How to unlock the Book of Omens achievement in Army of Ruin - Definitive Guide
I will quickly lay out some core choices for weapons and trinkets that scale well for a long Graveyard run and give you the most screen clear. Graveyard has an area that has several stone looking crypts that makes for a good chokepoint forcing monsters to attack you from left and right instead of up or down with the to utilize with this build if you need to.
Character
Selina - Thorns per level, Skill is a heal and AOE curse, and starts with necro gauntlets. She is great early game and will help you snowball into late game easier where you won't need the thorns and heal as much. The thorns and heal allow you to play aggressive early game with exp gem farming and grabbing chests in crowds.
Charms - I prioritize + projectiles first then damage then Projectile speed then attack size
Weapons
Ranger/Elven Bow - Best weapon in slot game imo. The weapons native Damage/Pierce/Knockback are hard to beat. Should always be favorited and prioritized for evolving. Add projectiles + projectile speed + Knockback from trinks/upgrades and it will give you crowd control and maximized DPS. Early game it has a disadvantage of only helping against foes to your right but soon as it evolves it becomes far more useful.
Toxic Stench/Rotting Coil - Scales really well early and mid-game and kills will usually be in your pickup range. Attack size will also maximize its potential.
Necromancer/Vampire Gauntlets - Also scale very well early game and will help you snowball. Late game you won't need as much but the leech is a big bonus of anything can get through your Coil and Elven Bow consistent DPS.
Volcanic/Igneous Orbs - These scale amazing late game with extra projectiles and speed. Another dps layer with burn to pair along with your poison from Elven Bow and Rotting Coil.
Snail or Javelin - Both spread around constant DPS. Not the best for mobility but lots of AOE and scales very well with attack size.
Whirlwind/War Pickaxe - Doesn't scale well early game but with added projectiles, attack size and proj. speed/ it will ramp up well mid and late game.
Trinkets
Silver Bullets - Adds +100% Projectile Speed and +125% Knockback maxed out. This will push your Elven bow across the screen faster as well as your fire orbs faster around you. The knockback is really helpful for keeping foes at a distance.
Supply Crate - When full health +3 Projectile -10% Speed. Early game you might lose the skill from to time taking damage but once Ranger Bow is evolved this will double your DPS and the move speed and full health caveat will be an afterthought.
Armored Pads - 100% Attack Size 150% Knockback -20% Fire Rate. Make all your attacks bigger and your elven bow push everything even more at the cost of very minimal fire rate. Why Not?
Obsidian Crown - +100% Damage -25% Fire Rate. You will need some damage to help with late game (15-30) waves. The fire rate cost doesn't affect your core build much.
Elven Quiver/Bloodthirst - More projectiles might be overkill but why not? Both have worse negatives than supply crate imo but can still pack a punch. Health Regen upgrades or Panacea Trinket can counter health drain from Bloodthirst.
Spyglass - Attack Size scales well with this build and only loose minimal speed.
Soul Container - 5 extra lives but -20% health. RNG won't always allow you to get the most optimized build. Extra resurrects can really help you play with confidence more and take more risks. This will fall off if you get the right build and will burn a trinket slot unfortunately. I recommend having one resurrect from the upgrades and using a defensive item like buckler instead to mitigate damages in the occasional crowd jams. Still a great trinket if you haven't unlocked majority of upgrades that help you level and snowball faster into late game waves.
