How to unlock the Expert Survivor achievement in ARK: Survival Evolved - Definitive Guide

Start a single player game. Press the menu button to pause the game. In the command line type "god" without quotes and press the admin button. Then type "summon gorilla_character_bp_c" and press the button. Unpause and look at the giant gorilla. Press the pause button again and type "kill" into the command box. Press the admin button and you get your achievement when you unpause.

Good I just miss this achievement and I skip the achievement, I have been able to kill about 6 times, what can I do?

From another achievement in this title update there was a comment saying to not kill immediately. I used 'leavemealone' and then waited 30s to kill and then it popped for me.

What kungfuskills recommended worked perfectly for me. I was entering the "kill" command directly after summoning the gorilla without any luck but waiting a few seconds before killing it popped the achievement

You need to summon the boss at an obelisk or supply drop. It requires all 8 artifacts from the Island, 2 sauropod vertebrae, 4 argentavis talons, 4 rex arms, and 8 megalodon teeth. The bosses are super tough, it is highly recommended you do this on single player.

For single player you can use commands to spawn in the items to your inventory (or grab the artifacts as it is tied to another achievement). Put Player Damage at 999 and Dino Resistance to 999. Use the command "infinitestats" or "god" before you engage. Use a bow and shoot the boss for about 2 billion damage and get your achievement. You could punch it but minions will get in the way.

To add on to what he said, you dont have to get the artifacts to kill it just admin spawn the Megapithecus in your world and kill it achievement will pop (: here is the spwan code

True, but the dragon does not work with the spawn method. Also, killing the boss in the arena awards its flag, its head to mount on a wall, and the dossier which is for another achievement.

This trophy requires that you summon and defeat the Megapithecus, which is basically a giant gorilla. In order to summon it, you must go to the blue obelisk on the map and offer up certain items. To get to an obelisk, use the admin command:

setplayerpos -195067 -199302 34000

Once here you can tap on the little terminal on the ground and select Tributes for it will show you what materials you need to summon the bosses. You can complete the boss on any difficulty so I recommend doing them on easy(gamma) but first, back out of that menu and use the following admin commands:

gfi artifact_12 1 1 0
gfi artifact_7 1 1 0
gfi artifact_2 1 1 0

This will give you all the required items for the tribute to summon the Megapithecus. Go back into the obelisk and move all the items that you spawned into the obelisk. Now go into the tributes and select the Generate Megapithecus (Gamma) Portal and select the Generate with Tribute button below. If it successfully took the materials for the tribute, back out of the obelisk and wait. A laser wall will go up around you and you will then be teleported to the Megapithecus' lair. You can use any weapon to kill it. For a good damaging spear use the code:

gfi pike 1 100 0

After you kill it the trophy will pop. You will automatically teleport out after a short while after you kill the Megapithecus.

The trophy is taken together with Perfect Explorer .
Commands are entered on a local server (single player or dedicated server).
In order to call the command line, you need to pause the game and press the combination L1+R1+ +
summon gorilla_character_bp_easy_c - Summons Megapithecus.
Kill - Kills a creature that is in the sight (if there is no sight, pick up a bow or something similar). If the kill doesn't count. After the boss appears, let him run a little (10-30 seconds).
