How to unlock the Dark Side of the Worm achievement in Armello - Definitive Guide
The hardest part for this achievement is becoming corrupted (rot level 5) early in the game. It really depends on luck because you need nearby Bane's, cards with rot penalties, or perils with rot lose conditions.
Start the game by intentionally losing to Bane's. You can do this by using damage cards on yourself before a fight or burning useless cards during a fight so that you lose dice. You gain one rot each time a Bane kills you. You can also gain rot by using rot cards or losing to rot perils intentionally. Spells seem to have the most rot cards.
Once you real rot level 5 you become corrupted which means killing a Bane or corrupted creature will give you 1 rot level as well. When you fight other corrupted creatures, it becomes a rot battle. The creature with the highest rot gains one die for each level of rot the other creature has. This means that once you get to rot level 6 or so, Bane's become super easy to kill.
Now just continue farming Bane's and rot cards until you reach rot level 13. This is also sets you up for a rot victory. Just get a higher rot level than the king and fight him. You'll get around 8 dice. Just be sure to survive the fight with him. If you die it becomes a regular prestige victory for whoever ever has the most prestige (not you since you just attacked the king).

What makes this a smidge easier is equipping the Rot amulet (earned from winning 1 Rot victory) so that you start at +2 Rot.
According to the Armello Wiki, the deck with the highest rate of Rot causing cards (either by cost or effect) is the Items deck, so doing a high Wits character with a Wit ring and Rot amulet will help you cycle it faster.
Sana is great for this due to her hero power - once you hit Corrupt status you'll just tear through Banes. Also, when you are Corrupt the Spirit Stone quests will turn into Rot quests, giving you more opportunities to get Rot points.

Cool, I didn't know about the rot quests.

This is a tough trophy to get early on, but is made easier once you have already had one rot win. Having a rot win will unlock a ring you can equip at the start of the game that gives you an instant +2 rot from the start.
First you have that you should start off by trying to get yourself killed by Banes (as each time you do you gain one rot), while using any cards you get that give you bonus rot. Once you are corrupted (+5 rot) you will need to instead kill the banes to gain rot. If you are also somehow prestige leader you may get opportunities to give yourself more rot through the daily King’s decree.
