Hmm, just completed all the base game though your walkthough, and this hasn't popped.
Oh, my mistake, that was Master Explorer that popped, not Veteran Paleontologist, guess I must have missed one. OK, added the new Dossiers from the title update, and they both popped. Thanks for the great walkthough, btw!

No DLC is required to get platinum, everything is done on the Island map via the command line.
Important! The game can delete a character after Ascension, this erases progress and you have to start all over again, to avoid wasting nerves and time, start completing trophies from Maximum survivor (2 Ascension), then Perfect explorer (After you take the dossier near the boss in the tech cave, kill him and Ascension will start, after which the character will appear on the beach with an open dossier on the Overseer ). Next, collect trophies in free order.
If after Ascension and starting the map you are prompted to create a new survivor, try clicking Load Survivor in the lower right part of the screen, your character may be there.
