I've tried this method 3 times and can't get past 117. Anyone else have issues they eventually got around?

I was unable to get this so increased the XP multiplyer on the load up menu screen, performed some tasks then BOOM, level 135. Allocated to the stats and then achievment popped.

Thank you :) I followed the walkthrough, including the bit about the updated level cap, got to 117, then did your trick of 'Ascend3', and it popped as soon as I leveled up to 135 in the next respawn :)

Brilliant PunkRawkSoldier I followed your method and changed to Primitive Plus and it worked after trying all other methods multiple times with no success.

What’s the maximum level currently? Been trying to pop this achievement for the last hour on numerous new characters with no luck. Max I can achieve atm is level 135 which should be enough to pop it..

23/09/22 Edit: finally popped it at level 190, thanks to Zk x Harambe that sent me a video with the new commands for the unlock. He also posted it as a guide below if you have the same problem I had!

Is this possible to do in single player without using console commands? I was hoping for guidance steps for unlocking the achievement while playing the game as a way to mark I did this while playing the content. Do you just have to beat all The Island bosses? Or do you need to beat the other maps and their bosses too?

I also had to play this in the cloud to get it to work with the method from @PunkRawkSolider

This one annoyed me more than it should have. Go to prime plus official and make sure you have admin logging and show creative mode on. Then create a new for the island story ark. Press LB+RB+X+Y in the pause menu. Then go into the admin menu that is now in the pause menu and type in Gmbuff and then you press admin command to run it and then unpause the game and level up your character until you get the achievement.

This worked perfectly for me, thank you for taking the time posting this solution. Thumbs up

I wasn’t able to get this to pop in Survival Evolved. I switched to Primitive Plus Official and followed the first part of your walkthrough (start new character / playercommand AbAscend3 / Skip the credits and respawn /
addexperience 1000000000000 1 0 / apply all points, this took me to level 117) and it popped straight away at level 120.

Maybe add it to your solution for anyone that is struggling to get it like I was?

To get this you now need to finish the Tek Cave Alpha to be able to reach lvl 115. . To get to the cave I used "setplayerpos -97500 -51700 46000" Then turned on god mode using "admincheat god" (no quotes needed, also turn on admincheat infinitestats for good measure!) and jumped into the volcano, the cave is easy to find at the bottom. The worst Part was typing in all the commands to get the items to open the cave! You need to get all the items for the Tek Cave ALPHA blueprint only and then put them into the door control. Also you need to be lvl 100 before you attempt this! Make sure to level up first! Console Commands and Item ID's Can all be found at http://ark.gamepedia.com/Console_Commands Once inside you simply need to run to the
end of the cave and activate the teleporter. I recommend using the console command "DestroyWildDinos" (no quotes needed) to kill all the dinosaurs! Once you get to the end and it brings you to the menu, host another single player game and select download on your previously used character. When the game loads up you should see that you can now earn more experience, use "addexperience 999999 0 0" again to finish leveling yourself to 115 and you've got the achievement! Credit to Doctor Tirohny for telling me how to raise the level cap!

gaiainruin Thank you so much, you were correct and I just got this! :)

You can summon the Alpha boss right at the start of the DLC (admincheat summon Rockwell_Character_BP_Hard_C) but I wouldn't recommend it. The entire entity of the boss with the tentacles is so huge that even in the big opening area of the Aberration DLC, the tentacles will be partially trapped in the cave walls, so you can't always kill them. I'd recommend just going to the boss arena as gaiainruin posted above and go through the terminal and kill him there.

Definitely make sure you have leavemealone active before you even go to the terminal, as there are infinitely spawning dinos there as well. In the arena, I went into slomo 6 speed and it still took me a good 25 minutes to kill him. He has really high health and as you get his health lower, the time that he's vulnerable to damage after you kill all of the tentacles gets shorter and shorter. You can use the "kill" command on the tentacles to easily kill them, but it didn't work for me on the boss himself. I had to use a ranged weapon to damage him and lower his health bar. I tried a rocket launcher but it seemed to take forever to shoot one round at him and reload, so I switched to an assault rifle as it seemed like the constant, quick fire from that did more damage overall. There's probably a better way to kill him, but that's what I wound up using. (Assault rifle is: cheat giveitemnum 2 1 0 0 and ammo is: cheat giveitemnum 246 99 0 0).

It might also be worth noting that when I did the playerpos spawn code to spawn at the terminal, it didn't spawn me there. I was high up in the sky, falling down towards the ground when I entered the code. But I turned left and went forwards a ways and got there. There are also videos on YT that easily show how to get to the terminal from the start of the DLC, and it only takes about 1 minute if you go in ghost mode and slomo 7 (I followed the one by Kamz 25).

Hope all of this helps. I just wanted to confirm that what gaiainruin said is true, and that you need to beat the Alpha boss of the Aberration DLC now. Once I did that, I did the addexperience code and it let me level up to 130, and the achievement popped instantly. :)

Edit: Just to add, on a personal note, that I don't think it's right that this achievement and therefore the completion now appears to be locked behind a $20 paywall. Just beware of this if you're planning to start ARK now, and that you'll need the Aberration DLC to fully complete the game now. :(

I can't seem to get this to work. I got to level 115 and nada...

Well I am at 115, no achievement - if 130 is the new cap, how would I raise my level cap?

So even after beating the guardians/overseer on alpha I still can’t get past 100, is there something I’m doing wrong?

Are you playing on a custom server with a hard level cap? Check your implant, it should say if you ascended or not by listing the bosses you defeated and be of a different color.

I'm having the same issue, and sadly this is the last achievement I need. I can't get past Level 100. I tried Wuffle's suggestion above, and also tried your suggestion to use addexperience/Ascension3/ addexperience. But no matter what, I never have more skill points to assign, to level up. This is from going under Host/Local, The Island (I've also tried The Center), and then Play Single Player. Not sure if there's something else to try? :/

The ascension command in the guide is incorrect - it should be written as:

playercommand Ascend3

You will then be put into an ending credit sequence and once you load up the game again, then you will be able to addexperience and level up to 115.

However, the achievement is now locked behind Aberration Ascension so you are required to beat the alpha boss on Aberration and level up to 130.

Is there a command to summon the alpha boss on aberration? Or is there a process to go through to summon and kill this other boss to raise the level cap?

I recommend having leavemealone on before going to the terminal.

Use the tributes to get into the alpha boss arena, and then kill the boss (you have to take out the tentacles first before his body is vulnerable) and then upon killing him you will ascend and then will be able to addexperience and then add the extra levels up to 130

There is a patch out today, with this line in the patch notes:

"- Made TheIsland Ascension properly give its Ascension Implant/Levels again."

Maybe this will fix the achievement so that it unlocks on the Island at level 115 again

To those who want this but do not want to purchase the DLC please see my solution. In short you need to delete your game, redownload the base game offline, and then level up offline.

That's good then, because it sounds like this might be it! :) The cheat for it is about 8 posts up from yours, in my big post about how I got it. It's in the first sentence in the first main paragraph. I fought him in the arena and I think when you beat him on Alpha, you'll get it. I think each variation only raises your level cap a certain amount, so in order to reach the max level cap of 130, you've got to beat his Alpha form. Good luck! :)

Ohh no thats the code i used ☹️ it might be coz i spawned two at the start accidently and couldnt kill them, so i then moved to its base and killed one there? Ill try it tonight with a new character. I also spawned directly in its base which might affect it?

Same as @ItsNotBryan, tried repeatedly, won't unlock.

It still works, follow the guide, but you have to do the addexperience 1000000000000 1 0 twice. The first time it takes you to level 117, the second time it takes you to 135. I guess they increased the max level in the recent update.

This doesn't work anymore - not sure if it has anything to do with the Extinction DLC they just released...

@SuperRobZilla the only way to copy and paste to the xbox is to use the smartglass app to control the keyboard, that will allow you to copy/paste using your phone/tablet.

@LAZY SHIKAMARUX, same here. As of 12/18/2017, I've tried using the codes to get to 100, then ascending to 115. That didn't work so I tried with another character but that time I manually (as per Wuffles comment) ascended by killing all the guardians on Alpha, then the Overseer as well to make sure I was getting the 15 level bonus. I have a feeling that the new expansion might have nullified the exp code or altered the requirements but I don't have it to try and test that theory. Unfortunate but ARK is a good game so I might try them all out in the future.

This is bullshit! I've beaten the boss on the Aberration dlc but it still won't level me up! It levelled me up to 117 :/

@TitianDan Did you beat his Alpha variation? Not sure if it's the issue here, but I know Rockwell has 3 variations: Gamma (easy), Beta (medium) and Alpha (hard). You've got to beat the Alpha Rockwell to level up to 130. However, if you've done Alpha Rockwell and it's still not letting you, then I'm not sure, sorry. :(

Ah ok. I think it's likely because you had two spawned at the start and left them when you went to kill the one at the base then... :) When I first started the fight, he glitched when he spawned and wouldn't attack me. So I spawned another one which spawned right over the first one. I killed the second one but didn't get the achievement. I figured it might be because one was still standing there, alive. But he was glitched and wouldn't take damage. So I started it all over and just spawned one, and that's the one I killed and got the achievement with. I'm not sure if spawning directly in the base would affect it, that might be ok. But definitely don't have more than one active/alive at a time. That also kept the achievement from popping for me. Try it again with just one Alpha boss, and I think that should work. :)
