How to unlock the ...Happily Ever After achievement in Armello - Definitive Guide

Not a solution but a nice thing to know...
When you go to your own xbox profile and check your games list,
Select armello and on the left you should see"stats"...
Click on it and one of the stats will state "thrones ascended"
This is your total wins in the game
Hope it helps because you cant track this one anywhere else

I have 239 wins, but the achievement has not appeared yet. already tried everything. deleted saves many times. wrote to the developers, nothing helps.

My wins aren't even counting towards progression. This and Lemur Neeson are the last 2 achievements I need. Guess it is time to move on until a fix comes out.

My tracker counted a custom game (one I played to unlock the rot amulet), so the achievement unlocked at 51 wins.
Also, in case anybody was wondering, it doesn't matter if you change the AI or their amulets. I kept playing against the same 3 characters and equipped them with the rot amulet for easier prestige wins (I used Amber with the diamond ring and the prestige amulet - you can literally skip half your turns when you get to 10 prestige and get a prestige win).

My Thrones Ascended says 642 and no achievement. Playtime is 3d.

Thrones Ascended stat has nothing to do with wins. Mine says 33,531. That is probably your ranking in the game for wins. So I'm 33,531th out of x amount of players.

I hate that this is happening to you guys, but i dont know how to fix it...
All i can tell you is i did everything solo so maybe multiplayer could be the problem?
All my wins where pestige and soulgem wins...
And lemur neeson took me a lot of time but i got bribery played on me and then i had to use bribery to get it back all other ways did not work for me.
Dont know if any of this is useful but i hope it might help.

So, a foreword before I go into details about this. I have over 150 hours of experience from the Steam version, and a lot of technicalities I would usually explain, would make absolutely no sense to new players, and while I do feel that some streamlining is necessary, I don't think hand holding is ideal either. First of all, I highly suggest checking some of the Steam community guides if you're inexperienced with some of the advanced playstyles.

Despite there being less than 100 completions on TrueAchievements four years after release, there are no glitched or unobtainables as of 2022. Average completion time would be around 50-60 hours. Less if you have experienece already, and get lucky with RNG.

CAUTION: A recent update has broken Xbox stat tracking in regards to wins, it now counts Global stats across all platforms, instead of a personal stat. This most likely cannot be fixed or adjusted, so if you're working on this, it is highly suggested to make notes of your wins. You can remedy this somewhat by getting five wins each with every clan. Doing so will get you 20 wins towards this.

PROGRESSION BUG: Currently, an in-game bug occurs that will cause a softlock when selecting the Palace Entry quest. To avoid this, it is recommended to do no more than three quests per game. The devs are aware of this bug and should be working on a patch. I will update this once more details are published.

XP BUG: Sometimes you won't earn XP towards a character level after finishing a match. All other unlocks outside of this should work accordingly.

Armello has a varying degree of RNG elements. Because of this, some achievements may not be obtainable without some brute forcing, and deck milling (pulling cards from one source to find the cards you specifically need). To specify, the following are luck based:

ArmelloDungeon DealsThe Dungeon Deals achievement in Armello worth 48 pointsBe tricked and trapped by some troublesome lil' fellows.

ArmelloCircle of PowerThe Circle of Power achievement in Armello worth 41 pointsBe presented with a mystical choice.

ArmelloDown the Rabbit HoleThe Down the Rabbit Hole achievement in Armello worth 29 pointsIn a single game, find two Portals by Exploring Dungeons.

ArmelloDark TemptationThe Dark Temptation achievement in Armello worth 62 pointsBe tempted beyond restraint in a Forest.

In addition, there are specific achievements tied to the King that may require resets (these can be earned at the same time):
ArmelloThe Fresh PrinceThe The Fresh Prince achievement in Armello worth 117 pointsSteal the King's Crown in Battle with the Mirror Cape.

ArmelloFortified RegicideThe Fortified Regicide achievement in Armello worth 56 pointsKill the King in Battle, without taking any Wounds.

Be sure to check the individual solutions for more information.

The following set will require card/AI manipulation, and it is not suggested to do these until much later, when you have five wins with every clan, to adjust their setups.

ArmelloMachiavellianThe Machiavellian achievement in Armello worth 57 pointsIn one turn, Kill a Hero you have an Allies' Pact with and take one of their Settlements.

ArmelloCry us a RiverThe Cry us a River achievement in Armello worth 82 pointsMake 3 Kills in one Turn using River's Hero power.

ArmelloLemur NeesonThe Lemur Neeson achievement in Armello worth 225 pointsRegain a Recruited Follower to your Party whom you had already lost that game.

Check the individual solutions for more details.

Everything else not listed will eventually be straightforward after some trial and error. As it's random on what you can attain per game, it's difficult to make a roadmap for what to focus on, other than suggesting working on every type of win (Kingslayer/Rot etc.), and getting the unlocks needed to help towards other achievements.

Planning ahead to earn 50 victories:
(aka: The Rabbit that Masters All)

By the time you have the rest of the achievements (hopefully!) with only this one left, you should be familiar with the game mechanics, and know how to make the AI submit to your strategic prowess, but what if I told you that there's a stupidly easy way to ensure you win without needing to do much other than raid dunegons? Well, you're in luck, because with this quick step guide, you'll be laughing as everyone tries to overpower you, but fail.

Here's the setup:
Amber (You) with Scratch amulet (useful early game while rushing towards quests) and Diamond ring (you see where this is going).
Thane (AI) with Spoil amulet and Moonstone ring.
Mercurio (AI) with Spoil amulet and Turquoise ring.
Zosha (AI) with Spoil amulet and Turquoise ring.

◈ First Step:
Choose either Wits or Spirit quest unless there's a Rot weapon under either of the three choices, this is important as it will allow us to gain control of the board later on. If you fail the risk on any quest, reset and choose the safe option. Unfortunately, risk spins are locked regardless of resets, so 50% loss is basically 100% loss no matter what. Do this for the following two quests.

◈ Second Step:
Go spelunking for treasure and recruits! Each one you equip will add +1 Presteige, allowing you to control the King's Orders, as well as giving you default victory.

◈ Third Step:
Hoard damage spell cards to use on opponenets that are close to death, then take them out from afar, while racking up extra Presetige. Additionally, use all Rot cards as soon as possible, so you will always gain extra dice in Rot battles.

◈ Final Step:
Protect the King! If anyone successfully breaches the palace walls, use damage spells, or Banish to remove the troublemaker. Thankfully, as both Zosha and Mercurio can only evade when being chased by King's Guards, they're usually unlikely to do any real damage.

Don't let this achievement seem daunting, it's more of a time sink than being overly difficult, and as an addition, if you really enjoyed playing Armello, I recommend getting it on Steam during a sale, as it has far better support, and some extra features that the Xbox version lacks.
