The key to Ikari Warriors is survival, as the game does not have continues, and one hit from anything, be it a tank, enemy fire, etc., will kill you. In this case, I highly advise increasing the number of lives to five in the game settings as one way of making the game easier. Whenever you feel you are in a safe spot, create an interrupt save, and continue on from there, and if possible, be sure to collect power ups (for example, "F" improves firepower and "L" increases shot length), refill your ammo and grenades, and ride the tank when needed, but be sure to pick up gas when on the latter, as it will be destroyed once its gas tank runs out, so when it does, be sure to exit from it and escape as soon as you can.

Time, patience, and interrupt saves at safe spots are key to surviving in Ikari Warriors, so be sure to use the tips above to ensure your survival and reach the score you need to unlock all three trophies.
