How to unlock the Single Perfect achievement in ARCADE GAME SERIES: GALAGA - Definitive Guide

I got this on Level 27.

It's a really simple level, you just need to line up the shot and hammer the Fire button.
Wave 1: Right edge
Wave 2: About halfway over the crown marker.
Wave 3: Above the third ship on the left
Wave 4: Left edge
Wave 5: Right edge

Wave 2 is the trickiest part, but I had a much easier time with this than level 15.



This will also get you Stage 27 Perfect, of course.

Crap, that does look easier on stage 27. I was able to do it on stage 15 but it took forever. Thanks for the vid!

Thumbs up from me. The 2nd set of enemies is the hardest part. You get past that and the entire bonus stage is cake.

Don't bother with the X 'auto-fire' button on this, you can hit A and shoot quite a bit faster. After probably 20+ perfectly timed runs with X, I thought maybe my game was buggy and then tried button mashing on A and got it on my 2nd try. Don't be me...

yeah solution should be edited to add the previous two commentors about the A button, i had the same issue, first try mashing A +1 goes to JORAX! toast

IMPORTANT: Need to be FIRE BUTTON (A for default) in the Second Wave... Auto-fire is not working, always miss one.

I just couldn't do 4 or 5 hammering A. X worked a lot better for me on the diagonal waves 1+4+5, and as mentioned A is absolutely necessary for vertical waves 2+3.

Well I just managed it using X rather than A on my 2nd attempt, so it can definitely be done using fast fire not only normal fire. Didn't use A at all on any wave.

Awesome guide! Originally I was just using X to try and get the waves, but kept missing some. Then I mashed A for all the waves but the 3rd one and got it pretty quickly.

This achievement requires you to kill every single enemy on a challenge stage without the use of Dual Fighter. The challenge stages are unique in that the enemies zoom through in a preset pattern and then exit the stage. You have one opportunity to kill them and that's all. This is quite easy to get on Stage 27. Watch the video below, memorize the ship positioning, and then load up the level and shoot down every ship.
