I read somewhere in the youtube comments that it‘s neccesary now to spawn and tame the rock drake too, I got the Achievement today immediately after I tamed him.
So if you use Maka‘s guide or this guide make sure you spawn and tame all 89 dinos and after that use the following for the rock drake:

Comments seem to indicate that the batch command is no longer working, so this solution will not be helpful anymore. I will leave it up for now in case it starts working again, but it seems like you will have to go one-by-one.

This solution is for players using Windows 10, streaming to Windows 10, or using Smartglass. If you use the symbol "|" you can tame in blocks of 10, which makes this go very quickly. (Thanks to Sandman78 for the tip)

Open the admin command and copy/paste each block into the command:

If you go into the explorer notes in your menu and scroll down on Helen's you can see a list of all creatures. Those without a checkmark are the ones you haven't tamed yet.

For me, the issue was that some of the sea creatures didn't spawn as I wasn't by any water.

You can find the commands needed for the ones you may have missing below. Once spawned use the command Dotame

The achievement unlocks in the menu, don’t back out to the game because it runs so slowly.

Make sure the pictures of the creatures appear on the left, otherwise click to make sure the console command is ran again.

Count the number of creatures in the text, and make sure the same number of creatures appears in the pictures on the left. Wait for it to say “tamed X” after the pictures dissapear before moving onto the next block of text.

If you accidentally load into the game spam down and A and teleport to the top of the mountain using the console command in the achievement for reaching the highest peak.

This worked for me.

If you’re struggling with using streaming, an extra menu just for windows 10 has to appear. It can be buggy so just close the app, restart and restream.

Take this slow.

I didn’t think I had to redo the pterodactyl since I had been using it for the other achievements. Achievement unlocked only after I did the pterodactyl, such that all 90 creatures were alive and tamed at the same time.

This works fine on Xbox One X.

Just did it earlier today.

I used my Windows computers Xbox Companion app from the windows store to copy and paste the blocks of text across to the console.

Worked well by spawning a block of 10, then using fly to move away from them and spawn the next 10.

I couldn't get this to work for me on Windows, seemed to have issues with some creatures not spawning or dying instantly or getting stuck in each other. Going to try again on Xbox to see if it'll work but might have to break the list down to get it done.

Used the xbox app on windows desktop, some copy/paste and alt/tab was all that was needed. That would have been a pain to type directly into the game even with a physical keyboard.

Sid that but didnt pop. Any way to chevk animals tamed? The last 10 dinos was weird. Some of them appeared but the name box didnt. And some dinos disnt appear but the text said they were tamed. So i lost full control .

Doesn’t this totally void the point of this achievement?

Anyone can copy and paste a bunch of text or, in the case of a ps4 type it out with excruciating difficulty using the on screen keyboard and controller, But it takes great dedication in order to find and tame every tameable creature in ark. That’s why this achievement is so EPIC!

I don’t want to totally diss those that are cheating this achievement, each to their own I guess. But for me it is such a huge and epic task, which in itself is one of the reasons I feel compelled to complete it without any cheats.

Wow! What an amazing guide. Took me forever as the game essentially froze as I moved through each group and had hundreds of dinos on the screen wanting to be named. The trick I figured was to press your Xbox button - and the game would assume this to mean you were leaving the game - and hence automatically go to the pause menu, allowing you to press back button and re-enable the game to allow you to enter admin code again. So try this if you get stuck in a loop of dino naming windows. Otherwise, I just popped this after pasting the final group of dinos to be tamed. Now off to Map Maker achieve. Boo.

you can easily do this with your xbox one, controller, and USB keyboard. No PC or special hardware required!

go to your apps and use the edge browser to come to this solution or the Ark walkthrough (it has the console commands too)

use your controller to move the cursor over one of the commands and hit

to highlight it all. Hit CTRL+C to copy the text.

press

and go to Ark. Bring up the text box for the console command and press CTRL+V. It should paste the block of text . Activate the command

The edge browser and Ark can run simultaneously so you can keep switching back between the two and do this achievement in a few minutes.

The achievement was not popping eventhough I used all codes but thanks to one of the comment I finally managed to unlock it.
It was due to not be in the water so marine creatures couldn't spawn.

I have done this 20+ times with every single way mentioned in the guide and comments and still nothing. Came back to it a year later and tried another half a dozen times and still nothing. Ready to give up completely on this one. I can confirm that they are all listed in my notes as having been tamed as well. This has got to be the worst ever console command achievement.

Hey man, you should update it, yesterday 19/05/2022 I redownload the game after a long of time and decide to go ahead and give it a shot, and I find that you dont have to use the "dotame" command anymore, I was just typing Gmsummon "( )_Character_BP_C"1 over and over again and got it in 40 mins aprox, just changing the name of the dinosaur Ive needed and so on

Xbox App on your mobile device of choice. Open App and Connect to Console. Once connected (and while you are in game), click the 'controller' symbol next to the Ark tile. Your mobile device will have a mostly black screen with colors and characters that correspond to the physical controller. Now, in Ark bring up the admin console box. Your mobile device SHOULD VIBRATE and pop a text box up. This is what you ise to paste in all codes. Once entered just submit it in game, rinse, and repeat.

Btw - this was far easier on my tablet than phone. FYI

So I followed this guide exactly, including the rock drake, and no achievement. Then I tried again about a week later, still no achievement. So I looked through my dossier and found there were plenty of creatures that hadn't been checked off. So I picked gasbags at random, summoned one, tamed it (with dotame), and the achievement popped. So either the gasbags needs to be included in the list (and I was lucky enough to try the gasbags first), or just the act of taming something new will get the achievement "unstuck" if it doesn't unlock when it should. Something to try if following this guide doesn't yield the achievement as it should.

If you see any codes that don't work, please let me know.

Edit: in order to get this, you have to have checkmark on all the dossiers of the creatures in your log. If there's no place for a checkmark, you can skip that one.

You MUST have the creature dossier before taming a creature. I suggest following my guide for Veteran Paleontologist before starting (and you can knock out that achievement too!)

The Veteran Paleontologist achievement in ARK: Survival Evolved worth 130 pointsFind the Dossiers of each of ARK's initial Specimens.

WARNING: ascending may erase your progress. Better to do that either first, or do all of these codes first. The are a lot.

Edit: THC Robs95 let me know that this popped in a game where another player spawned the creatures and tamed them. Both players got the achievement. DephoZ confirmed that if you are in a tribe with another person, each of you can get the achievement if one of you does a code, so you can split the work. (See the comments.) At worst, you'll all have to complete the list just as normal.

Open the command box at the pause screen by pressing

. Then type in the codes below, press the Admin Command button, and back out. Once you spawn them, you will have to look at them (so that the tag shows, such as Allosaurus), then pause again and type "dotame" (NOT "forcetame"). The creature needs to be in the center of your screen, which can be a pain with insects and fast creatures. Use can use the "kill" command if you have too many with you and/or they're interfering with your taming.

DephoZ confirmed in the comments that you can save time by force taming the creatures as they spawn. Type the following, with the correct creature where XXXX is:

Gmsummon "XXXX_character_bp_c"1

so something like:

Gmsummon "Achatina_character_bp_c"1

In the creature dossiers, once you've tamed a creature there will be a checkmark, so you can see whether or not you've already gotten it. Unfortunately, the achievement tracker does not move for this one.

There are ~90 codes in all. Some are land creatures, some are sea creatures. Sea creatures can be insta-tamed the same as land creatures; they'll just die out of water. (Makes sense to me.)

Edit: Apparently, there was a difference in the quotation marks that I used in Word and the ones here. I changed the characters, so they should work. Let me know if there's an issue in the comments.

I can't speak to the part about doing it in multiplayer but the code definitely worked as a dual spawn/tame for me.

Nice. Are you trying by summoning them tamed? It might cut the number of codes in half if you don't have to summon the creature, then do a forcetame or dotame

Sorry yeah, having just tried a few I think you're right, it won't count actually, but yeah you can summon an already tamed dino....
If you're looking at Ark wiki, there's two spawning commands on each dino page. Use the summon one, not the spawndino one but change it to summontamed, e.g.
admincheat summontamed Rex_Character_BP_C

It still comes up in the tribe log that you tamed the animal but doesn't have the pop-up on screen and the dino naming box appear.

My achievement has no progress either, I guess it doesn't have tracking which is kinda weak.

Don't think this will work. It does not tick all of the dinosaurs off as tamed when you just spawn them in tamed. Looks like you will have to remove the 'summon tamed' and replace with 'summon' and then enter the command which will then spawn the desired dino (wild). Once the dino if spawned you can enter a different command 'DoTame' which will tame the dino thus giving the require tick in the dossier to say you have tamed that specific creature.

Yea bud. I went through the whole list using each of the dino commands like you are currently doing and spawned in every possible dino pretamed and it did not unlock. If you look in the Dossier you will see a small circle in the top right side of each of the tamable dinos; If it has a tick in it then you have tamed it, if it is blank, then it will need to be tamed.

Just did it solo, the achievement would not pop.. I looked at my dossier logs, as soon as i was comparing my last one and scrolled over it in the logs, the achievement popped.

As stated above, it didn't work for me in multiplayer. I am wondering if I did the steps I used for single player in multiplayer if it would have popped...

& no, I did not get any progress on any dossier (no check marks on animals) in the multiplayer session. I was the host spawning, he was taming, I should have looked in the beginning but I just assumed... :(

Can confirm that the code DephoZ mentioned does work for simultaneous spawning and taming and they do all count. It's easy enough to take his code and input the names of the dinosaurs from Sasha's list. Took around 45 minutes to do the whole thing and that was typing with a controller.

Can confirm that that symbol works perfectly and allows you to do multiple codes at once. You have access to that character with just an Xbox controller, you don't need the app on your phone or need to stream on Windows 10. I suggest editing the codes in the solution (and the walkthrough) so people can copy and paste the blocks of text without editing (editing doesn't take long though, I just did it for myself). I bet you could technically do all 90 codes at once, but I didn't want to risk crashing my Xbox. Also, you need to spam the B button to get rid of all the "name your dinosaur" prompts after you spawn a set of dinosaurs.

How do you view which ones you've tamed? I'm using dotame, but can't find their dossiers. Most of the ones you can view are grayed out on the tab, and the progress bar doesn't go up either.

NOTE: I got the dossiers using the first code in the walkthrough.

Don’t know if it’s on the list as it was the last one I needed after manually doing them all but I missed the electric eel (electrophorus) also carries over between characters and you can see what ones you still need in the explorer log tabs, if it has a circle it’s needed and will appear a tick when complete. I’ve done the first set of ten and noticed that before doing “dotame” I had some checked off.
Tested with Toad and I didn’t “dotame” and I got the check in the dossier on spawning it in.

So I wonder if the behaviour of this achievement has changed?

If you have every dino dossier unlocked, you can find out which dinos need to be tamed, no additionals are required. Great work getting this amended so quickly to reflect the original idea both yourself and I thought we could get away with.

Here is a quick idea that helped me get a whole bunch really quick. When you spawn in one of the 'Easy' zones and run around looking for as many dinos as possible (Dodos, Dilos, Trikes, Paras, Ankylos, Pteras etc) and use the 'DoTame' command on them. I found that this helped massivly rather than take the time to keep spawning easy dinos in.

OR

Another solution would be to perhaps make a large den on say Herbivore Island and spawn in a load of friendly dinos that will not kill each other (the only difference in the command would be the dino name), this way it saves you having to right out the spawn command each time after the 'dotame' command, then just 'dotame' a chunk at a time. This is what I did personally as I think it helped speed things up a little.

Yea the code works and save you a lot of time, for the coop maybe the tribe settings should be set to "tribe only".

Hey Sasha - the updated codes work fine until Brontosaurus. It looks like the double quotes you used in the solution don't work if you copy/paste the codes across as I have been. I needed to change them to regular quotes to make the codes work.

Just some notes on this achievement:

1: Gmsummon didn't work for me, so I used the old codes section.

2: I noticed if I played on single player, it would freeze time. I could then use the dotame command and hit the button without unpausing to tame them. However, there were a few times when this didn't work and I had to chase them, but leaving the game paused and hitting the button made things far easier for the most part.

3: When you do this, however, flying and sea creatures generally spawned invisible but still spawned, and dotame still worked on them.

4: I noticed some creatures will let you ride them without a saddle.

5: I found it easier to use the kill command after taming them. That way they didn't follow me, and there was less clutter when I went to tame them.

6: For taming the sea creatures, use the leavemealone command (which should be active either way) to avoid drowning.

Overall, it was a tedious achievement, and playing music helped.

I recommend doing this trophy after you have collected all of the dinosaur dossiers for the Veteran Paleontologist trophy so you can track which dinosaurs you still need. For this one you will have to spawn in every type of dinosaur using the commands below. (Thanks to WiP for finding an easier code.)

I added the names next to each to make it easier to read. You can check and see what dossiers you still need by hitting the

button which will bring you to your inventory, then press the
