rewarded the medal for not alerting/killing anyone. I also got an S when I didn't have a fast time once, so time isn't the only factor.

My fastest time was 2:08 at the end screen. Worked good and fast. Thanks

I thought S rank is for being fast

Nope, time doesn't factor in at all in regards to S ranks. As long as you don't kill anyone and only get detected a couple times, if at all, you're practically guaranteed an S rank.

That being said, this achievement is so stupid and pointless. It's not like there's a New Game+ you can take your level 30 character into or anything.

5 minutes? This mission took me 30 minutes

Perfect thanks, 900xp per 2:30/3:00 on average. Only have to stealth kill the boss 3 times, completely ignore everyone else. I just dropped on top of him and then teleported away once the animation was complete, then run back to opposite side he spawns on. Very quick and easy.

This achievement didn't unlock for me after getting 30. Hopefully, this helps someone, but I replayed the last mission and actually waited for the screen to show my level (kept skipping it by clicking through the mission summary screen). After doing this, the achievement popped as soon as I loaded back into the village.

I wonder if the old strategy still works fine with the last update.

Well, if you don't count loading screens, the time it takes to get to the castle, the time it takes to go home at the fact that there are always 4 other invisible crawling guys with the boss and killing the boss the 1st try is almost pure luck, yeah, 3 to 5 min...

Well, my medium time was 3 minute +-10 secs before patch.
Patch notes beefed up the last encounter to give more challenge.
Is 3 minute still valid?

This game is a mess, funny for maybe 5 or 6 missions, then it's just rinse and repeat to boredom...

For me speedrunning the ‘secret of daikizo mine’ works the best by far. I can finish that mission in 2 minutes, while the end boss cost me way more time due to walk part at the beginning/ending of the level and I never find the boss fast three times in a row so I am always searching some minutes for the boss even after killing the invisible ninja’s. Agree with GrumpyJogi. I am happy if I finish the end boss in 10 min haha. So daikizo mine all the way for me :)

I wasn't sure if this was the best way, but after I did the mission a couple times I was able to really cut my time down to about 5-6 minutes a run. It's probably the best bet.

If you're having trouble Identfying the boss and killing the other stealth warriors keep in mind you cannot stun the boss. If you get the option to stun or kill (as you pretty much always have through the game) that ain't your target so you don't have to attack them.

Like a few others, I had difficulty doing the final mission quickly and couldn't get an S rank on it without being really slow. I tried the method posted by TitanReaper TJ and it takes under 1:30, I was finishing with an average time of 1:17 when I got the flow down. Went from level 26 to 30 in an hour and a half, which is including a 15 minute break.

The creator of this solution should consider adding that for those that don't want to do or aren't good enough at speed running the final level. It's helpful to have choices. I even made a video showing how to speed run Secret of Daikizo Mine Schinderdiv playing Aragami 2

I hated the last level so I also opted to run The Secret of Daikizo Mine for this (thanks to the comments). Just wanted to say that it can be completed in an average of 1:10 by just running straight down the middle and entering the first objective area from the right side. All of the enemies will spot you but it only counts as one detection and still awards you a S rank.

Yup Mission 20 is alot easier to do this on, for sure!

Unfortunatley this is not the best solution. Like many others stated The Secret of Daikizo Mine is the quickest method. 300 EXP + 175 EXP for S rank in 1:10-1:30. Its a very easy S rank unlike the final mission.

Final mission isnt hard but its longer and less EXP over the length of time (You can complete The Secret of Daikizo Mine at least 3 times in the time it takes you to complete the Last mission) not to mention S rank is not easy to get especially when it takes very little damage to kill you and you are likely to be spotted often.

Mission 20 Secret of Daikizo Mine is the way to go.
It can be easily completed on Hard with S rank which in total grants 698 EXP, making it 3-4 runs per level and a level can be completed in 1:20 (my best time was 1:12). Upgraded Wrath will allow you run through the half of the level unnoticed. Just need to think about Stamina, not allowing it to fully deplete, until you reach safe areas

It's not unlocking for me, and I am level 32 now... I've got 4 achievements left and 3 of them should have unlocked by now because I got all the collectibles and reached level 30, but they aren't popping. Anyone know what to do?

The achievements in this game are a joke for two reasons.
The unlocks are actually trash, you usually have to quit the game, reload and hope it pops or complete a mission start to finish.
Reason two would be the fact there are collectables and grinding to level 30. It took me 6 hours to beat the game, 20 hours to 100 percent.
Not the time ratio anyone likes to see for a 100%

Also if you played the first game you'd know this one is much worse and very uninspired..

I know it's not the solution, but count me as another vote for "Secret of Daikizo Mine". Very easy to do while watching another screen.

As long as you don’t kill anyone and only get detected a couple times, if at all, you’re practically guaranteed an S rank.
That’s incorrect, I’ve gotten S ranks in missions where I’ve killed almost everyone, in addition to missions where I’ve killed no one.

@FirejunAle If you are lucky, yes, the battle itself is maybe 3 min but i have no such luck. On average I have to kil 4 to 6 fake ones to get the boss 3 times. And the boss white mist to show where he is often disappear. And if you add the time you run away from enemies for killing a fake one (there are at leasy 4 at each boss locations) then come back and try again, i'd say it double the mission time.
Then of course add everything else i mentioned above that is not in the 3 min and you can easily reach 8 to 10 min per run. You finish game at around lvl 24, min 4 runs per level so you'll need min 24 runs at the boss to get to lvl 30. Haven't had the patience to finish this boring task yet but soon.

Weird, none of my achievements had any issues popping Taylor. Also, I played on Hard and got an S Rank in every mission, and I was level 33 when I beat the game.

So grinding out the last 4-6 levels from 26 to 30 can be a pain and I used the repeat the last level method, killing the final boss repeatedly until I was sick of it and picked up the last smidgeon of XP with Secret of Daikizo Mine mission.

However, the mission Tsubuyaku can present some difficulties and most of my runs were in the 5-10 minute range; though with the huge amount of XP you gain -and hopefully maxed out with S-rank- I believe it is still the best method if you can get savvy of the boss's tricks.

Obviously if you have not completed the game this guide contains **SPOILERS**

Hope this helps!!

If like myself, you were playing the game in co-op which makes most cutscenes seem unskippable the final level clocks in around the 10 minute mark for 616xp. We found ‘Looking for Clues’ in Akatsuchi Palace region to be quick and easy with no cutscenes to hamper running the level over and over again.

The level rewards 450 gold which if running two player co-op allows both players to buy the homeward seal at a cost of 900 basically for free saving around 40 seconds per run. The total run is normally around the 1:08 region for 245xp. It was taking around 6-8 runs to gain a level from finishing the game at roughly level 25.

The below video shows the run, followed by a solo run to demonstate both players POV along with the nearby exit portal if you don’t wish to run the homeward seal item.

The momentum perk is required to get the opening double kill when entering the lab area. Smoke bombs are recommended in case a real fight kicks off to quickly stealth kill groups of enemies. I found Shadow Pull killing the wizard upstairs drew less attention than using the Shadow Kill murder dragon to eat him.

This will probably be your last trophy in the game. I was level 24 when I finished the game and had to grind XP to hit Rank/Level 30. Depending on how you play, will determine how much time you need to put in at the end to earn this, hence saying it may be your last trophy.

The two known quickest ways to earn XP are repeating missions over and over.

Method 1: I did Mission 20 Secret of Daikizo Mine which if you rush from start to finish can be done in under 90 seconds and will earn you around 450xp. This took me an hour to get to Rank 30.

Method 2: However for more XP you can do the last mission Tsubuyaku, which if you do quickly and efficiently can be done in around 5-10mins for around 850-950xp so the choice is yours. As soon as you hit Level 30, the trophy will pop.

After completing the story I was level 24.
After collecting all the hidden objects, level 25.
I reached level 30 according to the video guide (en).
To increase the 1st level you need to go 6-7 times. On average, it took 1:15 to complete at a time.

The easiest time to score is on the last boss. From 3 to 5 minutes at a time you can earn up to 900 XP.
Also upon completion they give 1700 gold. (You can mark a target on and jump only on it)
