How to unlock the Your first day... achievement in ARK: Survival Evolved - Definitive Guide

Choose host/local and start a new single player game. Press start and press LB + RB+ X + Y to open the admin command box. In the Admin Command box type in "cheat settimeofday 06:30:00". That will make it the next morning and the achievement should pop after a minute or two.

How do you start a new single player game? And where is the Admin Command box? I see options like "Join Ark" and server selections.. very confusing

Edit: I figured out that to start a single player game you must choose "HOST \ LOCAL" and then you must choose Single Player game.

You have to press X, Y, LB and RB to activate the admin panel. That would have been useful to know. Thankfully the site has a walkthrough.

After pressing start: press LB+RB+X+Y simultaneously to open the admin menu above the pause menu. Navigate up and select the box to enter admin commands

@skittlebiz yeah I was looking all over the internet to figure out how to open the menu. On Xbox they make you press the LB+RB+X+Y rather than keep the admin commands open all the time.

I am playing on the pc, but with a controller. pressing those 4 buttons simultaneously is not working. is there any difference to the buttons I should be pressing if I am playing on the PC?

doesn't seem to work for me, tried it several times on a few saves, just resets the time of day but doesn't pop the achievement

After the cheat I added the command “cheat settimeofday 12:30:00” and then back “cheat settimeofday 06:30:00” got the achievement

Time is paused when you enter the admin commands. I've been hitting cn_A to activate the command, then immediately pressing cn_B to exit the pause menu.

This trophy should come naturally, whilst going for the rest of the trophies. Simply survive one day and night cycle without dying, which is super easy with God Mode enabled.
