"Knives" are only available in Adventure Mode. You throw them either left or right by holding

. Knives are rare so you should farm kills with the ones in level 6, 7 and 9. It's also worth mentioning that Bats cannot be killed by knives, and you will also need to lose all your lives to register your kills.
