This is a random event that can occur when you enter a stone circle, which we believe this is most likely to happen if you use a spell card just before walking into the circle. Due to this we therefore advise for you to pick one of the Bear Clan and equip the ring which gives extra magic in forests at dawn, because then you give yourself the most amount of magic to spend on spell cards each turn. So simply find a spot on the map where you can keep walking in and out of stone circles, and avoid rot. If you wish (and have a lot of patience) you can keep reloading a new game untill you get a board with a stone circle near your original spawn to make this spot easier for yourself.
