Sana is from the Bear clan and is a diurnal character, ie. has an affinity to the day. Sana is high in spirit to start with, and low in fight, meaning that fighting other heroes early on will be an issue.

The best way to win with her is to aim for prestige by using her hero skill (spirit replaces fight when battling corrupted enemies) to kill Banes to get prestige, while still doing your quests.

Or, alternatively, Sana is also a good choice of character to attempt to succeed in a rot victory to kill the king, because once corrupted her skill will give her a huge advantage over rotted AI and therefore the king. This means that she can kill Banes efficiently to gain more rot than the king, then use her high spirit to both use Spell cards often (because high spirit= more magic to use Spell cards), and enter the Castle via the flame symbol flag entrance. The result of all this will be that Sana will now have a rot dice advantage, and her spirit skill advantage making a fight against the king easier.
