ARCADE GAME SERIES: GALAGA

The Boss Galaga is the green enemy that takes two shots to kill. The first shot will turn it dark blue and the second shot will destroy it. They have two primary attacks. The first is a looping dive that's identical to the attacks of all the other enemies. The second is a direct dive with no looping that stops about two-thirds down the screen. At that point, the Boss Galaga will emit a tractor beam. If your ship is in the path of the beam, it will start spinning and get pulled toward the Boss Galaga. Until your ship actually reaches the Boss Galaga, you can still fire, but you cannot control your ship. To unlock this achievement, you need to shoot the Boss Galaga and destroy it while your ship is being pulled toward it, but before it's actually completely captured.

Since you can't actually control your ship, your best bet is to simply mash the fire button as fast as possible once your ship is in the tractor beam. Obviously this will be much simpler if the Boss Galaga has been shot once already because the odds of hitting it twice before your fighter is captured are quite low.
