How to unlock the Hexadecimal achievement in Arcade Paradise - Definitive Guide

This relates to the Gravichase arcade cabinet, which plays similarly to Super Hexagon, albeit a lot easier.

It should unlock when working towards the goal on the machine for hitting a score of 100.

Cheers appare13 for getting clarification from the developers that you need a score of 66.

For those wanting to know what the achievement description says, use a hexadecimal to ASCII converter and go from there...

I can confirm that it unlocks at the same time as reaching the goal for 50 points.

Did not unlock for me. Got to 57, the goal was unlocked but not the achievement.

Regarding my problem with noch unlocking the achievement with a score of 57 I just asked one of the Devs on Reddit, he checked it gave me this answer:
Just checked and it unlocks at a score of 66. Which we don't actually tell anyone anywhere, d'oh! Hopefully you can get there with a bit more practice :)

My best advice is to use the d pad and don’t get stressed. I turned the music down, listened to a podcast and just took my time making small incremental movements with the d pad. If you put too much pressure on the pad you’re gonna move too much and game over.

For some reason this is one of few im struggling with. I die way to easy and soon. Maybe I will try the d-pad next round to see if that helps.

Got this first try (on hard accidentally) because I'm used to looking at vector graphics I guess? The trick is just use the D-PAD and make sure your ship is facing the right quadrant, you don't have to get anywhere near close to the middle opening. You'll notice after a few rounds that your ship "hops" into the quadrants and you'll catch the groove. I almost just kept going but decided to just crash at 66, exited the game and the cheev locked a few seconds later (kinda slow like most of them in this game) hope this helps

Am I missing something? I’ve tried analogue stick and dpad and I can not get past a score of 6 as the lines become extremely close to each other and if the open quadrant is facing the opposite way I’m closed in before I can even turn half way around. Any advice would be appreciated. Playing on series X

Well played, achievement. The whole game is well played really, never thought I'd enjoy playing a person in a laundry but it happened.

this is impossible, i dunno if its my tv or what, but you can barely see the next ring which leaves you a split second to make a choice, and if you dont make that choice perfectly, you die. i just played like 100 times and got to 15, 65 seems impossible

If you can't get this, it's skill issue. I play 30 fps, 10 ms input lag and I got this after like 10 tries. Just keep trying and you'll eventually unlock the achievement.

Unlocks when you get to 66. Perfect :)
I managed to carry on going and ended up at 194!
There is a goal for 100 points so if you can get to 100 then try to go for that too.

DPad made this extremely easy. I killed myself at 200 because I figured I'd just keep going forever for no reason lol

To save you some work, the hex numbers are ASCII code for "bit.ly/IqT6zt"

No, this isn't a lame joke, it's actually that link.

This game is prone to over-steering a bit. Very slim chance of correction.
Tip: I literally muted my tv to do this. The sound wants you to think it's a rhythm type game, but it will mess you up. At least it did me. The pulse sounds did not match up with the gates, and it has a weird way of looking like it speeds up.
Muscle memory game . To avoid over-steer. The 180 gates really need muscle memory.

I initially found this very difficult to do with the Xbox contoller.

The key is to use the analog pad on the bottom left of your controller.

- Put your left-hand thumb on the left side, right-hand thumb on the right of the pad.

- Keep your eyes looking for the next level opening to anticipate moving the ship.

This made getting the 66 required much easier for me.

This one is kicking my butt. I've managed to get to 810GS on the game so far and most of the achi's I have left are just money grinds (get all the upgrades / get 250k etc) but this game is absolutely destroying me for some reason.

My highest is 25 xD.

the left - right trick worked for me. therefor +1

the hardest part is the beginning until you are at a score of 20, then the game will slow down a bit and the 66 will be a lot easier.

got a Highscore of 117

Me personally, I've tried multiple times with the analog pad and I wasn't doing well (I tried at least 50 times). As I read the other solutions and replies, I decided to try using the stick and by my 4th attempt, I got a score of 127. I feel like it's easier to have control of the movement whereas the d pad makes the movement stiff. I can't say whether the difficulty matters because I've always played on medium but when I tried to play on easy, the board seemed to have gone faster which made it.more difficult. I'm assuming that the more you play it on a certain difficulty, the easier it gets but again, I'm not too sure on that. I got the achievement playing it on medium. Analyze and pay close attention to where the openings will be and make sure to wait for the previous hexagon that you passed, to disappear before you start adjusting to the next opening.
