How to unlock the Perfect Explorer achievement in ARK: Survival Evolved - Definitive Guide

To make this nice and simple, pause the game, enable the console (cn_LB+cn_RB+cn_X+cn_Y) and type GiveAllExplorerNotes. After this make sure you click on the Admin Command button next to the text box.

The game may freeze for quite a while, but leave it running and eventually it will sort itself out and your achievement(s) will unlock.

I have done this today, so I can confirm it currently works.

Edit: YODA12320 has informed me that it works on the Windows version as long as your game is up to date.

Edit 2: From PsiScream - “I originally had the same issue as jotg05. If Perfect Explorer is your last one and it's not popping, try this. Quit ARK, go to manage game and addons, scroll down to saved data, highlight and click your profile - choose 'delete everywhere'. Beware - this will delete all your saved data locally and in the cloud for this game. Then launch ARK, scroll to the very top of the middle column, and select 'delete all singleplayer data' and then 'delete dedicated server data'. Then launch the Island and use the code. This finally worked for me after 3 previous failed attempts.“ - Hope this helps some of you who haven’t managed to unlock it.

Edit 3: From VengefulRonin - “I had the same issue of being stuck at 60% on a PC install. I uninstalled the game, then ran it via Cloud Gaming on the Xbox app for my PC and unlocked the remaining achievements on the first GiveAllExplorerNotes command.”

Mine was a bit glitchy - I had a wireless keyboard and mouse plugged in to do the typing, and I had to restart the game to get it to recognise the keyboard, then had to click 'disable keyboard and mouse' in the start/esc menu to get it to recognise the controller so I could hit LB RB X Y, then click 'enable keyboard and mouse' so I could type in the code. Then it glitched after doing all of the notes achievements except the last one (perfect explorer / 100% of notes), so I restarted the console and the game (twice) and finally did the above steps again, did the code and hit 'admin command' and... nothing again, so I typed the command again, and hit admin command again, and... it finally froze the menu and the last achievement popped...! Lol! I guess that is the price to pay for such a powerful shortcut! :D Thanks for posting OP!

CRASHING ISSUE SOLVED AFTER EXPERIENCING IT.

I followed guides and advice from: Viridisx13, Jokopoko, Maka91 and Venks Venkatesh so credit goes to them.

First thing to do is delete all save data including reserve save data so you have a fresh start at this Achievement guide then load the game.

From the main menu:

Host/Local – Check “Adming Logging” and “Show Player Map Location” in General settings.

Choose map The Island, and start Single Player Game

Create any character

In game:

Turn off Motion Blur in settings. Save & Exit.

Pause the game. Press X + Y + LB + RB (at the same time) to open admin commands.

GiveAllExplorerNotes

*MY GAME ALWAYS CRASHED AT THIS POINT AFTER BETWEEN 5 AND 15 SECONDS OF UNLOCKING ONLY UP TO 40% OF THE NOTES. I WAS THEN SENT BACK TO MY XBOX DASHBOARD*

Load the game again and from the main menu:

Host/Local, start single player and continue your game using the same created character/game which had just previously crashed.

Pause the game. Press X + Y + LB + RB (at the same time) to open admin commands.

Enter command: setplayerpos 327200 -332000 -43000.

You will then spawn under water and in front of a box which has a collectable note. Collect it, look at it and then resume game under water, not moving for a good few seconds.

Finally pause the game and enter the command: GiveAllExplorerNotes.

At this point I finally unlocked the remaining 50-100% Notes instantly without any game freeze, glitches or crashes.

Just tried this as I only needed the last 3 notes from the Genesis Season Pass (Didn't want to pay £26 for it) and can confirm it works screen froze up for about 3 Minutes, then the chieve popped. Great find. clap

Rounding back on this to confirm this indeed work for Xbox One. I hit the 90% achievement pretty quickly and then it sat there for a solid 2 minutes before the 100% achievement popped.

Just as an aside (and possibly worth putting in) click on Admin Command after entering the code 😅

Although my console softlocked; the achievements all popped one after another including Veteran Paleontologist and this one on the console becoming accessible once more; although crashing the game to exit.

Now I just need Cure-all and Master Zoologist 🤙

Wow, thanks so much for this! Worked great, though I couldn't get it to pop with my Win10 version, I had to delete all saves on both the Win10 and XB versions...started a new game on my XB and it popped a few seconds after entering the admin command.

Windows 10 here. I installed the 72gb update now, got into the game and put the code, brake for 3 minutes and returned to normal, all the notes, including the last 3 of the Genesis DLC were there, but the achievement did not appear. I deleted the save, created another one and tried again, and the same thing happened. I restarted the computer, deleted the save, created another one and it's also the same.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just an FYI that I didn't bother downloading this and it worked on Project xCloud as well — and it still froze but only for less than 30 seconds since multiple Xbox GPUs are running in the cloud wink

Doing this crashed my game and sent me back to the dashboard, but all the achievements still unlocked. Guess it just saved me the trouble of closing out the game myself haha.

I was able to get every achievement except this one on Win10. Fresh install and everything was up to date. Installed the game on Xbox and entered the command and it unlocked right away.

For those of you stuck at a certain percentage, you can manually unlock individual notes with the command GiveExplorerNote #. The # representing whichever number note you want unlocked.
If you want a foolproof way to unlock all the achievements, you can also unlock the notes one by one this way.

To our Playstation-owning friends, this detail is particularly helpful since using the GiveAllExplorerNotes command on PS4 leads to the game crashing entirely before all trophies are awarded.

Confirming this still works, but I had to delete my data after doing it the first time. I think it unlocks so many at once the first time that some systems are not catching up and unlocking this last one. So, nope, you still don't need the DLC at this time! April 10 2020

I was having problems in Win10. Not only was unable to unlock further than 80% but I had to uninstall the game after the code because it stopped popping any achievement. Each time I tried GiveAllExplorerNotes I had to unistall the game so other achievements would pop.

Fixed like the others above: installed the game on Xbox, open it up, deleted the save game in all locations, stated a new game and enter the code. 80%, 90%, 100% and All Achievements popped!

The PsiScream edit helped.

YOU must delete your local/cloud saved data in order to get this again on a new save. Follow the instructions if you've been duped by the win 10 version.

Hey guys so I cannot get the other Explorer Notes achievements to unlock no matter what I do. I am missing several of them. I have tried everything. I tried deleting my local game save, cloud save, in game saves, restarting my console, deleting the game completely and nothing works. I have also clicked on the game to make sure that the achievements were not actually unlocked like some games do. No luck. Any ideas?

So, im still missing the 90% and 100%... it seems from me playing about that the devs have released an update and i believe its killed the code for getting all the notes.

I could be wrong but but when I put the code in it only appears to unlock the dossiers! cant seem to find a way to unlock it as of yet!

I am not sure if that is the case. Because my friend did this game just days before me and did the exact same thing and got all the achievements in the game no problem. Also I am having trouble with all the achievements related to Explorer Notes for 50% and above. If something did happen I think we would see some kind of pattern. As in we would both have the same amount of missing achievements.

I have literally tried everything on my end. I even downloaded the game to my Windows 10 computer and tried it again with no luck. I have cleared all my saves dozens of times and the achievements will just not trigger.

My game crashed 5 achievements into the Giveallexplorernotes command. Ive deleted ALL game data & tried again SEVERAL times, but the command always crashes the game & never gives the rest of the achievements... What can I do? So I was stuck on 40% as well. This is how I solved it:

1. Deleted all save data including the reserved space data.
2. In game deleted all single player and server data.
3. Start fresh character and ran the code.
4. As before only gave me the Taxonomy notes.
5. Ran an admin command to move to Helen's first note and picked it up.
6. Ran the explorer note admin command again and all remaining achievements popped.

Do exactly as Jokopoko says, do the command to unlock all notes, another command to Helen’s first note and whilst the note is in your hand do another command for all notes again.

Thank you very much, your workaround worked perfectly for me as well. As soon as I got all the achievements the game conveniently crashed as if it knew those missing achievements were the only thing keeping it on my hard drive.

Reading all comments and here is how to unlocked the rest if you only unlock 5 achievements typing GiveAllExplorerNotes.

1 type: cheat setplayerpos 327200 -332000 -43000
2: open the box and pickup the book.
3 type: GiveAllExplorerNotes. Done Achievement Unlocked

Playing on PC, and I've tried all of this a bunch of times but I can't get the last one for 100%. Thought I'd try on Xbox, but I'm getting the "Installation Stopped" error on there. AAARRRGHH
Edit: Fixed my Xbox, waited 4 hours for the game to download, success thanks to @RSpecialized. Followed their method exactly, taking my time to wait for the game to freeze and crash.

So I was having an issue where this only unlocked the first 40%, and no matter how many times I used the code it wouldn't unlock the last 6 achievements. After clearing my data, how I got it to work was I started a new save and used the code, but again that only unlocked some of the "Helena" notes, the rest all still had locks over their icons. I put it in a few of the base codes and manually unlocked 4 notes, (I think only 1 is needed, so use "cheat setplayerpos 327200 -332000 -43000" and then open the chest), and then used the "GiveAllExplorerNotes" code. The remaining 6 achievements unlocked and my game promptly crashed.
If anyone was having a similar issue to me, hopefully this helps some.

Giving my experience.

First, I don't play this game at all but it certainly looks like I have all the various notes and such when looking in inventory.

Having used the GiveAllExplorerNotes code pre & post patch from Oct 2020, the first time I got (Oct 4th):

Beginner, Experienced, Adventurous, Studious & Veteran Paleontologist

Oct 8th, ran: GiveAllExplorerNotes again and got:

Expert, Adept, Professional & Veteran Explorer

Still haven't got Master or Perfect.

Any advice would be appreciated

I couldn't get the 90% and 100% achievements to unlock, so I tried a combination of PsyScream's and daquijones1980's recommendations, and that did it for me. I also did it on console - I tried this on Win10 first and most achievements wouldn't unlock there. So if you're stuck, make sure you're playing on console, delete your save data, and make sure you run the code twice with a trip to pick up the first note in between the two code entries.

It doesn't seem to be working for me, on Windows. At first I followed the walkthrough and got everything except 80%, 90%, 100%.

I tried reinstalling the app, deleting all the save data from App settings, deleting save data inside game. Also tried using code, teleport to place, use code again. I got 80% to pop, but not the last 2. cry

not working for me... last achievement needed for game. Couldn't get it before because I didn't have Genesis and was missing the last notes. Used code, I've restarted game, tried the clear save data and fresh start posted by Pennywise. No achievement still

I've uninstalled & reinstalled the game a few times, still can't get this one. I'm reinstalling again with Genesis to see if that helps.

EDIT: Last month I couldn't get the last 3 achievements. I installed it with Genesis today and got it in a few minutes. facepalm

I couldnt get all of them while playing native, then xcloud for pc saved the day. I just entered the giveallexplorernotes code (no teleporting needed) and the remaining cheevos popped and crashed the poor thing. :) Thanks for the tip | VultUx | !!

Wish I could upvote the comments. I had the same issue of being stuck at 60% on a PC install. I uninstalled the game, then ran it via Cloud Gaming on the Xbox app for my PC and unlocked the remaining achievements on the first GiveAllExplorerNotes command.

Thank you. I almost purchased the recent DLC several times but didn't, as i believed there would a method to get this done. And look, there was and always has been. It just took a bit of 'time'.

PS, the game froze for almost 5 minutes before it unlocked, but it did unlock. Be patient and don't turn off the game otherwise it may glitch.

can confirm 27/08/2020 that delete everywhere method works. keep in mind that my achievements did not unlock on windows 10 with console commands. as soon as you spawned type cheat setplayerpos 327200 -332000 -43000, pick it up, and then type giveallexplorernotes

I never started this game after I learned you had to buy the DLC, but I jumped on it now! All 11 achievements popped in a matter of less than 30 seconds (I'm on an X1X). Thanks!

NOTE: The game's menu never seemed to load after I used the aforementioned admin code. All 11 achievements popped (wonderful!) but every time I'd start the game and select "START", the game would sit there saying "Loading..." in the bottom-right corner. I figured out that deleting my game save from "everywhere" (cloud and local) seemed to fix the issue.

I just want to confirm the code worked (Xbox) and I am glad I rewaited on attempting this achievement because I tried twice and it glitched both times ... It took a bit to pop (somewhere in the 5-10 minutes maybe?), then another few minutes before my game was responsive again.

Thanks for this!! I literally re-installed it just to give this a go (and it lined up with the Xbox Game Pass Quest haha Win/Win)

GiveAllExplorerNotes failed for me as well in the PC version. The achievements unlocked up until 80% of the notes. I tried restarting, deleting character, resetting the app, ... nothing helped.

Then I tried to use the GiveExplorerNote {#id} with a new character where I would increase the ids from 1 to ... I could follow my progress on the percentage of found notes with the unlocks of costumes. But alas, no achievements came with the costumes connected to 90 and 100%. I continued a little further to be sure but stopped unsuccessfully at explorer note id 506.

I hope your right and it hasn't been patched out. I've also tried multiple times on both 1X and Win10 to unlock from scratch having deleted my saves. I think they release an update a few days ago which made me think they may have changed it.

After the first time i tried the code on Win10 it unlocked all but 90%, 100%, Veteran Paleontologist and Apex predator. I tried the code on 1X and it unlocked the Veteran paleontologist and Apex predator...
Since then whenever i put the code in on either platform, the game freezes for about 5 seconds before bringing up the Notes screen which will be blank. After i exit it and come back onto the page all of the notes are still padlocked except i have the Dino Dossiers unlocked (though they have a blank square in the middle).

Only thing i haven't tried yet is a complete delete and reinstall. Might have to give that a try!

make sure to pick up the note you find

Everything should unlock, and most likely crash your game (did for me) after

I keep trying this on windows 10 but nothing's still popping. I would try it on my xbox but the smartglass is so buggy with me that I can't type it at all on ARK because it recognizes it as Forza Street. is everyone who's getting this achievement using W10 or the xbox one?

EDIT: I figured it out on my xbox, had another controller's usb plugged in and had to unplug it. everything worked

I had tried it before on the Windows version and as others it didn't work, now (10/31/2021) I tried it with the xCloud version "ARK: Survival Evolved Explorer Edition" and it worked on the first try.

I was having difficulty with this for ages... unusually I didn't go straight to the bottom and read that comment which is something I normally do.

I can confirm I was not able to get this on a PC install.

However, after launching through Cloud Gaming on the same PC, I got 'Perfect Explorer' and 'Veteran Paleontologist' within 10 seconds of creating a new game/character by only using the GiveAllExplorerNotes command.

**UPDATE**THIS HAS TO BE DONE ON THE MAP 'THE ISLAND'. For those of you missing a note try AlphaSignal's suggestion in the comments below, tell him thanks if that's the one you're missing.
'There is a new explorer note from "???" at the back of the arena in which you fight the Overseer. Once I picked that up, the achievement unlocked.

I don't know if there's an easy console command, but once you get to the Overseer, you should be able to find this note pretty straight forward'

UPDATE: The 'kill' command MAY OR MAY NOT work on bosses to get the dossier, give it a try and if it doesn't here is a god mode command and a rocket launcher. Use 'LeaveMeAlone' - god mode, enemies ignore you, infinite stats so you don't die just in case. Make the game mode EASY and here's a Rocket launcher and ammo if you want them. ALSO thanks to FTV Leviathan and Danno Omen for posting this in the comments.

AFTER using the walk through a month or so ago on TA, I used that site and these are the codes I personally had to enter to get the 100%. If you followed the walk through it should be the same for you. IF you're missing one(You have a blank spot) just look at the site if you can't figure it out. It's all alphabetical so it's easy.

Finally found missing piece i was missing....

With new update there is a 4th boss which is the overseer ( end game..i think) you cant spawn it in ( that i know of) but here is what i used to get to it

Anybody have a solution to how to get the overseer hologram to unlock? I've killed it with a rocket after going through the Tek Cave and even force spawned it outside on the beach after reaching ascension but still no luck. It's the only one I'm missing too so any help would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks

UPDATE: Deleted my data, restarted, and did it all again in one run. Worked out and was able to get it to unlock 2nd time around. When I quit out and restarted a short time later however, I noticed all my dossiers were locked yet again so very happy to have got this out of the way. Hope it's just an interface issue though since I still have my outfits, trophies, stats, and exact location saved accordingly

i've found all notes from the Island map from the Original game, without mods or some others:
Helena - 30/30
Rockwell - 29/29
Mei Yin - 31/31
Nerva - 30/30
Got all dossiers from all specimens (base game) on the Island map
Got 5 "???" Notes #1, #4, #7, #10, #13
And all of the Boss ones including Overseer, but i still haven't got the achievement
Can someone help me? I've just tried a lot of things to unlock this hell but can't. I'm feeling a little bit sad cause i thought that i'll make 100% achivements but i guess is not longer available cause as i know the Genesis Season Pass added more 3 notes in the island but i don't have the genesis season pass, so i don't have the pet required for the notes to appear and be collectable. Can i get the "Perfect Explorer" achivement without doing these requirements? Or i'm trapped in 99% of achievement progression forever until i buy the 35 dollar season pass?

Just a side note to any of you like me who got the achievements when some of the logs weren't required. Now the following are also required amongst the above to unlock the 100% and are now available:

cheat setplayerpos 165599 212800 -12500 (Helena Note 18)
cheat setplayerpos -81999 -185599 1499 (Mei Yin 15)

Im noting these as I had the game completed once the all notes was unlockable and did not have these specific ones still when the achievement popped like most others it seems. These weren't in the game once it was completable so may be an obscurity as they haden't been added to the game, but im sure there are more of you that were like me in completing the game.

no the scorched earth are not. I've personally never touched it. I'd recommend going though the page that has all the collectibles and seeing if there's a missing dossier or note from anything if there isnt there maybe a bug or it could be glitchy

The new achievements seem to be a bit buggy, I unlocked it retroactively since I had got all the notes before the update and this achievement did unlock along with the ones beneath it except for 30% which says 100% done but has not unlocked.

I've noticed in other games that if it says 100% in the 'snap mode' you can just go to achievements fullscreen and go to the gqame they usually pop. That happened for me on DBZ2 and One piece for the get all achievements ones.

For anyone that hasnt got this to pop. i had my dossier filled and it didnt pop either. Went and killed the bosses in there habitat and i got it since i was missing the dragon boss dossier and since the boss dossiers dont show up in the list you wont know your missing one. So if you have everything go back to each boss spot and re kill the bosses. If you dont kill them in their habitat you wont get there dossier.

ok I just unlocked it. You do not have to fight the bosses in their arena to receive the dossier. However, you do need to kill them yourself and not by using a kill command. thanks everyone for their input

I used these codes to spawn in the bosses and kill them for my last three dossiers, maybe it will be useful to someone else.

cheat summon dragon_character_bp_boss_hard_c
cheat summon gorilla_character_bp_hard_c
cheat summon spiderl_character_bp_hard_c

If you're having trouble killing the boss you can change the value to easy in the code, the boss has to be killed by you to award the dossier.

Since the kill command doesn't work for bosses anymore and that's the only way to get the dossier (It use to at least when i did it) use 'leavemealone' god mode, enemies ignore you, infinite stats so you don't die just in case.

And ill add the command prompt to open the window for people that don't know to the solution.

Not sure what im missing i followed the guide as mentioned above....got all explorer notes, all dossier and beat the bosses (guardian) i did notice a possible 4th boss on the island
..maybe this is stopping me from getting the achievement any other ideas as im stumped....this is also 1 of 2 acheivements im missing

Kill works on the Overseer. You have to do it several times on each form.

Cheating straight to the teleporter works as well. No need to take the long way.

Of note: how to spawn the Overseer... once you teleport in, turn around and go all the way down the hall. You can turn on "slomo 3" or something to speed up the run down that long hallway.

When I played and got the achievement, I didn't need the DLC that may have changed but not entirely sure. There should be a menu that shows which you're missing/have which if i remember correctly was alphabetical. I no longer have the game so I can't check that.

There is a new explorer note from "???" at the back of the arena in which you fight the Overseer. Once I picked that up, the achievement unlocked.

I don't know if there's an easy console command, but once you get to the Overseer, you should be able to find this note pretty straight forward

Actually got the console code to teleport me to the note for the overseer, still couldn’t get him to spawn though. The notes locations still are not working for me. Was on PC, I’m going to try them on console later.

i also want to add that if you spawn the bosses and the "kill" command doesn't work... I lowered their health with a few rocket shots and then tried to do the kill command again and it seemed to work on both the gorilla and the dragon! I already had the spider unlocked so I never tested it there yet.

It's been over a year since I completed this game and got the achievement. I have added that it has to be 'the island' map.

I am having a huge problem with the overseer... I've killed it 3 times and not collected any sort of note from it... anyone have any ideas? I tried killing it with commands and by hand and with and without leavemealone activated

Not sure but this worked for me (1/21/19).
Had all the notes and creature descriptions. Beat the three main bosses (gorilla, spider, dragon) using "kill" and via rocket launcher (… anyone else notice it takes a LOT of shots and you have to spawn many launchers as they break?).

Anyhow, summoned the Overseer boss as Gottle noted on 2/10/18 except "kill didn't seem to work. Used the rocket launcher and it popped right after the kill.

Thank you @Gottle for the boss kill method. I tried to activate the Ark door normally but the area behind it did not load. I assume you'd need to buy the DLC for that! I had to fight the overseer in complete darkness as well, didn't really know what's going on but kept spamming "kill" until the rewards popped up.

As far as the rocket launcher strat, well, I never spawned one and still got my 100%.

I found this code on a youtube video by Scorpion Gaming to spawn the Overseer anywhere:

I had to use the kill command a few times and my world glitched pretty badly but I was able to pop the achievement after it was killed.

So when you kill Overseer are we looking for something like a hologram card? I've killed him a few times now and haven't got anything, but I cant check the rest of the explorer journal entries in case i missed one of the other logs because its glitched.

Edit Important (I think): I never got anything from the overseer but followed the link in the solution and that page has updated to have more logs for Helena, Rockwell, Mei Yin and unknown ???. Achievement popped after collecting these. I think there was an update around 07/03/19 so that may be why.

@ D3imis I would suggest comparing all notes/dossiers to the link provided and see whats missing. I haven't played this game since I completed it 2 years ago. If someone can provide better feedback as to what you're missing they are more likely right then I am at this point. The link however is updated to recent updates of the game.

well the game forced me to make a new survivor after collecting all items, except for overseer. Aftter, i went in and i saw they were still unlocked but there was a box in the middle of it. and all boxes were closed but when i walked over them again, they only opened but didn't show me the scroll opening since i already had them. I then did the overseer defeat and still nothing. I heard this may be unobtainable without the new DLC since new things were being added? i wonder if that's in fact the case? I did see three ? marks on items i could not get into

OK what's the latest on this?
Heres what I've done.
- Got everything file/note in the guide on story walk through and title update.
- Killed the 4 bosses, this includes the overseer and collecting that tablet thingy from all 4.
- I opened a single note in the overseer arena that looked different to all the others. I think it listed as Explorer note #1... But I couldn't find it in my inventory. My inventory looks full of collectibles but I don't have this one...

Anything obvious that I'm missing?

These coordinates just take me to a empty black area and I can't move, ghost, or fly. And two of the locations actually kill me, even with god mode activated and infinitestats. Also, the location command for the overseer doesn't work and neither does the spawn code.

After purchase the Genesis Season Pass you get Exclusive HLN-A cosmetic pet.
Equip it and teleport the following location.

dam. i thought i read this somewhere and i was stuck. Found there were 3 ? marks in the data tab, and here it is. The thing which stops my completion.

How does equiping that help? Does it allow you to walk properly on these areas? I found 2/3 of the boxes, gave up on the 3rd because i couldn't open them any way.

I have the HLNA 1 and 2 no problem thanks but the 3rd one on the island meant to be in snow cave does not do anything when I spawn I also can't find the entrance to the snow cave to even go and have a run around.

my game just keeps giving me notes and not giving me any achievements or freezing or anything... I'm sure I have cloud saves that I can't seem to delete however so if anyone knows how I do that it would be awesome.
EDIT... my bad... when you delete game data make sure you click your gamer icon, not just delete at the top and it gives you the choice to delete all data from everywhere.

Isn't it actually illegal for them to force you to buy that for vanilla achievements? I know Destiny 2 had to make a low level Nightfall because the one Nightfall achievement was locked behind DLC at one point.

Lies! Confirming this still works w/o the DLC, but I had to delete my data after doing it the first time. I think it unlocks so many at once the first time that some systems are not catching up and unlocking this last one. So, nope, you still don't need the DLC at this time! April 10 2020

Go to a single player game.
Press cn_start to pause the game. Press cn_LBcn_RBcn_Xcn_Y simultaneously to enable the admin cheatcode input.
Do the following codes (pressing 'Admin Command with cn_A after each code):

You will also need three things from the bosses. When you summon them, wait a few seconds, aim at their middle, and then use the cheat command kill.

The dragon boss: cheat summon dragon_character_bp_boss_easy_c
The spider boss: cheat summon spiderl_character_bp_easy_c
The gorilla boss: cheat summon gorilla_character_bp_easy_c

If you don't get an item from the boss that shows on the collectible screen, just input the code and kill again. Sometimes it doesn't pop the collectible for some reason so you may need to do it multiple times.

SOLUTION FOR EXPLORER NOTE ACHIEVEMENT NOT UNLOCKING:

1. Run the initial GiveAllExplorerNotes via admin console. Only granted me all the taxonomy notes, stuck at 40% achievement.
2. Run admincheat setplayerpos -43200 -199200 -3800 via admin console and pick up the Helena note there.
3. Run GiveAllExplorerNotes again after collecting the Helena note and all remaining achievements popped.

Start a new single player game on The Island, pause and bring up console command by pressing these altogether cn_L1cn_R1cn_Scn_T.

Now type in the following 1 by 1 facepalmfacepalm. Make sure to back out and look at each one to save.

GiveExplorerNote 1-702.

GiveExplorerNote 853-872.

GiveExplorerNote 878-1013.

Then type in GiveAllExplorerNotes and wait around 10/15 minutes.

These are the only codes I could find to work and by doing this your game won't crash as there will be only 66 collectables to get.

Did you follow the solution as if there are to many collectables its going to crash, had the same issue but this worked first time for me and i did it 5 times before this 😩😩😩😩

im not too sure what to tell you except use these codes and try to get some naturally maybe, this worked first time for me after experiencing the stupid crashing numerous times myself.

it is a pain in the whole trophy and most of the collectables i was missing was from the dlc portions which i dont have and im not sure if you need to be on those maps to collect naturally, and ive went through everyone of these codes and even past by over a 100 and they were the only ones that worked, and there inst much info online about getting them either.

Pls. add following to your solution:
1: Never use the command GiveAllExplorerNotes by playing on PS 5
2: Put in all commands up to 1215 manually (That’s we’re I found the Epilog from ??? needed for the island) and don’t forget 0

Would you mind elaborating how you got this? If I’m reading correctly, I simply GiveExploreNote 0-1215? My game crashes every 50-75 notes, but loads back up on the note I left off.. have deleted my save about 20 times and attempted to follow several YouTube guides on how to get this one (on Ps5) but according to almost every source , I should have gotten it after 0-355, 680-700, and 850-860. Have tried this about 20 times haha. Just don’t want to waste my time typing 1200 codes for nothing.

I was stuck on trying to get this Trophy for almost a week, using so many different guides and such, nothing was working. Thank you so much, this allowed me to move on and get the "Master Zoologist" Trophy as well, cleaning up what I had left and giving me that Shiny Plat (as well as the 100%) Thanks again, worked wonders

You will get this trophy after picking up 221 unique explorer notes, dinosaur dossiers, and killing the ascension boss. In addition to the Explorer Notes, you will also need to collect all 101 of the dinosaur dossiers for the Veteran Paleontologist trophy and 4 Boss Dossiers.

There are 120 explorer notes that are scattered all around the map. Thankfully you can use cheat commands to teleport to their locations. Below is the huge list of admin commands but I have broken them up into sections to make it easier to read. You only need to type the setplayerpos, then the coordinates in order to teleport. I added the names next to each to make it easier to read. You can check and see what notes you still need by pressing , which will bring you to your inventory. Now press the and you will be taken to the notes list.

To make collecting easier, use the following commands:

leavemealone

This will make you immune to all damage in case you fall into lava and this will also make it so dinosaurs are not hostile towards you so they won't get in your way.

Notes:

1: If you can't move after teleporting to one of the locations, then you can use the admin command:

ghost

This will allow you to move through walls and fly around the map. Press to fly up but to get out of ghost mode, use the admin command:

walk

This will allow you to walk around like normal.

2: You can also use a USB keyboard to enter in codes if you find that to be easier than using the PS4 controller.

Once you get all Dino Dossier's and all the explorer notes, you will need to get the 4 additional Boss Dossiers. Before you kill the Overwatch (i.e. the final boss), you first need to kill all three of the regular bosses (The spider, The Gorilla and The dragon) but you can do this on the sunny beaches of the Island if you want. Simply spawn them with the following commands:

DRAGON BOSS - cheat summon dragon_character_bp_boss_easy_c
GORILLA BOSS - cheat summon gorilla_character_bp_easy_c
SPIDER BOSS - cheat summon spiderl_character_bp_easy_c

Now use the kill command (type) 'kill' to wipe them out.

Use the following commands to get the applicable notes from the Gensis DLC (credit to Onechien for this info):

Important! Before completing the trophy, it is recommended to complete Maximum Survivor , so as not to subsequently lose your character and achievement progress.

Tested in version v523.0. Currently there are 221 notes and dossiers to open, 4 boss dossiers, and one note from ??? . Performed on the map The Island.

To avoid losing your character, start completing the trophy by receiving a note that is in the room with the boss Overseer , and a dossier on the boss himself.

Commands are entered on a local server (single player or dedicated server).
In order to call the command line, you need to pause the game and press the combination L1+R1+ +
GCM - Creative mod.
GMBUFF - Immortality and invisibility.
setplayerpos 216800 -239300 -115500 - Takes you to the room with the boss, after taking a couple of steps the script for the appearance of the Overseer will start, at this moment you run to the end of the room (closer to the boss) and on the left on the floor take a note from ??? (glows blue), then kill the boss with the Kill command (it won’t die with one command, repeat until ready). After Ascension, the character must have an open file on the Overseer and a note from ??? .
summon spiderl_character_bp_easy_c - Summons the Foremother. Kill for the dossier.
summon gorilla_character_bp_easy_c - Summons Megapithecus. Kill .
summon dragon_character_bp_boss_easy_c - Summons a Dragon. Kill .
If the kill doesn't count. After the boss appears, let him run a little (10-30 seconds).

We collect the remaining 221 using the setplayerpos command and entering coordinates.
Coordinates: Admin positions list (The Island) , we are interested in the Dossiers & Explorer Notes Locations on the Island section. All progress can be tracked in the character menu ( ), selecting the notes section and marking those that interest you.

For the trophy you need: all the diary of the pioneers from the island + notes about all creatures + cards of the dragon, spider queen, megapithecus and warden.

If you can't get this trophy according to the guide. Try this. When GiveExplorerNote 0 to 355, 688, 689, 690 and 850-860 has been entered, enter the command: playercommand Ascend1
Perhaps after it the trophy will fall out. Personally, I did from 0 to 800 + 850-860, nothing helped, and I was already completely desperate, but after the command to ascend, the trophy fell out.

The admin team solves the problem, but the console does not take out and does not have time to recognize all the notes for the trophy, I tried it on PS5 and yes the trophy dropped 100%, the game still crashed

For those who have already entered GiveExplorerNote from 1 to 350 , as well as 688-689-690 , found the Dossier on the Overseer and a note from ???

I was missing one dinosaur dossier (try GiveExplorerNote 0 )

and 5 HLN-A for the Island map . using the input method, I found them in the range 850-860. I won’t give a 100% guarantee, but I got the trophy after them

PS. after 400 I decided to go from the end (around 1020) in reverse order. and received the trophy having reached 850, when exactly these 5 KHLN-A appeared in the documents

I found a new method online, it’s a little buggy, so it doesn’t get the notes up to 100%; in my case, it got up to 90%. But I hope that together we will solve the problem. It saves a lot of time.

!!! Attention!!! Before use, be sure to make a copy of your saves to the cloud or to a flash drive.
I'll explain what the problem is. When you enter the GiveAllExplorerNotes code, all notes and dossiers are immediately opened, and there are more than 600 of them... Because of this, the game freezes and turns off. But first you will get some achievements. For example, 60% of my notes were counted. That is, you will receive a certain number of trophies, which is already nice.

Now, in order to get to 90% (this is in my case, you may even get to 100%), enter the code GiveExplorerNote 1 and the first note will open.
Enter GiveExplorerNote 2 and the second note opens
Enter GiveExplorerNote 3 ........
And so on until GiveExplorerNote 350
And another 688, 689, 690.
At this stage I have received 90% of the notes (although it should be 100%)
